Lovely facility the cave tour is good cheesy family fun. the park was full of campers and the kids all seemed to be having a good time. Clean, quiet, well maintained. No complaints.

This is a rather strange artifact. It’s a tourist trap miles away from the closest interstate with nothing to draw people except, perhaps, the summer shacks on the Mississippi between Harpers Ferry and New Albin. It’s a goofy excursion, but endearing. I haven’t camped here so I can’t say what the RV park is like, but I have taken the cave tour. The titular cave is flooded, at least in part by man-made contrivance, and you tour it by taking a little dinghy with tiny outboard motor up into its bowels. Your guide is a local kid working there for the summer. Compared to a cave tour given by some organization like the National Park Service, this isn’t much. There’s some discussion of the processes that make caves and the mineral decorations within, but it’s mainly just show-and-tell stuff, with a few touristy things thrown in(a back-lit painting of Jesus makes an appearance, for instance). Anyway it’s a fun diversion if you’re in the area.
