I usually enjoy good advertising especially when there is an element of humor to it. Carl’s Jr. usually has some funny and whimsical commercials. So with that in mind, I decided to stop in and try a burger. I came in mid-afternoon and went with a basic cheeseburger and onion rings. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was your typical fast food. Taste: onion rings were ok, but I felt the burger was average. Maybe, my expectations are too high since I’ve had the privilege of trying a Bobby Flay burger.

Had the low carb burger which was incredibly tasty and my companion had the«best» turkey burger. Restaurant was clean and food was delivered quick and accurate. They came back around and cleared the tray and asked if we needed refills. Great to see good service. It was not real busy at 6PM.

McAllen’s second attempt @ having a Carl’s Jr. I missed this spot from my days in Los Angeles. I always get the Western Bacon Cheeseburger w/Grilled Chicken instead of beef. I had it here, and it was just fine. I went again this past week, and I had the Portabello Mushroom Six Dollar Burger, OMFG… Soooo Good! My friend had the Guacamole Turkey Burger, and she said it was really tasty. I just wish that this location had a Green Burrito inside of it too…
