The place looks bad from the parking lot to the front desk. Everyone besides the waiters are on their phones all the time. The food is regular kind of food you’d find in a Chinese buffet but the bad lighting coupled with the not so hygienic looking dining area, sort of takes away from the experience. It’s OK food for the value and variety. I guess you do get what you pay for. But if they considered hiring a contractor to give them a better and defiantly needed change to their dining area and outside appearance, they might actually get away with charging 8 dollars for lunch. Oh and possibly front desk associates with better customer service. STOPSNAPCHATTINGANDPAYMOREATTENTIONTOYOURSURROUNDINGSMAYBEYOU’D NOTICETHECONDITIONYOURRESTAURANTISIN. But like I said, you get what you pay for.

The food is, like I said, in my other North Texas Chinese buffet reviews, appears to be the same everywhere. The food at all these buffets looks the same, and tastes the same, It is like they pull it from a package, heat it, and serve it! I have wondered if there is a Chinese Buffet Food Factory in one of the business parks around here that is making the same dishes for all these establishments. They make it, package it, send it out, and serve it. My only real problem I have had, other than the above mentioned, at Panda(several years before I Unilocaled) was that their Chicken w/white sauce dish had hair in it. NOT one piece, it was 40 or 50 pieces of neatly trimmed hair. Black, straight, and all the same 1 inch length. Someone definitely was cutting hair and it got into the dish. Only thing I could figure was that someone, maybe at earlier said factory, was giving hair cuts. I only saw this once.

Food tastes watery, the people are sweet and that is the only reason it’s receiving a 2 star review the tables aren’t cleaned well and the plates are kind of dirty. I don’t recommend it but if you’re desperate for a Chinese buffet then knock yourself out! Happy buffet hunting!

OK so I went here once like 6 years ago and again recently. In the past it was amazing, I once considered this place one of the best Asian buffets I’ve ever been too. Now, not so much… I’m not sure what’s up but they need to get back to their roots.

Well, you have a choice between the Golden Corral, The Grand Buffet, and Panda’s Super Buffet. That choice is on the eastern service road of Hwy #75 going north from Ben White. Because they are buffets, it is a battle of the heavy weights and who can eat the most. If you like to eat a lot, you have that selection within a one mile distance going north. I have ate on two or three occasions. Imagine yourself in the parking lot. It is a hot day and you get out the door and you smell the food outdoors. In this instance, we did not need to go inside and turned around and went back to the car. We are not going back here.(period)

Normally this is my go to spot for quick Chinese food. Wide selection of food and friendly staff. My most recent visit the food was not very good. Seemed over cooked and left out too long. Going to give this place a break for awhile.

I used to be a fan of grand buffet but this place is way better. Went when it was slow but the food was still full and fresh. Waitress super friendly. Will be back!

This is one of two Chinese buffets close to where I live and this is the one I prefer. The food is pretty uniformly good, the restaurant clean and the wait staff is really nice.

Yuck. Eaten here twice, the second time against my will. Both times were horrific. Is that chicken or human? If you have to spit it out to avoid uncontrolled vomitting, the food ain’t good.

Arrived 5 minutes before the end of the lunch pricing and they wanted to charge me for the dinner price anyway. After several minutes of back and forth and my pointing out the exact time and the hours on their own front door — they agreed to let me in at the lunch price but said that I couldn’t eat any of the food on the buffet that was for the dinner price. Talk about tacky — not to mention the«lunch» food had been sitting out for at least an hour! I was a regular, but this restaurant lost cool points with me. Grand Buffet is my choice from now on. It’s much better and has a Mongolian Grill and Sushi Bar.

I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times. When I first moved to Plano from McKinney, before I discovered a big, decent Chinese buffet, I’d drive the 20 minutes to get to this place in McKinney just because it was worth the trip. Friendly service, cute waitresses, great food! And they filter their soft drink water!!! That’s VERY important in McKinney! This was the first restaurant I populated after I had moved to McKinney where I couldn’t taste the lake water in their fountain drinks. I made a point of mentioning that as I checked out, because they should be applauded for doing nice little things like that that really make a difference. I can’t recommend anything in particular, because I always load up my plate with a bit of everything. It’s all great! I’ll just leave it at that. This is the kind of place that some people will bash and give one star based on a single silly experience, and some will give it five. I base my assessment on whether I’m willing to keep going back or not. It’s an attractive place inside, and if you are exiting the building at sunset, you are always treated to a beautiful westward view across 75, as there are no really tall buildings on the other side.

Went there pretty recently on one of the weekdays. I think it is a pretty good place for very americanized chinese food. Quite a large variety for the price you pay. However, for me who eat authentic chinese food, I don’t think I will visit this place the second time. Cooked food are not that fresh — it might be because it was on the weekday. Szechuan pork is sweet? This is definitely not a place for me then. Quite a huge variety of fried food, fruits, and dessert. Other than that, waitresses are efficient. And you pay after the meal.

I’ve been going here for years and love it. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that recently they have stopped serving the sauté potatoes and the green beans… my 2 favorites. Try the place out anyways though. Fri and Sat nights have all you can eat crab legs!
