Great hang out spot! The menu is great and beer selection is quite extensive. The great thing about this place is that you can buy beer to take home, if you find something you love. Next time you want something different ask for«The Dalmatian», but ask for them to use«Not Your Father’s Rootbeer» to make a amazing adult milkshake. Give them a try and I’, sure you’ll be happy with your decision.

I’m being generous with three starts. over priced; bread is cheap and gross. pizza is not bad. but dude with so many options why would anyone go here?

I really do like this place. The staff is friendly and the beer selection is usually top notch. Props to Mr. Navid for the beer selection being so good! Two complaints that I think management should handle — first, clean the back of the tvs. There is literally years worth of dust on those tvs and it is disgusting. You have a bar seat behind one of those tvs — just clean the tv. You want to eat under that dusty disgusting tv? Second, what is with the fruit flies? They harbor bacteria and disease and it’s totally unacceptable that they are routinely flying all over the place. I think it is indicative of a dirty place. Whatever the reason they are here, I’m shocked management hasn’t taken the steps to remediate the problem. This is basically an extension of Tysons corner — there are plenty of non-fruit fly infested places to go. This place has tons of potential if management would pay attention to basic things customers care about like cleanliness. Their super friendly staff and great beer mask a lot of this, but not all. Check out the dusty TV from my prior review. And the milkshake stain on the ceiling that’s been there for months. Or the fruit fly below. Gross — clean them please. Also check out the world class beer they offer, such as in the picture below. It’s quite a paradox — great beer, great people, fruit flies, dust and dirt. Not sure what to make of all that.

I went nine more times after the last visit I reviewed. Same order nearly every time. Of those visits, one of them had the same server I had on my last two-star review. You and I can guess how that one visit went. But on all the other visits where I was served by someone who actually enjoyed life(all but one person), the food came out as expected and within a reasonable amount of time. So yeah, I’m a fan. It just depends on whether you get any of the good servers(nearly all of them). I kept this review limited because it’s mostly just to fulfill my promise of an update once I’ve measured how other servers perform.

Since my initial review, I’ve experienced consistently declining quality of food and service here. We stopped ordering takeout after having to wait over two hours for sandwiches that had clearly been made right away and become soggy and gross while waiting for someone to notice them. I went in shortly afterward and received a Phoenix with very badly butchered chicken inside, and gave up on the place altogether.

We order from here(far too often). There’s not much to say other than great sandwiches and pizza. We don’t typically sit down and eat, so I can’t comment on the service. I like that you can customize your own sandwich. My go to is the BBQ chicken which is surprisingly not on the ‘already made’ selections of sandwiches. I kind of make up my own deal. The dog collars are a good to for us. My only wish is that they made them crunchier.

The pizza was very good and the staff was very friendly! I’ve come here a few times and I’ve had nothing but great service. If you’re looking for a variety of beers they have that too!

If I could give zero stars I would. Manager would not let my party be seated with five tables open because a couple of the people in our party were not there yet. We’re talking a regular table size party too. We would have gotten the same size table with who we had there already or with the missing party members. Completely unacceptable.

My sandwich was incredible! I was able to make substitutions to have it exactly how I wanted and it turned out better than I thought. We ordered carry out in the store and even after carrying it in the cold my sandwich and waffle fries were wrapped so well they were still hot when we got home. Everyone was so nice and they support rescuing animals, I could not ask for a better place. I will definitely return and when its warmer I will be able to bring my dog and eat outside!

Ordered delivery online. Process was pretty smooth. Got my ricotta pizza and the cheese had slid to a corner of the box. Restaurant needs to know to make sure delivery guys are careful with this pizza because it slides easily. My boyfriends pizza was fine. Taste is ok considering I had to salvage the mess that was in the box. Edited from three to two stars because it was just such a mess and I felt like crap after eating it. Boyfriend has had it multiple times and says it always has a weird effect on his stomach. Probably not going back. Might as well just get Sbarro or something.

I ordered a salad and pizza to my hotel room and it arrived quicker than I expected. Both were so dang good. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was cooked perfectly(with oh so much cheese). When I’m in town for business again, I’ll definitely order from here again.

Good pizza and fast service. Different variety and a great selection of beer. Pizzas are decent size, fresh ingredients and crush is awesome.

Service is terrible and the food was okay. Large beer selection and they support dogs and cats. That’s about it…

Not their best location, and not just because the four tables outside are only good for people-watching a grocery store parking lot. Service was fine but the food was just okay: waffle fries were better than the onion rings, K-9 featured a very depressing croissant, and the Kujo pizza had a floppy crust. I’ll stick to the Fairfax location!

I stopped by Lost Dog café largely because it was one of the few places that is reasonably near Wolf Trap that takes Eat24. Of course, the animal-friendly concept behind it is always good. For a quick bite, it exceeded my expectations. They offer a variety of pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches, and are quite customizable and friendly to dietary concerns. The grilled cheese sandwich I got was quite nice for the price and let me select some nice toppings without upcharging, and there were quite a few options to build it, including Daiya and gluten-free bread, for those so inclined. Their waffle fries came with ketchup, a condiment that I do not understand. Fries should be good enough to eat without ketchup; if they need ketchup they’re not that good. These fries were, however, good enough to eat alone. Ketchup discarded. The surprise was really their root beer on tap, which is kind of expensive for root beer but also very nuanced and complex in flavor. Definitely a winner there. It looked like a nice place to eat with outdoor seating as well, and reasonably easy to get to by car or Metro. For a generic American restaurant, it was quite good. If I needed something to eat out this way again, I would definitely consider another visit; and there are a couple of other Lost Dogs out there in the Virginia suburbs.

The food is decent and the price is right at Lost Dog. They do have a solid beer selection and allow you to create your own six pack. My girlfriend and I like completely different types of beer so this has saved us both. The menu is rather large and I find myself getting lost sometimes and forgetting what I wanted in the first place. Not a bad spot if you live in the area. They offer delivery so if you’re hungry and want some beer they’re just a phone call away…

Ah, I see… So that’s what the other low star reviewers were talking about. Lost Dog is great for a bite to eat if you order delivery for a small group — One to three people. However, we found out the«fun» way that when it comes to an order for more than that amount that they’re going to screw it all up. We ordered seven sandwiches, one individual pizza, one salad, several side orders to accompany said food, a couple appetizers and a few drinks(such as milkshakes). They screwed up three of the seven sandwiches, putting them on the wrong bread, and in one case not even making the right sandwich, but numbering it as such on the foil. They also failed to deliver one sandwich and the salad, which meant two of us(myself and another employee) had the honor of sitting around watching everyone eat, and finish their food in the twenty to thirty minutes it took them to re-deliver. This is clearly a case of poor quality control by management. It’s also a very clear sign that nobody is inspecting orders prior to bagging them up, and sending them out the door. It takes just a few minutes to fix a problem if you catch it before it leaves your restaurant. It takes upwards of thirty minutes to an hour to correct it after the fact. I guess Lost Dog prefers doing the latter all while ticking off customers that they’ve now lost.

Carbs, carbs, and more carbs galore! Craving some pizza or some hearty sandwiches in the Tysons area? This is your spot. They are relatively inexpensive and you have so many options to choose from. Reading their menu is almost like reading a novella. I kind of wish they broke it down by categories. It would make trying to decide what to get so much easier. They are best known for their pizzas and sandwiches, but they also have salads and pasta if that’s what you fancy. They also have a sizable selection of beer. Can’t go wrong with that combo. The restaurant is deceivingly large. From the front, it just looks like a small little café, but the restaurant actually goes in pretty far. In one of the smaller dining rooms, there’s a pretty odd mural of the Tysons mall but with a dog theme. Overall, it’s not a bad place. The pizza is good, although a bit too oily and salty for my taste. The service was also a little slow, but perhaps it’s because it was lunch time on Christmas eve and they were short staffed.

I often go here when I need a dinner after work when I’ve been working late or need a quick meal between work and some evening activity. They have excellent salads and fantastic selection of sandwiches. They also have pizza but I haven’t had any so far. They have a bar with a reasonable selection of craft beers. They also have a selection of wines and bottled beers for purchase. Items can be consumed on premise or for take out.
