I was very impressed with this place! Craving some Indian, I decided to go to Bombay Junction for lunch. They were randomly closed on a Tuesday afternoon, so I figured I would try this place out instead. I am so glad I did. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The service was fantastic, as well. Two of the waiters came over just to say hi to my 2 year old. They were very warm and inviting. Though the buffet didn’t have a huge selection, all of the dishes were of great quality. I actually didn’t have to go digging around in a tray full of sauce, just to find one measly piece of paneer, like I do so often on Indian buffets. There was a good array of both meat(tandoori chicken, chicken curry, and tikka masala) and vegetarian dishes(gobi matar, bharta, daal, paneer, and a couple of others). They also had quite a bit of different chutneys. we especially enjoyed the mango one. Naan was served fresh and hot in a basket that was brought to our table. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. My only complaint was that the food on the buffet wasn’t very spicy, but I know that’s difficult when you’re accommodating different people. I picked up a menu on my way out and will definitely be going back to get some made-to-order food to my preferred spice level. This is one of the best Indian restaurants that I’ve tried in the area, and a vast improvement from the former business in the same location.

I wasn’t blown away by anything in particular but the three of us were all excited to come back again. The manager and staff were very attentive to us. Quantity of available choices was one of the most I’ve seen and $ 9.95 was a great price. Naan was very flavorful. Great buffet overall. Suprised at the lack of reviews here. Very clean and well presented serving line.

A shining beacon of warm, fragrant deliciousness inside of a dull strip mall, Taj Palace shines in all facets of what one would look for in an enjoyable dining experience. Wonderful and quiet ambience with well dressed, attentive and friendly staff. Tony, the manager, made sure we were well taken care of aside from several of his staff all whom were unfailingly attentive, polite and perfectly professional in manner and dress. The food… I am used to southern Indian cuisine which tends to be milder in comparison to spicier Northern Indian cuisine. I prefer both. Taj Mahal is Northern Indian cuisine with Pakistani and Asian influences. Everything from the roti with the trio of chutneys(dates, mint cilantro and the onion) to my fiancé’s vegetable korma to my daal makhani was wonderful. Our particular favorite was the kashmiri naan — warm, soft and fluffy with fruit, nuts and dates baked in PERFECTION. The Indian coffee was also good. We have a usual Indian place in the Lehigh Valley but we would return when in Harrisburg area together again. These people really put in serious effort. Go and enjoy.

Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. Jawad was great. I had the chicken Makhanwala and would definitely recommend it as well as the garlic naan.

Taj Palace has once again outdone themselves in my eyes. The food I ordered was delicious. I ordered Gobi munchurian and their chicken biryani which is by far the best I have tasted in a very long time. I went there for a Ramadan party and the food was again absolutely to die for. It was a very family friendly environment as I once again went with my husband and daughter. The owners daughter is always there with a smile on her face and I don’t think I have seen a child who is only in high school as she told me anywhere. She was also working at the place in the mall since she was about 11 years old I think. Now that is some serious devotion. Anyway I love taj palace it was and always will be my favorite restaurant.

How can I say this… It’s like a party in your mouth, an explosion of tastes. My friend introduced my wife and I to this group when they were at the Harrisburg Mall, since their move to this new location we have been able to enjoy a greater variety of their awesomundo cuisine. It’s a must try if you are in the area. Ask for Tony, say Patrick sent you, he will give you the works. Family gathering, social event, birthday party, this is the spot for great food, great people and a great time.

I wish there is a ZERO or less to give them, I ised to go to this restaurant in there old place in downtown Harrisburg then when they moved to the mall, they always had good food, today in their new location it was horrible, very rude server«literally screaming in my face that I order things in their menu but they r out of it!!!» Did I mention how slow are they? There was 2 other tables plus me(alone) and it take then more than. 20 minutes for coke(and it was flat or they add water to it to make more money) And another 40 minutes to get my food which was«tandoori«it takes 10 minutes maximum if u make it home!!! Very bad place don’t waste ur time and money
