Best food I’ve had in Melbourne. Service was just a touch slow but the server more than made up for it with her outstanding attitude. I’d definitely recommend this place for good Mexican food!

Disgusting. Our server found it better to hang out with her fellow employees and enjoy their time together than serve us. Took us an hour to order dinner. Had to get up and go find her multiple times and one time I couldn’t find any employees, not even the bartender. The restaurant was 1000°F. We asked the server to turn the air down and she looked at us like she didn’t understand English. I love Mexican and am not a picker eater nor do I make reviews but this place seriously sucks. Oh and the best part… my stomach now hurts. Fml. Never going back there again. Its the next morning and my sister is sick as shit. This place is worse than a Chinese joint. Clearly she ate rat.

Fiesta Azteca has several locations in Brevard County and this one is my favorite. I decided to celebrate Cinco De Mayo at this location this year. Unfortunately I was running late and by the time I arrived the parking lot was full and I had to park down the street. There was a lengthy wait for a table so I told the hostess I would sit at the bar. The bar is very small and it was extraordinarily busy due to the holiday. I sat next to a couple who had also opted to eat at the bar due to the wait. Angela, the barmaid, was obviously displeased that we sat at the bar and expected to order food. The couple next to me told her the hostess indicated it was acceptable and I chimed in that I was also told I could sit at the bar for drinks and dinner. She rolled her eyes, said there were no menus available and stormed off to make our drinks. Fortunately a man sitting at the bar waiting for a table had a menu which we shared. Although I asked for a Margarita with plenty of salt, Angela used a plastic glass and there was barely any salt on the rim so I asked for a replacement. She salted another plastic glass even though there were plenty of clean Margarita glasses in plain sight and the rim was not satisfactory but I drank the Margarita anyway. When I ordered a second Margarita I requested a glass with a properly salted rim and was almost surprised to be accommodated considering her bad attitude. I wondered who she was saving the glasses for if not for a patron sitting at the bar? The couple next to me and I placed our food orders using the borrowed menu and Angela tersely commented she didn’t know when we would get our food. A man stepped behind the bar to help out as the place was a madhouse. Although it was obvious he didn’t usually tend bar, he was both gracious and helpful and he provided us with silverware and napkins. I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas and they were delicious. The couple sitting next to me realized that none of us had received our complimentary chips and salsa and the man filling in was nice enough to bring them some, although he didn’t think to bring me any. I didn’t mind as I had plenty to eat on my plate. I’ve worked in the service industry in the past and I’ve worked under similar circumstances on New Years Eve when my place of employment was overwhelmed with customers and drink orders. Angela needs to learn that although the environment is challenging, a barmaid can earn a lot of respect — and tips — by demonstrating a good attitude. I have decided despite the surly service I will give this review four stars because I went to the restaurant on the busiest night of the year, the Margaritas were good, the food was excellent and it was a good value for the price.

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and each time I’ve experienced great service and wonderful food. No complaints other than they are not 24hours for when I have a craving late at night! lol can’t wait to go back! Enjoy

My wife and I ate here for lunch 2 weeks ago and the food was super delicious! We’ve been to many Mexican restaurants over the past 30+ years and this is definitely one worth mentioning. Mexican food is our favorite and we consider ourselves to be connoisseurs. The food was great, the salsa was perfect, the service was impeccable. Alan was our server this last time we were there and we asked for some hotter salsa to mix with the regular salsa and a spoon and he was back within a minute. We asked for more salsa a couple of times and again he was back within a minute. Alan returned several times asking if we needed anything and that was refreshing. We could not ask for a better experience than this was. I’d give this place 6 stars it that were possible. People giving this place bad reviews must not know much about good Mexican food. Our experiences here over the last 6 – 7 years have been spot on every time.

The food is not horrible but not good either. They slather a sauce on their shrimp fajitas like its Chinese food, and dump that taco seasoning mix on the chicken an beef. Also, I ordered«fajitas for two» which apparently means that for the extra $ 6/ish, what you get is not extra meat, but extra sides. I’ve never seen this before, and why would I want extra sides when I don’t have any meat for them? The guy was nice enough to accommodate me and give me more meat«this one time» but that’s fine bc once at this place is all I need to know not to go back.

I have been here many times and to many of their locations. Every location is decorated in that rustic baja style so many Americans are used to. I must say that the food here is not my favorite at all. Usually dishes are under spiced and overcooked. Meat dishes like Machaca come out dry and tacos come out with stale shells and lack flavor. Mariachis make for a good enviroment but the food is equally as important.

There are three Fiesta Azteca locations in the Melbourne area. They are all somewhat different. I think this is my favorite. We had a very good lunch. This is one of those Mexican restaurants where they warn you the plate is hot, and it is really HOT. That’s usually a good sign. We had fajitas and a taco/enchilada combo. Both were tasty. I had shredded beef on the enchilada and taco. It’s not clear on the menu that they offer a choice of meat on tacos, but the waitress offered that option right away. Good service. Elaborately carved and painted booth décor.

We love this place! The guacamole is awesome and so are the margaritas! This location near viera is just as good as the original location on 192! Delicious!!!

Nestor and his team always take great care of us. Regulars for more than 20 years, this is our South America getaway. Try the tacos and burritos, but the fajitas steal the show. Very good margaritas as well. Service is always.good. Only suggestion… add a couple more authentic items or dishes to the menu. Trust us Nestor, we will love them!

One of the few Mexican restaurants that I truly enjoy. My only [minor] complaint is that my last phone order took twice as long as expected, but it was worth it — the food was fantastic and the service was excellent.

Really bad. Salsa was like V8 with some mashed onions in it. I asked if the mole was made in house and the server had no clue. Nor did she offer to check. I went with steak fajitas, thinking there is no way to mess that up. It tasted like rotted meat. I guess I should have known better since they cater to people who probably have little experience with good Mexican food. I didn’t see any other Hispanics eating there. Just my dumb self. Yuck!!!

My husband and I went to Fiesta Azteca on one of our date nights. It isn’t often we go out to dinner since we have two little ones who don’t like to sit still in restaurants. After reading mixed reviews about every single Mexican food restaurant in the area,(minus Taco Bell which strangely has the highest reviews lol) we settled on this one. At 5:30 on a Saturday evening we were seated immediately, which was nice. We were given a tiny cup of salsa and some cold chips. The salsa was runny but not bad. After ten minutes of just sitting there our waitress finally arrived to take our drink order. It took her another ten minutes to bring us an ice water and a beer. That annoyed me a little bit since I was very thirsty. After taking our food order, we didn’t see her again for a good while. I ordered the Super Chimichanga with shredded beef and my husband ordered the steak fajitas. Now, before I continue, I was raised in Arizona about twenty minutes from the Mexico border so good, quality Mexican food was never hard to find. Surprisingly, my Chimi was pretty damn good. Both of our food arrived at the table piping hot and smelling delicious. It was GOOD. It wasn’t great, but it was good enough that I would go back. What I would NOT go back for is the service. My husband and I tip our servers well. How hard is it to be polite or to check on your customers to see if maybe they need something while they are eating? We literally had to flag our waitress down for our check. People have bad days, but you shouldn’t take it out on customers.

These folks deserve more than 3 stars. We did wait a little more than typical Mexican places at this caliber but they kept us happy with endless chips and salsa. Dinner was just fine. Nothing to complain about. Staff was friendly and checked in often. We ordered chicken chimichanga, fish tacos, a couple beef tacos and some cheese enchiladas. All very yummy. Cheese was not cheap and greasy like many other similar places! So far the best Mexican I have found in the area.

Horrible food. The food was bland and over priced. The drinks are really expensive. The chease dip is something I could have made at home by melting a bunch of shredded cheese together and threw in some pico de gallo. The food took forever to be served and the appetizer came out just right before the food. Don’t waste your money or time.

Mind you, we went here for dinner on cinco de mayo. The service was beyond terrible. We asked the hostess for a table of 2, she put our name on the list and told us 15 minutes, so we went to the bar to grab some drinks. The strawberry margarita blended was good, had a decent amount of alcohol in it and the modelo was nice and cold. $ 12 not terrible, but it did take 20 minutes to get the bartenders attention. 45 minutes later we still weren’t seated. We went back to the hostess, who insisted that there were still people ahead of us. We went back to the bar. 10 Minutes later back to the hostess, who finally sat us. We were starving an already on our second drinks. We ordered immediately and were thankful to have chips and salsa. 40 minutes later we got our food… I was really unhappy about the wait. Thankfully the food was not bad. We ate, paid and bolted. I understand it was a holiday, but there is no reason a dinner should have taken over 3 hours at a mexican restaurant. I will not be coming back here because the service was so terrible. The 2 stars is for the the food and drinks, otherwise I would have rated even less.

The portions were quite right for lunch(and would have been for dinner too). Got some pretty good queso(although it was different and lumpier than I’m used to). The place was pretty well kept up(except for the«Happy» sign out front — see my picture haha). They could use a baby-changing station in the men’s room.

Such a great place for comfort mexican food. Love everything on the menu. Fresh salsa and chips and the servers a good at their jobs. Would have given 5 stars but this is the second time we have been in and the lil spider webs and dust bunnies on the decorations bother me. But we will be back!

Working from a new location has the benefit of opening up a whole new set of nearby lunch destinations. Good timing too, as I was running out of nearby restaurants to try! One of my more recent destinations was Fiesta Azteca with a couple of co-workers. The lunch specials are a good price, maybe $ 5 to $ 6 on average. Chips and salsa come out to the table before ordering, and the salsa was pretty good. Service was a little lackluster, it took a couple of requests for extra salsa before it actually showed up on the table. I ordered a chicken burrito lunch special, and a pork burrito arrived(they realized the mistake before I touched it and replaced it with my chicken burrito which had been in the waitress’s other hand.) The bills came out wrong at the end of the meal, but they were corrected. The burrito itself was good. It wasn’t mind-blowing or anything but I’d go back, especially for the lunch special prices.

It is so close to where I live, so I was so sad when I finally dined here. Is it so hard to make decent Mexican? Can we have a slightly authentic menu? Please, someone come here and open one. Everything we tried was just awful. Edit: After quite some time, I re-read this and realize I should qualify my comments. If you have never experienced really good and authentic Mexican food, this may be good for you. It is an extremely Americanized«take» on Mexican. This doesn’t mean the flavors are bad, it just means this isn’t actually mexican food. In other words, if the sign said this was a Mexican inspired American restaurant, I may have given it a better review. But I don’t like when a restaurant advertises a cuisine and is not authentic. That said, I have seen that many people in the Melbourne/Viera area have never had the real thing, so with a lack of anything to compare to, I guess this would be ok. So to sum it up, you may enjoy this place, but don’t ever go to Mexico or any area in the US with a large Mexican population expecting to find food like this. My rating remains unchanged, but I felt the need to clarify it. However, if you are in the Melbourne area and would like to get something closer to reality, have a look at my review of «La Bamba» in Rockledge, or better yet, head down to Fellsmere.
