Closes much earlier than their stated hours. The posted hours say 3:30pm, but they are often closed between 2 and 2:30 when they arbitrarily decide it’s too slow to stay open. It’s goofy and bad business.

I work in the building, so I frequent Java Works — as in 3x/week or more. I have been ordering a «scooped» bagel with cream cheese here for several months, maybe once a week. This morning I was informed that they would prefer if I scooped my bagel myself, and then apply the cream cheese — as I was the«only» person that they serve that ever asks for a scooped bagel. Now, I’m not trying to be obnoxious about watching calories/carbs — I just prefer a crispier bagel. Mind you, I was the only person there this morning when I asked, so it wasn’t like the 12 seconds it would take to scoop the bagel by hand would inconvenience anyone behind me. There’s not a lot of joy working in a building that is far from«good eats» so I took a simple pleasure in getting a nice, toasty, crispy bagel a couple mornings a week. Not anymore!

This is a review of the Java Works Kiosk inside Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean. I’ve eaten here three times and every time it’s been stale(bagel, pastry and choclate croissant. I have to worry if they buy day-old products to save money, I bought the $ 3 choco-croissant at 7:30 in the morning, so I find it hard to believe that it went stale that quickly. I haven’t tried their coffee or lunch products so can not comment on them.

This is located in the lobby of an office building and their offering is pretty good. Lots of beverage and food choices. Had a great coffee there also.
