I’m not sure how to adequately describe how wonderful the entire Chadwick team is in helping record the big day. Here is this list instead: 1. Flexible aka as bendy as a Mr. Gumby A. My fiancé and I didn’t want the engagement shoot which is part of the terrific value(more on that later). No problem — he was happy to shoot our rehearsal instead, which was amazing considering it was a modern, mixed religion, backyard mendhi. As a result, we had gorgeous and thoughtful pictures of the night when all our extended family and friends came together with an Indian twist. The best part is that the photographer that night was also at the wedding the next day and everyone felt very comfortable letting loose in front of him. 2. Value B. I had a very large wedding so getting the most bang for our buck was essential… Michael Chadwick absolutely provides this. I researched approximately 15 photographers who were all recommended via friends. Michael Chadwick absolutely had the best value. We had both photography and video services and our package was a good 1K less than the closest photographer. It is amazing that there are no shortcuts to that value — everything was perfect and on point. The video is gorgeous and the photos/albums are divine. That includes Michael working with us on the layout of the albums, editing photos, etc. The photographers and videographers themselves are a delight — I had to take them aside and make sure they had taken a break to eat something because it seemed like the entire troop was there for every second. My family and friends in the wedding still speak about how nice, helpful and funny they all were — including zipping the bride into her dress!!! 3. Experience! Diversity! Rainbows! C. Our wedding had two two different ceremonies and two cultures coming together. Michael met with us for over an hour before we ever booked(met us at a local coffee shop in our town) and showed us numerous samples of other work he has done. It not only gave us an idea of what Michael can do but it was also abundantly clear that Michael has shot many different ceremonies in terms of culture and formality. He was fluent in the cultural dialogue of the Asian ceremony, which was so very helpful. I don’t write glowing Unilocal reviews lightly, which I am sure is evidenced by my profile! Please feel free to message me directly regarding any questions — Michael and his crew were truly a pleasure!

Michael Chadwick was the photographer for my daugher’s October 4, 2013 wedding. She loves her photographs! He captured the portraits, but also the candid shots perfectly. He listened to what she wanted and walked around the city to get the shot just right. Not only that, but he is a great guy that your guests will love! I highly recommend Michael. Rose Smith

Mike is an excellent theatrical photographer. He has an excellent eye for theatrical«moments» and captures them beautifully. I think Mike has the added advantage of having been both a singer and director, so he really knows theater inside and out. I have known Mike for many years, and I was very excited to see his photographic talent get the recognition that it deserves. His pictures of me in Dell’Arte’s 2009 Manon blew me away, and ! I look forward to having many more opportunities to work with him!

Michael Chadwick is the real deal. I am a theatre writer who recently had to be in some«promo shots» for a show with my co-writers. Not quite headshots, not quite action shots… these things can be tricky. Michael nailed the shoot and captured some wonderful moments(both posed and unposed) from all four of us. Michael not only has a great eye, but a wonderful dynamic with the subject that really puts them at ease and lets them be themselves. He’s also equally skilled shooting both groups and individuals(invaluable for weddings), and is always open to suggestions. And aside from being fun and comfortable to work with, he gets results. His portfolio is simply great, and he’s very handy with photoshop when appropriate. Hire the man.

I was in a friend’s wedding that they did and the pictures were as you would expect: beautiful — but also caught us in «real life» so the photos communicated an element of personality that kept it from being just a beautiful, but disconnected, shoot. I’ve seen a ton of photogs out there — but few, I think, with the background and experience of the main guy, Mike Chadwick. In talking with him I found he had considerable experience as a designer, actor, opera singer and director. It obviously makes a difference because he brought a keen eye to the camera lens and seems to be quickly becoming a sought-after commodity in NYC for weddings and performing arts peeps.
