Minerva Bakery

Minerva is a well known bakery in McKeesport. Love their cakes! They have the best icing. They also offer Danishes, donuts, cookies, pies, breads, coffee cakes and my favorite. «Maple rolls». These are soooooo good. Nothing fake about the taste of any of their baked goods. Almond torte is huge but it is delicious. Go check it out! You will never want to go anywhere else for bakery items.

We got our wedding cake here back in 2008, and it was AMAZING. The woman that worked with us on design, size, flavor, etc. was extremely helpful and patient. The cake came out beautifully, and was delicious! Since then, nothing I’ve tasted holds a candle to Minerva’s.

This place is SUCH a GEM!!! You can taste the love in every item that they make.
3 generations of my family have gotten our wedding cakes from here, and I really hope they’re around for my future children to order from.
Their icing is next level and perfect. Their donuts are perfect. Everything is perfect pretty much. You won’t be disappointed.

The cake was delicious! This bakery is one of oldest and best bakeries in the area. Service was great and prices were even better. Freshly made, just ready to be eaten!:)

Great baked goods and a nice staff. Staff seems to be bumping into each other and lines quickly form. Would also be nice if they allowed customers to order anything they want during the holidays to alleviate the wait.

Absolutely the best bakery I’ve been in ever! The cookies are delicious. The nut rolls. & coffee cakes are heaven. Put on your bucket list to eat an almond torte. It is extremely memorable. I will dream about Minerva’s delicacies until I return to visit the Burgh again. Btw — the staff is the best.

Came here from PGH for the first time. This bakery is legit. I bought some Rye bread and Italian 5 grain. Delicious. A strange snickerdoodle thing with pink frosting. Delicious. Chocolate chip cookie dipped in chocolate, extra chewy and humongous. Delicious.
And a sweet old lady serving em up.

Thanks to Darren’s sis Jessica, we had some excellent cookies for our housewarming party. I liked ths sugar cookies with the jimmies best and the half-​dipped chocolate chips, but they were all good. It’s too bad about the area in which it is though.

Named after a goddess yet stuck in a depressed and unsafe area, Minerva Bakery offers some of the most blissfully chewy, full-​bodied, and definitively scrumptious cookies ever to be pulled from an oven. My sister brought over several dozen of them for the housewarming party Kay and I threw over the weekend, and they were such a sensation, neighbors were storming our new home like the zombies in the penultimate scene from «Night of the Living Dead» (the son of the director is an old schoolmate of mine from way, way back and was in attendance, no foolin’).
Chocolate Chip and Dipped Chocolate Chip dominated the roster, but also on deck were an assortment of sugar cookies with multi-​colored sprinkles and thumbprint cookies. The Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies are half-​coated in melted chocolate, much like those made by Bethel Bakery, and were the dark horse performer of the evening’s festivities.
Fortunately, our guests didn’t completely decimate the cookies, so they’ve continued to serve as snacks and dessert for the past several days.
Thanks be to my sweet, brave, and embattled sister for coming through with the treats. Unfortunately, she lives in the area. Hopefully, Minerva’s light of confectionery goodness can revitalize the community she lives in.

Great food, service and prices. It’s in a not so great part of town, but lock your doors and it’s definitely worth it. Best baked goods in the area! Try the almond torte!
