The fro-yo here is pretty good in my opinion — my fave is the strawberry! They have a large variety of self-serve frozen yogurts(strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, plain, coconut, raspberry, and a few more) therefore you can mix and match flavors yourself! Not much selection of toppings though. I usually stick to the candies, but they have fruits too. One thing is that it can get pretty expensive if you don’t watch it! Since you pay by weight, you can easily pay $ 5 or $ 6 for a frozen yogurt without even realizing it.

I get my $ 1.80 fix of chocolate and taro once a week Taro is a little sour. Probably the yogurt Chocolate is very good though :-) As with all of tysons, it’s pricy but not as much as pinkberry :-)

OHYES… OHYES… Screw Pinkberry! This place is been my ORIGINAL Froyo shop for a long time and when I’m in Tyson’s dazed out of my mind shopping I stop by and grab some delicious creamy yogurt, the Taro, the toppings, the flavors I love this spot. Best of all it’s family owned, I always love supporting these types of shops because your not giving your to corrupted monkeys.

Agree with many others — all chains aside(yes, you too, Pinkberry) — love Fruity Yogurt most! and I’ve been to Pinkberry, Milkberry, Bluberi, Sweet Frog, Zinga’s, Kuleyo’s, Yogen Fruz and a couple others(saturated market much?). Nobody who’s had green tea froyo(few do) has had as good as Fruity Yogurt’s. Crave it. Soooo smooth and blends well with multiple types of toppings.

My go to yogurt shop. It is always amazing although they might not have as many topping choices as other stores.

The taro is the best here!!! Not too sweet and can still taste the taro. The mochi is good too. I’ve never tried any other flavor bc taro is so darn good!

I had never given a second thought to this froyo shop all the times I’ve been to Tyson’s, so I was surprised when I read my friend’s tip(Alida H.) that they served the best taro flavored yogurt around. I had to try it for myself. The place is small with only 4 – 5 self-serve options and if you want to sample one of the flavors, the cashier comes around and pours it for you which personally rubbed me the wrong way. When paying for my cup he also paid no mind to any of the customers and was busy flirting and talking to one of his high-pitched annoying girl friends during the transaction. However, I have to admit I was extremely impressed by both the taro and lychee yogurts. Rich, creamy, luscious and well flavored in every spoonful. Minimal toppings but they had what I liked(fruits, mocha, granola). Definitely my new go to yogurt stop at the mall despite the severe service flaw.

This was the first yogurt spot I had in my life that was self-serve and I still love it. I’ve tried Sweet Frog, Pink berry, Tutty Fruity, Bluberry, and Yogen Fruz, but nonf compare to Fruity Yogurt. Here, the yogurt is creamer. I love the TARO and HONEYDEW flavors. They are so delicious. The price is .56 per pound, which is a few more cents than other places, but whatever. So delicious.

Great self-served froyo joint if you are in the Tysons Corner mall! My girlfriend and i frequent this place whenever we are at the mall and craving froyo. I have noticed they have steadily increased their pricing per ounce lately though which i can understand… proportionate with the increased rents. Once we caught the guy sitting behind the register dozing off with drools running down his mouth on a slow afternoon. As usual, we squirted our own froyos and even gotten our own toppings and he was still asleep! Immediately i can see flaw in this situation as others can easily walked out without paying and that is just plain wrong! As an honest and proud citizen, i proceeded to waking up my asian brother who was in deep slumber and notified him i would like to pay for our froyos. Overall, the froyos that day tasted even better than before… maybe because of my good deeds… haha.

This place is so crowded sometimes! But they deserve it. I really like the frozen yogurt here. I come every time I am in this mall. It really is one of my favorite froyo places in the DMV area! There are so many nice flavors, it’s hard to choose which ones without getting too much. My favorite are the lychee and taro flavors! Although there aren’t very many topping choices, I like the fact they have those halo halo jelly cubes(I think thats what they’re called?) and the mochi, of course. Even my mom likes to get the frozen yogurt here and she’s one of those people who are too«shy» to eat in public!

Okay… I’ll just come right out and say it — I like Fruity Yogurt and think it’s much better than Pinkberry! I had some time to kill as I was early for my hair appointment. Plus, I needed to break a 20 so that I could tip everyone. So, I figured it was about time to try this place. When I went, it wasn’t very busy. I was able to check out all the flavors — and there are some interesting ones like taro, lychee and mango. I chose — vanilla(I know! How boring!) since I thought it would be a good flavor to stick with for the first try. Since it’s sold by the ounce, it’s hard to judge just how much it will cost. All the available cups are the same size which I’m sure is done on purpose to encourage you to fill them to the brim LOL! I chose to put a small amount in my cup and for toppings, put in a few M&Ms and some rainbow sprinkles. When I put my cup on the scale and it got rung up, I was surprised that it only cost $ 1.79! I sat on a nearby bench to eat it and was soon joined by 2 other women who had cups of yogurt. They were more creative, adding several flavors to their cups, and both raved about the mango and taro flavors.(Note to self — must branch out and try other flavors next time). Yet, I really liked the vanilla. It was creamy and had a good, strong vanilla flavor that left a pleasant after taste. Pinkberry’s frozen yogurt, on the other hand, has a thinner and less creamy consistency plus the flavoring isn’t that strong. Speaking of Pinkberry — they are opening one in Tysons Corner. When I walked by it, it looked like the opening will be happening soon. As far as I can tell, it will be the third frozen yogurt place in Tysons, in addition to Fruity Yogurt and Yogen Fruz. I’ve only sampled Yogen Fruz — it’s tart yogurt. Of the 3, when I want frozen yogurt when I’m in Tysons, I’ll go to Fruity Yogurt!

One of the best fro-yo’s in the NOVA area. We frequent this location a lot because they have the hard to find taro flavor that my boyfriend is obsessed over.(Why do ppl not know what taro is?!) and we live in DC– traveling far and wide just for Taro. My one question is, what will it take for Fruity Yogurt to adopt Cap’n Crunch as a topping. Its a no brainer, every fro-yo should have cap’n crunch– necessity! We mention it every time to whoever young cashier is working and they always giggle and say«yeah everyone always asks that…» Yea, doesn’t make sense. Cap’n Crunch, its 2012 now, that should be your news resolution Fruity Yogurt!

I wish there were more places like this in the DC Metro area. They’re plenty of them all over LA. I love the fact that you can build your own froyo. They have different flavors for you to choose from and you can mix and match. I always get the Mango and I get extremely excited when they have the Lychee flavor which is my absolute favoritest fruit/flavor! And who doesn’t like to control their toppings? I have to say that toppings are probably my favorite thing ever! I’m definitely not skimpy on the toppings. I can’t say that this place has the best frozen yogurt but it is one of the best I’ve had in the area. It’s a definite needed pit stop when going to Tyson’s Corner Mall. =)

Yayyy for Fro-Yo! After my first love Yogi Berrys in College Park(I MISS the place!), I have finally found solace here at Fruitys. Its fun, its healthy and its YUMMY! Right next to Auntie Anne’s at Tyson’s corner(2nd floor, right above the food court), it is a regular hang out for me now! :) My fav is strawberry with loads of jelly and nuts etc! :) Love this place!

These self-serve frozen yogurt places are popping up like crazy. I’m glad to see one of these in the mall. Yogi-berry is the first self-serve froyo I’ve had in the DC area, and I’m completely a fan of their Taro, so naturally it’s the first thing I tried here. Taro is a great flavor, as everyone else here has mentioned, but it wasn’t as good as I was expecting. The thing that this place is missing is wider variety of dry toppings. I know I know… it’s a FRUITY Yogurt, so it makes sense that you have a lot of fruit toppings, but the dry toppings are more important to me. Great addition to the mall though.

Um, don’t see how this place has so many 5 star reviews… First off the place doesn’t offer much in terms of frozen yogurt. Granted, its a small place to begin with, but because of that, theres also not much toppings to choose from. I think, not 100% sure though, that they charge a bit more than compared to Yogiberry in Shirlington. I’ve always paid a bit more here but I could be wrong. Although I have to say though, I do really like they make Thai Ice Tea smoothies. I believe its the powdered thai tea mix, but its addicting like crack. I have to disagree with everyone that this is the«best» fro-yo in Northern VA. Go to Yogiberry instead if you want to make the trip to Shirlington. Its worth it.

By far the best frozen yogurt in the area! What makes this place unique is. imagine multiple 7-eleven slurpee machines. except filled with various flavors of frozen yogurt. Then imagine the 7-eleven big bite hot dog toppings section. now fill all those hot dog toppings with frozen yogurt toppings. That’s what you have here. Basically a make your own frozen yogurt that is measured by the oz. It’s fairly priced too! My girlfriend and I have been here 2 or 3 times. it is family owned and a young guy has helped us both times. very friendly and nice. place is really clean. We mixed like 3 flavors(taro, mango, strawberry) frozen yogurt and topped them with fruit and LOTS of mochi(you can put on as much as you want!!!). Then weighed it. not bad prices. Only downfall is no where to sit inside. but there are benches outside of the shop that are next to the DipNDots stand.

My new favorite frozen yogurt spot at the mall. Self serve is the only way to go for fro-yo. Mix as many flavors and add as many toppings as your heart desires. I’m done with paying $ 5 plus for a cup of plain fro-yo with a spoonful each of 2 or 3 toppings. So over it! **************************************************************************** Flavors: Taro, Mango, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Plain, Strawberry and Peach. Toppings: Mochi, Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple, Kiwi, Coconut, Sprinkles, Nuts, Cereal, etc… Location within mall: 2nd level next to Auntie Anne’s across from Banana Republic.
