This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We arrived Dec 29th and paid for two weeks. Right after the 1st I went for a walk and was locked out of my room and told we did not pay our bill. I told them my husband had paid and when he got home from work this matter would be taken care of. They embarrassed me in front of the whole staff and people in the lobby. Later that night when my husband came home we went down and found out that their fees had changed 4.00 and that is why i was locked out. When talking to the manager he says this is their policy. We got out of there and will never go back it is loud and will never stay there again.

Ummmm, no thanks. We were in Melbourne Florida for the National’s spring training and needed a place to stay for a month. We started looking for a place WAY to late and instead of finding a home to rent; we were stuck with an extended stay type of hotel as a last resort, which led us to this place. First of all, it’s totally frustrating since Melbourne Florida is a low rent area, especially coming from Los Angeles, CA where we now live and during this spring training time everyone in town wants to totally jack up the prices on everything. I’m not saying this hotel did, but with home rental and apartment rentals. I say this because; the price was definitely fare at this location. But, the location was too far from where we had to be for the spring training in Viera and Rockledge. We are in no way picky, and this place would be ok for a few nights or maybe a week, but after a few days we noticed some setbacks. First off, cleanliness and maid services. If you are staying a week or more, maid service is available at no charge one a week. When I came home one night to realize nobody had cleaned on our scheduled day, I had to deal with the front desk. This is what we were told, that the maids are scheduled from 9am-4pm, but as soon as they are done they leave. We were out of the room by 10:30am and that was apparently too late. This happened 2 days in a row and it’s ridiculous. We are paying for a service included in the price and the maids should stay the full time, that’s their job. Which leads me to believe that the hotel pays these people hourly and don’t want to pay for any extra time. I would understand if I left the room at 3pm, but 10:30am, give me a break, a regular hotel has a checkout of 11am so they should ATLEAST give you until then to clean. Moreover their walls were pealing and the refrigerator was dirty and the cabinets in the bathroom were filthy as was the carpet. I literally used the extra sheets to make a path over the carpet from the bed onto the hard wood floors. The sofa bed was really sleazy, but what did I really expect from a sofa bed? There was a small pool but nothing worth swimming in. As expected in Florida all the guests were seniors or white trash. Nothing unexpected with that as this whole area is much like that. So, in summation, the only problem I see with this place is the cleaning service, which is probably out sourced. They clean surface dust, but if you open drawers, etc. nothing is up to par. We wound up trying to get out of our month long contract. The front desk would no allow us to without paying for the entire month, over $ 2,000. So we called corporate and after only one conversation, corporate was so kind and allowed us to pay the regular rate for the week we stayed and not be charged for the entire month. As a company, I don’t blame this chain because corporate was super kind, but it’s a small town with not much going on, so I didn’t expect much. We did however find Candlewood Suites, which was closer to where we needed to be and much much cleaner for around the same price, plus free laundry. Both places allow dogs, which is a huge bonus as well.

If you ever find yourself in Melbourne, FL, this Extended Stay is a decent place to stay. I’m only giving it three stars mainly for the price. Yeah, this hotel is nice, but it’s not $ 89/night minimum nice. There’s a few other extended stays in the area that are $ 59 and just as good. That said, I enjoyed the atmosphere of this hotel. Recently remodeled, each room as a small kitchenette, full-size fridge, some dishes and flatware, decent sized bathroom, clean, comfortable beds and a flat screen TV. The bathroom could have been a bit bigger, but it served its purpose. The hotel staff were friendly, parking is free and checkout is 11 a.m. They’ll hold luggage behind the desk if necessary. There’s also a «to-go breakfast» each morning until 9:30 a.m. that features oatmeal, cereal, fruit, breakfast bars and coffee/tea. Nice touch even though the selection is limited. There’s a nice-sized swimming pool, laundry on-site and vending. There’s also a free airport check-in computer and printer for boarding passes. I’d stay here again, especially if I got a deal on or something. The rates would definitely be lower.
