Very old location. Still up and running and well maintenence. They always seem to get very busy. Iv never had to wait in such a long line to get icecream. They offer quite a few didn’t flavors. They have canned fruit to make lots of Sundays and shakes. We target 2 enjoy this place.

Legendary staple of the Melbourne area. Cheap prices and great desserts. This place has a cult following and rightfully so.

Not sure why this place is so special. At 9p Saturday night in October the line was long, moved slowly, and was NOT worth the wait. We ordered a mocha shake, root beer shake, hot fudge sundae and a Boston banana hot fudge sundae shake. ALL were average if not below. I’ve made better at home. Service was average and inside did not look clean. I like to support mom and pop type places but only if it’s worth it. Save yourself the trip. Chick-Fil-a Oreo shakes are even better than Dels. I don’t mean to be nasty, just honest.

Items are ok. Ice cream cone almost melted by the time I got to the car. Not terrible but I wouldn’t say it is the best I’ve ever had.

Portions are amazing but not the best quality of ice cream. The lines are super long during the weekend nights. If you want ice cream for cheap, this is the place, but don’t expect Cold Stone. Also, the employees are always crabby when I’m there… Lighten up.

Yummy soft serve with various menu options(freezes, shakes, malts, dips with different flavor shells, add ins, etc). I got the chocolate/vanilla twist cone dipped in chocolate shell and the bf got a vanilla cone dipped in the butterscotch shell. However, the ice cream melted really fast and the staff we interacted with were really rude(and not just to us). Okay ice cream, but would not go back or recommend because of the snappy service(how can you be grumpy working at a stand founded by the«sweetest man in town»?)

This place is a local gem. You can come here and try something new every week. Over fifty flavors and combinations of things. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! A small of anything is more then enough. Usually like the dipped cones and hot fudge butterscotch sundae but tried a Boston shake this time. A sundae with a milkshake underneath. Chocolate chip milkshake with a hot fudge sundae on top, amazing!

Rude! 1st and last time going. Ice Cream is good but who can’t get good soft serve. Taking my girls to have ice cream after beach day was not pleasant experience with rude management that won’t speak to you like a human

This place is an institution. Ice cream served with a smile. What could be better? How about the large selection of ice cream and toppings? I usually get an Oreo freeze with peanut butter ice cream. This place is a must-go for anyone in town.

Great ice cream that is served out of what feels like a 50’s style building. Very well done with an AMAZING number of options for each thing — I bet the shakes had 40 flavor options. The only negative is that they only take cash and the line was pretty long on a Sunday night. I bet we were behind 10 people and it took more than 15 minutes to get our ice cream. It was well worth the wait. Truly amazing!

A long time local establishment know for their ice cream cones, sundaes, shakes, malts, and brain freezing icees. I usually get a butterscotch or hot fudge sundae with nuts and whip cream. One of their delicious shakes which come in a wide assortment or flavors or a chocolate malt. Today I got a butterscotch sundae with whip cream, nuts, and a cherry on top. It was delicious and they are generous with thee toppings. I have been coming here since I was a boy when we would visit my extended family here in the summer. My mother has been enjoying their frozen treats since she was a little girl. I bring my own children here now and it is quite nice to share a great treat with my mom and the kids. This old school estabishment is must try in Melbourne.

Soft serve ice cream that is tasty, cheap, and heaping out of the cone… what is not to love? If you are in the areas you must stop but do remember that it is cash only.

Apparently, this is THE ice cream spot to go to on the Space Coast. Although I’m not super wild about soft serve, the ice cream was good and took the edge off for a hot day. Then again, every day in the tropics is a hot day! Serving sizes here are HUGE, and prices are cheap. Now keep in mind, parking is sparse, so you might need to park on the street and walk about a block and a half to get here. Also, Del’s is a cash-only establishment. Glad I brought plenty of cash and saved myself embarrassment.

Del’s is without a doubt the best soft serve in the area. Opened for years, this place churns out delicious recipes– such as Boston shakes, malts, and the classic soft serve with your choice of stir in(one of my favorite combos is vanilla with gummy bears). I’ve been coming since I was a little girl. One night my boyfriend had gone to grab some ice cream(we frequent Dels quite often) but only had his debit card. The lady working told him to him to pay it back the next time we came. So last night when we returned to for more ice cream, we explained our situation to the gentleman working. To our surprise, he thanked us for remembering and comped those ice creams from the previous visit. I love this place!

What beach break would be complete without ice cream? My Mom and I can wax on about where we had ice cream on our various beach trips over the years and Del’s certainly deserves a spot on that list of great memories! The soft serve is well aerated making the texture smooth and creamy. Mom did chocolate soft serve with a chocolate dip coat. I went for the chocolate peanut butter swirl. The peanut butter was nutty but smooth and I agree with the reviwer who called it a cold, creamy peanut butter cup. Crazy huge portions for the price and I only know a few folks who could manage anything larger than a small. Great local landmark and a must do in Melbourne.

We have been coming to Dell’s freeze for years. Love their ice cream. Sometimes there’s a long line so be willing to wait but it’s well worth it

There’s not much more I can say about Del’s Freez that hasn’t already been said before in all of the other adoring reviews. It’s a Brevard County staple for a reason. I’ve only ever had their soft serve ice cream here, but I can emphatically agree with everyone else in saying it is fantastic, though limited in flavors(they only have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter, chocolate/vanilla swirl, and chocolate/peanut butter swirl.) The milkshake flavors are far more, and I will hopefully try one next time at Del’s. My favorite flavor of soft serve here by far is the chocolate/peanut butter swirl, because it feels as if you’re consuming a huge cold soft Reese’s Cup. Also, even getting a small is not actally small… the portions are HUGE. I always easily split a small soft serve with my brother and sister, and that alone fills us all up. However, the lines are indeed perpetually long and the service pretty slow, even just to get an ice cream. The parking lot is weird and difficult to get into, and the seating area is… just really disgusting always. Still though, cheap prices for huge portions of good ice cream. Worth it.

Oh, Del’s, you and I are gonna start a bad romance. This place is, the BOMBdotCOM! A cute little roadside hot dog hut and soft serve haven. When I read other Unilocalers reviews, I bookmarked and drooled for days, then after a creamy, delicious dream, I got my soft serve on, y’all! I went around 1:30PM in the afternoon, on a Monday. There was no line. Dodged that bullet. The menu was a bit overwhelming to read. There was stuff on a marquee, things listed in the windows, it was chaos! I opted for a peanutbutter cone and feeling extra indulgent, I got that bad boy dipped. Oh, crimoney! I’ve never inhaled a cone like this. I ordered a medium and it was huge, I deeply regret not taking a photo of it! It melted rather quickly. No, I was just in full on hefer mode. Seriously, it was frozen peanut butter-creamy heaven. I will skip the chocolate coat next time because the ice cream was so decadent. They serve a variety of ice cream confections: shakes, sundaes, and in a plain ol dish. Seriously, Del’s and I are gonna have a love hate relationship. My cone was only $ 2.60. I can’t wait to get my fat kid on here again. See you soon, Del’s.
