Terrible customer service. The girls that check in are very rude and not friendly. Felt like this was ran by a bunch of children. Very disorganized. Overpriced. We will go back to Bills Marina next visit.

So I definitely recommend boating/tubing on Deep Creek Lake just maybe not from this marina. We did our paperwork and video the day before so all we had to do was check in. You would think that being they do this every day all season long that this would be a well oiled machine. We got there at 9:15am. 3 people in front of us, 2 lines, 3 people working the front desk. Super pleasant and informative employees but it was still at least a half hour before we got to the area to get our boat. Once we got to the dock there were maybe 3 more people working to get people to their boats, go over stuff etc and so on. It was at least another 20 minutes before we got to our actual boat. The older gentleman seemed frazzled — maybe some call offs? But def need more people working. He started to go over the boat with us and then left to get our tube. Never came back to finish going over the boat. Another gentleman brought our tube over and tied it to the boat. We asked him a few questions but he didn’t know the answer so he kept asking another guy who was trying to help other people. Nobody told us until the very end that you can only buy gas at the Marina but it’s about 2 minutes before you get back to the marina — not the gas station which appears at the marina — that’s Bill’s something or other. That was kind of confusing. The young man who went over our boat at the end was pleasant and nice and seemed like the only person we talked to that knew what he was doing. Will definitely boat again but may check out some of the other rental places in the area. We rented a speed boat that was very touchy and next time we’ll go with the pontoon. There was 4 of us and I think we would’ve been more comfortable on a pontoon rather than the speedboat. It was a fun day! Pros: beautiful scenery and a perfect day Cons: $ 400/day for boat was a bit steep but I’m guessing that’s the going rate. Pleasant employees but maybe need a few more. They all seemed stressed out. Boat was definitely older but nice.

We were able to reserve a pontoon boat several days in advanced, which was a bonus considering other boat rental companies in the area operate on a first-come-first-served basis(which makes it nearly impossible to rent a boat). While a bit more pricier than the other place we were considering, we found their customer service to be fast and efficient and everything was clearly communicated to us. Regarding the reviewer who stated they weren’t aware of additional charges for any damages, they must have missed the giant board posted on the wall near the registers that runs down the list of possible damages and the costs associated with them. We were more than aware of this when entering a contract with them. My only problem with Deep Creek Marina is they seemed to be a bit more pricier than other places, but they accepted actual reservations and that was a bonus for me.

Fraudulent business practices! These people FLATOUTLIEDTOUS. We rented a jet ski, were told that it was $ 250 as a security deposit for any damages. Unfortunately, we had a small amount of damage but found out the hard way that the security deposit was not the total liability for damages. We have now been charged a $ 1,000 and had to deal with an difficult individual who flat out didn’t care and didn’t try to help or share any costs. I’m assuming that he will end up with twice the money after he submits this to his insurance as well. Zero sharing of costs or ownership of the vehicle itself by the owner. They also said that they wouldn’t be charging the security deposit since they charged the $ 1000 «damages» fee. That was a lie. They processed $ 1250 all at once — so they obviously are running a scam. Any«training» that was given prior to riding was flat out a joke(we were even told to «cheat» on the exam). Someone should probably check up on that practice & revoke their license. Bottom line — don’t go to Deep Creek Marina. Contracts don’t mean anything to them.

Absolutely horrific experience. Worst costomer service I’ve ever experienced. I can’t believe this place is still in buisness. Save yourself the trouble and drive to the next marina down.

Awful experience! We rented a pontoon boat from them for the day. We reserved the day before but it took them almost 2 hours to slowly process the paperwork, get the boat ready and get us on it. They charge a $ 500 deposit on top of their already over priced boats. The boat was dirty, beat up, torn seats, low on gas when we got in it. The manager was one of the rudest, antagonistic morons I’ve ever talked to. We rented the day before at Bills Marina and had a MUCH better experience for less money. Save yourself the money and frustration and don’t rent from this awful company.
