I swung by this place upon seeing the sign they posted outside: «$ 1 tacos Tuesdays & Fridays!» How could I say no? The place, though quaint, was nearly empty & the vibrant colors kept both dining spaces feeling pretty open. The menu was clearly marked, easy to read, & the staff were quite friendly. I had two tacos– the pastor(marinated pork) was tasty, minced into little pieces & topped with onion & cilantro. The other was their lengua(beef tongue) — it may have been $ 2 instead of one, but HOLYCOW, it’s the tastiest I’ve had in years! I’m telling you, if you haven’t had this stuff before, this is one of the best ways to get introduced! Tender, flavorful, & so delicious! And who can argue with those prices?!? Even on the days $ 1 tacos isn’t going on, I’d still go in, everything sounds good! Definitely would recommend this place for anyone on a budget(kudos it’s by RCC, right?) & hankering some major deliciousness!

Good food and a good value. It has all the usual authentic Mexican fillings like lengua, Al pastor, carnitas, asada, etc. However, you can also get enchiladas and combo plates. The combination plates are served with sour cream and fresh guacamole. They taste good and the presentation on the plate is attractive.

A great little hole in the wall lunch spot. The $ 1 tacos on Tuesday and Friday rock. Took the kids for lunch and we all left fat and sassy,

The food served here is absolutely fantastic. Dollar tacos tues and fri are amazing, the tortillas by themselves are delicious. The friendly staff and homey atmosphere provide for a great local dining experience. I’m so glad I discovered the wonder that is Tacos Mi Terra. Thank you for prospering in our wonderful growing community.

Ownership has changed, and while the new owner is very friendly and the house made salsas/tortillas taste just as good, the pastor does not taste the same. Still good, but not quite what it used to be.

Delightful hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot. Very little in the way of décor, but the ladies who work the front counter are always pleasant, and my tacos are consistently delicious. Beware, the service can be a bit slow at times, as it is located directly next to RCC/SOU Medford, and everyone in the area knows this is a good go-to spot for lunch. I almost always get tacos al pastor, occasionally I will branch out to nachos, and BONUS, Tuesday and Fridays are $ 1 tacos! Absolutely worth the wait on those days. I feel like perhaps this review is too short to do the place justice, but I guess it is a perfect representation of Tacos Mi Tierra: simple, to the point, GOOD.

I really love this place! It’s fresh and different than regular Mexican restaurants. I love their fish tacos and boyfriend loves their huge burritos. He gives this place his Mexican stamp of approval which like never happens. If your looking for a good place to have lunch, I’d suggest here. The customer service is great and friendly. Although I don’t think their open on the weekends. It’s great if you attend RCC because it’s right there and its cheap.

Great food the waitstaff greet you when you come into the door and they even thank you for coming in when you leave. The burrito I had was amazing it was packed perfectly to the point that all of the ingredients meshed perfectly. it so fresh with different heat levels for salsa that all had the perfect levels of both heat and acidity

I visited Tacos Mi Tierra last week. I’ve been before, once, and visited again. The tortillas are made on site which is a plus. You don’t see a lot of that. The chicken taco was the best I’ve had in the valley, even La Tapatia. The Pastor was not the best I’ve ever had and a bit greasy, an experience new to me with Pastor. No salsa bar. Sad. The escabeche carrots were delicious, but I would have appreciated more than one small piece. The girl at the counter accepted my twenty dollar bill and counted out change for a ten. I had to correct her. It was probably just a mistake. The rice was nice as it seemed totally homemade but the beans were very bleh.

I’m so glad my sweetie suggested this place– YUM. I admittedly haven’t tried many taquerias in the valley because what I’ve had so far has left a lot to desire so I basically have given up. Tacos Mi Tierra was reminiscent of one of the hundreds of authentic taquerias littered throughout Chicago where I spent most of my life. First, the place was grungy to a T. Spot on. That’s exactly how it should be. I loved it and felt like I was back in a big city(well, practically). I got the carnitas burrito. I expected a Mucho Gracias flavorless rice-filled thing and was SO surprised at how tender and flavorFUL this burrito was. Bravo! It’s not the best I’ve had, but for here in the Rogue Valley where pickings are slim, it’s pretty damn high up there. I really enjoyed it. They offer 4 salsas(none labeled. You are on your own). I tried and adored the green one– it was like a spicy lime with a nice balance of sweet to spice. My one quibble is that we ordered chips with the salsa and got a skimpy half-plateful of chips. The chips were decent, but man, that salsa was sooo good we just wanted more chips to get through it all! I wish they’d double up on the chips. Last, they have Diet Coke, people– NOT Pepsi. Woo hoo! This always makes me happy.

The food is very good, in fact in my opinion it’s some of the best Mexican in town. However, in my several times of eating at this establishment, the woman behind the counter was very unfriendly, and when customers asked her questions, she would just point at the board very irritated by them. This has yet to stop me from returning, but be prepared for service that’s less than desirable.

Driving through downtown Medford, I noted the existence of this place. So I came back a bit later and seeing that menudo was on the menu(just for Sat. and Sun.) I ordered some. It was $ 10 for a large bowl, $ 7 for a small. I ordered the small bowl which was certainly way larger than the«small» size that many restaurants serve soup in. It was above average — the stomachs were well-cooked to a creamy softness. And that meat was pretty much all there was in it — no hominy or animal footbones or vegetables. They brought bowls of chopped onions, oregano and whole dried chiles. And tortillas! The tortillas were wonderful — not so big across but about 3x as thick as the normal tortilla. They made them there — they were so fresh and tasty. The large bowl of menudo would be excessive, but I think I’ll get it anyway, next time I come.

This is my new favorite place for tacos. We’ve been eating here weekly since they opened and have never been disappointed.

I’ve been to Tacos Mi Tierra a handful of times. The first time I went it blew me away. I grew up close enough to Mexico to spend enough time there to know real authentic Mexican food. This place is pretty good. I give 3 stars because I never know when it’s going to be open, in fact, I haven’t seen it open in awhile so it might very well even be closed down. I’ve tried to go here for a late lunch, early dinner, on several occasions during the week and have just given up– as they’re never open. The tacos are good, as are the chicken quesadillas. Stay away from the horchata, it is made from a mix. The menu is small and to the point, the staff is friendly and there is an extra room off to the side so there is usually plenty of seating. Be aware: the parking out front is only 1 hour now.
