This is some good joke cooking! I say it’s a smaller version of Cracker Barrel. The staff is always friendly and the food is great! I love the friends chicken salad.

Lovely staff !!! I miss the location in Sebastian, so we have to drive an extra 20 minutes, but worth the trip … Great food, you’ll enjoy this place! They have different mugs and the one I was served with today was very appropriate for the season …

Excellent food, excellent service, and a really reasonable price make this our favorite Sunday breakfast place. I’ll bet it’s great food all the time.

We were so excited to find a cute breakfast place but oh my. Even though there seemed to be a number of locals in the place, we were soo disappointed. I was craving fried chicken. It was overcooked, hardly any meat, dry. It came with mashed potatoes that had a bad flavor, and potato salad that was bland and gravy like nothing I have ever tasted before. The homemade biscuits were doughy and a nasty color with no flavor. My husband ordered the club and the turkey was processed and thick. His sweet potato fries were also over cooked. I really wanted to like this place as the name is cute and I like to support mom and pop places but eating out at least 4 times a week, our palates are a little more refined for this place. If you like southern food, you may enjoy it. To say something positive, the special was a ham sandwich and it looked good on someone else’s plate.

Great location– great food. I wouldn’t recommend the biscuits-someone needs to adjust their recipe, too much baking soda, and not enough liquid=‘s dry and salty. However the eggs are always cooked on point and I love their friend green tomatoes — make any southerner proud! For the price you get a great amount of food! Bottomless cups of coffee and I’m in !

I drive by every day because I work just down the street. Thought I’d order take-out from there today at lunch. I wish I was kidding(but I’m not) when I say that it was the worst food I have put in my mouth in years. I ordered the country-fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and corn bread. I’m not sure which was worse, the very odd-tasting green beans(that had bits of unidentifiable things in them) that were the consistency of canned spinach; or the piece of flaccid«steak» with the soggy, mushy breading falling off of the slice of «beef» which was the size and thickness of a piece of bologna. The corn bread was flavorless and really dry. The only redeeming quality(sort of) was the edible real smashed potatoes, although I much prefer mine without the skins mashed in too, but to be honest even the potatoes had this very odd flavor that I can’t put my finger on. The brown gravy was thick and gloppy. I really hate to give a restaurant such a horrible review but I’m sorry to say that Southern Sisters deserves it, the food was just awful. If you are reading this Southern Sisters, please take note and fix your food or you won’t be in biz long.

I came up with 2 stars as an average… I have to say that the food should be given 3 stars, while the service should be given just 1 star. We visited for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and being that it was our first visit, we were not aware that this is a seat-yourself establishment. Despite the fact that we were standing right in the doorway, three waitresses walked right by us without letting us now that we could have had a seat, or asking if we were picking up a to go order. It wasn’t until another customer walked in, grabbed a menu and had a seat, that we noticed the«please seat yourself» sign which was half-hidden behind an artificial ivy foliage arrangement. Being a Southern girl, I was hoping for a warmer reception, at least an acknowledgement when we walked in. I was also hoping for a more flavorful gravy and must admit that I was appalled when I asked for extra gravy and was told there would be an extra charge. The Aarons style biscuits, gravy and egg that I ordered was pretty good, though very dry– hence the request for extra gravy. Never in my life have I had to pay extra for gravy, especially when there should have been more gravy slathered on in the first place. This place hints at being Southern, yet is lacking in traditional Southern hospitality and that down-home flavor. All in all the food was pretty good, though I don’t see myself going back any time soon.

Southern Sisters Café is one of the best brunch places in Brevard. Everything is well seasoned. The service is good as well. I can’t wait to come back again!

This was my third visit here and was the least favorable. In the past I have tried the pork chops(great), fried fish(tasty) and today I had the fried chicken. This should be the showcase on the menu in a place like this, but it was disappointing. Bland, tiny pieces that were over cooked. The only saving grace was dessert. The strawberry shortcake is really the star of this place. It alone will make me return to try something else before I enjoy one of my favorite desserts.

Small breakfast/lunch spot that is easy to miss. Has your typical diner atmosphere. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the tuna melt. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was very bland and flavorless. The biscuits were okay. The tuna melt on rye was good. The service was good and they were quite friendly. I did notice quite a bit of food being sent back to the kitchen. We ended up telling the waitress we didn’t like the biscuits and gravy and she offered us something different. The service gets a 5 food gets a 3. P.s it’s cold, bring a jacket!

Very good food, portions huge! Open on Sundays for our crazy church group. Glad they are open, now we have another option. Took a star away for less than enthusiastic service. I was personally ignored more than once. She did not appear to have a hearing problem.
