Everything here is way over-​priced. Can’t imagine they’ll stay in business too long.

I Never have been more disgusted by a public restroom in my entire life… I was born and raised in this town. I’ve been to local concerts and events that I have used temporary restrooms that have been cleaner after a long weekend. There is absolutely no excuse for a major company to employ people that allow their standards to be in such an unsanitary state. I kindly told the first employee that I saw (after having to interrupt the conversation he was having with his buddy) about the situation… he told me, «yeah.people keep saying that «goodbye Dicks. I will go elsewhere and so will the last 50 years that my family has lived in this town. I didn’t have a zero star to choose… lucky I had to pick one!!!

So difficult! Bought a kayak there and it was defective. There was a big dent in it. I removed the dent but it kept popping back. Finally I gave up and tried to exchange it. They didn’t have another one in store or in any nearby stores. They said they wouldn’t have any others in until next year so they gave me my money back. Sounds ok except for the fact that I now have NO kayak yet TONS of kayaking gear which totals out to a couple hundred dollars that I cannot get my money back for and cannot use!
They have the kayak on their website but it costs more therefore they will not exchange it. Considering all the money I spent on this, that they lose when they refund the purchase, you would think it wouldn’t be a big deal to override the difference and save the sale. Even if I wanted to spend the extra money to get the same exact kayak I couldn’t because the refund is still being processed. My family trip this weekend is cancelled.
When I bought the kayak I got it for a great price, customer service was friendly and helpful yet their problem solving services are not so accommodating. Giving me a refund for the kayak did little to solve my problem. I am left with no replacement and I am still out hundreds of dollars for the paddles, seats, life jackets, waterproof bags, and car rack.
Next time I plan on making a large purchase I will not take the risk of shopping at Dick’s.

This place is GREAT! I love the variety in this store. Plus, they have great sales and even nicer people. If you have a credit card (like my dad does), you get extra savings and accumulate points towards more discounts. Whenever I shop here, I feel like the Discount Queen of Melbourne. Good stuff!

We stop here whenever we visit the Melbourne Mall. They have a little of everything in all price ranges. They also have experts in the use of the various fitness machines they sell.
