I don’t usually take the time to write a bad review, but in this case I had to. The first time we went to this restaurant they were very accommodating and kind. The chef came out to talk to us about special food requests(due to dietary restrictions) and they did the best they could to help. The second time we went it was completely opposite. They could care less about the food allergies that we mentioned and our dietary needs. And when they brought out our order, there was everything that we had explicitly asked to avoid. Might try again in the future, but will call ahead about allergies and ask them to be ready for the challenge instead of just giving it a lame excuse.

Great ambience, great food, great service. The owner/management knows what it takes to run a good restaurant.

Wouldn’t go back to this restaurant and here’s why… Service/wait — We went on a Friday night around 6:30. Granted, a busy time for any restaurant. Our party wanted to wait for a booth, so the hostess let us know it would be about 20 minutes. An hour and 2 fairly weak gin & tonics later, we were finally seated. We didn’t actually receive our orders until closer to 8:30. Almost 2 hours after getting there. They did keep bringing us bread & dipping oil/herbs, which I will say was tasty. Unfortunately for me, it was the highlight. Food — Like I said, the bread was very good. Between my wife and I, we tried their mussels appetizer(served in garlic white wine sauce) and their baked spaghetti & meatballs. The mussels were edible but the«garlic white wine» sauce looked like dish water & had zero flavor. The pasta in the baked spaghetti and meatballs was(a) linguine and(b) undercooked. The meatballs were very dense and just«meh». Nothing special at all. The Caesar salad that came with it was OK. Not bad, but not anything remarkable at all. Our server was a nice girl but everything just took FAR too long. The wait, the time to order, the time to get our food. If the food had been wonderful, I would’ve given this place probably 3(possibly 4) stars. But I can’t advise anyone trying it out based on our experience. For what it’s worth, the place is nicely laid out inside.

My wife and I were very excited to return here, a year later, as we were coming back to Melbourne Beach for our anniversary. And after our awesome experience last year, we were truly dissapointed in the overall experience this year. To start, we made open reservations for 8:30 p.m. Keep in mind they had 9 p.m. plus reservations. When we arrived, we were told that the kitchen closed at 9. This is a Thursday night of a holiday week! So whatever we ordered needed to be in soon. Uhhh… what about the people that would come in at 9??? put in some microwaveable meals? We brought a bottle of wine with us for a very reasonable $ 10 corkage fee. The young perhaps inexperienced waitress poured two huge glasses of wine. Uhhh. no, that’s not how you do it. You open, you pour a little, let someone taste it… then pour for the other person(s) and then return to taster. Just a bit off putting. If i was doing fast food, I would have expected, but at $ 20 dishes, uhh. no. We ordered one entrée to split(we remember them being huge last year and taking so much back with us). We got a soup with it. The waitress came out with the soup and said to be very careful with the bowl since the burners were off and she heated it up. HOLDON… did she just tell me she nuked my soup??? …could have left that detail out. The salad was fine, nothing to speak of. The bread was plain, nothing to speak of. The entrée came out. It was a chicken dish that was red sauce with a hint of madeira. We remember last year it being a) big and b) incredible. Neither were true this time. Do you want any dessert? Heck no… check please! A few other things to point out: * Restaurant brightness. They needed to dim the lights a bit. Was way too bright. * Music. They had on this dreadful xmas music. It was like this weird muffled music. If you have seen Polar express you know what I’m talking about. So sad when you can’t relive what was so good. On to the next!

Very nice little Italian place. Stopped by on a whim with my sister and fiancée. I had the chicken parm, linguine with marinara, and a house salad. The salad was all romaine, and the dressing was tasty. The chicken parm was good too, and a healthy portion. My fiancée and sister split the grilled mahi. They also had the salad and were pleased, though my sister thought there we too much dressing on it. The mahi was good as well, though slightly over-seasoned. It was cooked perfectly. The real surprise was the roasted vegetables. I didn’t taste them, but both ladies raved about them, especially the hint of spice. We concluded the meal with some tiramisu, which was spectacular. All in all it was a fantastic meal, and the wait staff was very friendly and polite. The portion sizes were generous. The three of us recommend Brio Italiano.

Flying Parmesan and green tomatoes. Our server obviously did not want to be there, was very slow to bring us our drinks, very slow putting in our food order, and then tried pushing us out the door before we were finished eating. The kitchen ran out of the soup of the day, and the server brought out a side salad instead without asking and assuming I would just take it with whatever salad dressing he had already put on it. I looked down at the salad to see a green tomato slice on it — really?! Later when he offered freshly grated Parmesan on our food, he was so violent with the grater that cheese flew all over the table, some landing in my lap. Overall, while the food was ok and portions were large, the service was terrible.

This pizzeria definitely has my vote. Their crust is fresh, not too thin, and they use fresh mozzerella. Delivery is always fast(I’ve never eaten in there because it is quite small) and it’s consistently good. I go back all the time!

I like Melbourne(Florida) and was happy to find this restaurant in the downtown area. It is a small, friendly restaurant — I would say more on the fancy side than the casual side(tho not at all stuffy or upscale). I loved it. The food was spectacular and the service even better. The prices are reasonable — in the $ 11 to $ 17ish area. Being that I am a vegetarian, I really didn’t look at the meat prices, so they might be more. There are a LOT of selections. I had the pasta primavera. Vegetablesover penne in olive oil with garlic, a touch of cracked pepper and salt. It was soooo good. It’s served with a nice salad and fresh, delicious bread. My friend had pasta in pomodoro sauce and it was also delicious. The only objection I have to this restaurant is that they serve veal. While I object to all meat dishes, veal is particularly offensive. But, other than that — it’s all good! I will go back.

I had the chicken piccata. It was delicious. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. The linguine was cooked perfectly. Plenty of capers just the way I like it. However, there was too much oil in the dish. It made for very slippery noodles! Service was great. All staff were very friendly. I will go back again.

I’m going to have to say Meeehhhhh… Came to Brio as part of a large group for lunch. I know large groups are tough to handle so I’m really basing this review off of the food. Although our group was pretty much the only people in the restaurant, the restaurant should’ve taken a different approach in handling the group. Was able to try the bruscetta and the meatballs for appetizers. Both were decent. The bruscetta’s tomatoes I think were the wrong type. Really didn’t look too red or appetizing but wasn’t bad. Ordered the chicken parmigiana really because I was restricted to what I could choose from. That came with a side salad which to my surprise wasn’t really cold. Was actually kind of warm. There wasn’t too many toppings on it… really just lettuce. The chicken parm came out drenched in cheese(like Holy Crap, that’s a lot of cheese). It was standard chicken and parm although cover melted cheese with anything and it’ll taste good. I’ve had better Italiano but for the prices, this place is decent. I would like to try for dinner sometime and try the red wine and dessert.

I’ve eaten here four times. The first time was fabulous, the second was ok, the third so-so, and my fourth and last time was awful. I always look for consistency in a restaurant and Brio Italiano did not come through.

Went back to Brio for the 2nd time last night. Met some friends for dinner and I must say, I was really impressed. The service is top notch, quick and friendly. This is a very warm and classy restaurant. I ordered the chicken picatta entrée and was really impressed. It was tender and moist with a nice taste. I also had the house wine– the cabernet, which had a hearty, robust flavor. Beautiful restaurant. Delicious food. Excellent service. P. S. My friend said the cannoli was one of the best he’s ever tasted!!!
