Good local place to get breakfast, lunch of have a klatch.
Parking can be a bit of an issue.
Staff are polite and professional.
Food is OK deli (not NYC style).

Read the reviews from others and just had to try it out.
The owners and staff (even John) are extremely friendly, helpful, and simply nice!
Ordered a Greek salad and the Bourbon Chicken for take-​out.
The salad was fresh and crispy with a homemade dressing, Delicious!
The Bourbon Chicken is AMAZING, great balance of flavors with homemade mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach!
This place is well worth eating from, trust me because I travel constantly around the globe.

Wow! What a delightful find! John took our order and was super friendly and helpful. My godmother has crazy food allergies and the chefs were more than accommodating. The food was delicious! Best ranch dressing ever!!!

I just had the Chicken Marsala at a Fooda pop up. This was the worst Chicken Marsala I have ever had. There was zero flavor. The portion was VERy small for $ 841. The sauce was very greasy. I wish I could get a refund. Would not recommend this dish at all!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Drove from Acton to eat here before a show at the Arlington theatre. Only one small table and bar style seating in the Windows. But the FOOD!!! Amazing! Met the owners, the chef, the employees, all so friendly and eager for you to enjoy their cuisine. They said they are primarily a catering company that opened for take out and delivery. But what they are serving is handmade, from scratch, in house yummy to dupe for food!!! They need a real restaurant. We had the bourbon pecan chicken with a glaze out of this world and the homemade ravioli. My husband and I could not decide which dish was the best, and the portions are so large we are eating the leftovers for dinner tonight. You gotta try this place. And if you live in the hood, you are darn LUCKY!!!

Hands down the best take-​out in Medford. The food is delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. This place is a cut above. In addition to amazing food, the staff is a real pleasure.

I got the mustang sandwich tonight and it was incredible! Probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. It’s a meatloaf sandwich with cheddar cheese topped with caramelized onions and their homemade chipotle mayo. It’s soooooo good. I love this place.

The Pilgrim sandwich was ok. The stuffing was like a patty and it was dry. Not something I would get again. The meatloaf dinner was delicious.

Every single sandwich on this menu is PHENOMENAL. Owners are almost always there, which is great too! The house-​made potato chips are to die for. They make visiting a no-​brainer!

Hi, I just want to lend my voice to the good folks at Simple Fare. I have tried several things off their menu including the amazing watermelon gazpacho, chicken parmigiana, short ribs, and just last night their sesame chicken salad. This is not your normal takeout joint. This is real food cooked to order for you. Check their daily specials online and stop by on your way home. You won’t be disappointed.

We used them to cater our Wedding and they did an outstanding job! Leading up to the wedding it was great working with Karyn. She responded quickly to both my phone calls and emails and helped make a stressful wedding a bit less stressful. The day of the wedding, I could not count the number of people who went up for seconds at the buffet, and multiple guests commented about how great the food was. The great thing was that as amazing as Karyn was, her staff was also incredible! Karyn provided us with bartenders and waitstaff who were fantastic. They were so attentive to both of us during the wedding that we definitely did not want for anything!

Absolutely delicious! I have had the Turkey Bacon Cheddar Panini with homemade chips and also the Gnocchi Rustica featuring their homemade sausage. The panini had just the right amount of all 3 ingredients and the turkey has been roasted at the restaurant. The homemade chips are amazing! The Gnocchi dish was extremely delicious and such a treat. I will be a regular customer here!

This place is the best. The homemade chips are so great and crunchy. The Medford is a great edition of the classic chicken parm sandwich, but the chicken is so good. I’m used to chicken cutlets being kept warm over a boiler or something and hours old, but theirs are fresh and delicious.

I walked in and asked for lunch recommendations. The owner was happy to help. Then I asked for a meatball to sample, because I’m Italian and I love meatballs, but no one ever makes them right. I was happily served a sample and the only thing I can say is that wow, if my mom’s Sunday meatballs are a ten, this was a solid nine. I was blown away. This was maybe the best meatball I’ve ever bought.
I was informed that meatball sandwiches come with either fresh fries or fresh potato chips. I made a face for about five seconds at this choice and didn’t even have to suggest a salad substitution — it was happily offered before I even opened my mouth.
Ooh, the salad was beautifully fresh, and dressing was homemade, just like mom’s.
Amazing food, amazing service, standard deli prices. Five stars, no questions.
I would eat here every single day if I worked nearby.

I enjoyed it very much here! My mother and I were first time customers and we both ordered sandwiches (I got the «Engine 2» but I added provolone cheese & prosciutto, and mom got the «West Medford station»). Chicken was crispy and juicy, French baguette was fresh, the prosciutto was perfect & imported. And these homemade potato chips they have… OH MY GOD they were amaaaazing! I plan on bringing a trash bag in and having them fill it up! Lol. The owner (I think he was) who took care of us was attentive, quick, funny, warm and welcoming, and I will be coming back! Oh and they have the coolest food & cooking related antiques on display and I SO love that. It really fits in with the historic Medford charm :). Thanks guys!

The food is great, and the service is very quick. So far I have had the gnocci and the pulled pork sandwich, and both were excellent. I only wish they were open later.

First time dining in and the meatloaf is great! I’ll be back for sure. The chef has been cooking since he was 15. Awesome fare.

I’ve been here three times. Definitely a step up from just a local pizza and sandwich place, though the meatball sub I got here was quality.
Try the bourbon pecan chicken with mashed potatoes. I cleaned the plate. Literally. And I probably could have eaten more of it. It was that good.
If you’re in the area, I recommend it.

First visit. Had a simple house salad with a scoop of chicken salad on top. (Been watching my weight since that two-​seat charge from Southwest) anyway, it was delicious! Nice fresh greens & veggies, and the chicken salad was perfect.
Clean shop. Quick service. And my favorite, locally-​owned. Go!

Delicious turkey avocado (spinach) wrap. Out of this world freshly made potato chips, You will never find a better potato chip. Friendly and relaxed ambiance. Diverse menu. Wish I lived and worked closer so I could visit more often!

I’ve tried simple fare twice now, and so far everything has been great. The food quality is very high and the prices are reasonable, making this the most interesting thing going in West Medford at the moment!

I always hate getting take out as it is always the same options, Chinese food, pizza or regular deli sandwiches! Then there is Simple Fare! They are bringing take out to a whole new level. You have the option of the sandwiches if you want, but you can also get nice made to order high end meals! The eggplant parm is great, not to much breading, served over pasta and enough for 2 meals! I order the daily special for lunch last week, called ahead then went and picked it up and it was ready to go, where else could you get made to order pistachio encrusted salmon served over citrus risotto and served with asparagus as a take out lunch?
They are really bringing take out to a whole new level!

I stopped by today to check it out. It was nicely set up and very clean. I tried the southwestern chicken sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was nice and crispy and it came with amazing home made potato chips. There was so much to choose from. From soups, salads, sandwiches to homemade dinners. I’ll definitely be back!

What is cool about Simple Fare is that it is on the rare plane where subshop/​diner/​restaurant converge. As mentioned, the stuff is fresh and homemade, and this is probably the best thing about it. The menu is very diverse and they seem on top of all that stuff. The take out fridge where they have meals stored is great for a cheap dinner.

This place is amazing! Finally a great place that has amazing food that’s all homemade. The Chef, Marc is awesome! Everything from the Dinners down to the homemade potato chips. U have to check this place out
