They sent me home with a quarter pound of pickles in the burger it was wet and soggy:’(whyyyy?! I had to throw it away. I love pickles but not like that I took them out its like they sabotaged my burger:’(I use to love this place 3rd time in a week my food is a mess:(

This has been my burger place since I was in junior high! If you ever want a good cheat day, then this is it! My favorite is the chili cheese fries and a patty melt! Above the food is also the great service, and my all time favorite person Jimmy! This place would never be the same without him! I came once though the drive through and ordered but while waiting for my food, my infant twins began to cry so I pulled out of the drive way and parked up front, Jimmy walks out with my order and holds my food while I took a minute to calm them down! I won’t ever forget the kindness that he had shown in more than one occasion! This is my all time favorite burger joint!

Based on all the reviews, I decided to stop in and check this place out. I noticed most of the reviews were for the burgers but, I was craving breakfast. Hindsight, I probably should have ordered a burger. The breakfast was a huge disappointment. The scrambled eggs were juicy, the pancakes had a rubbery consistency and actually tasted like rubber? If you’re craving a decent breakfast, go to Jim’s down the street.

You can’t go wrong with either the grilled chicken sandwich or chili cheese fries if you are looking for comfort food in Maywood.

Chris, the owner, is the sweetest. My boyfriend and I always get the chicken dinner and share because it is so much food. I personally love the fries and I don’t know how people can compare it to McDonald’s. Corn dogs are good. This place is the best!

Chris’s use to be a good restaurant. Now there customer service is horrible. Mainly the girls on day shift. You asked them for something and they always give you attitude. Don’t get me wrong but Chris’s use to be the spot to go grab a bite but now it’s all going down hill. And let’s not forget about the prices. Seems like every time I come now prices just keep going up.

Great quality hamburger. Moist and juicy and served hot off the grill. I meant the steam still came out from the meat when I ate them, unlike other half cold meats served at other fast food chain. I love the taste of a freshly meat, home-style burger. This place’s price point is great. So much value for your money. The restaurant is clean and foods are delicious. If you are in the neighborhood, go there.

I gave this place three stars why the food is good not bomb how everybody says its ok. And the reason why i didnt give this place five stars is the service drive through always effs up my order and my change im always having to come back in and ask for my correct money or order sorry just being honest.

This place used to be so awesome! Cheap prices and good food. I literally would come here all the time. Their quesadilla is huge! Their chicken salad is great and you can share it with like 2 other people. However! After my last experience, I will never go back. Their food is nothing like it used to be. And their prices went way up. But I decided to grab some breakfast items cause those usually are decent and cheap. I get it, Sometimes you have to raise prices. My issue is your food isn’t as good as the prices you’re asking anymore and also, change the menu so people know theres a price change! So anyway when I order some breakfast items I get to the window and rather than paying 20 something dollars, it’s $ 35. Yeah. that’s not right. I get these items fairly often. So I know. I inform them it’s wrong. the old man says they are this amount. I told him no they are this amount, the menu says they are priced at that. And he was extremely rude! And said that’s what they are now prices went up! I told him um okay well you might want to change the menu so people know. He said well we haven’t changed it. Again, I GETIT. But you might want to or you’re gonna lose business. And he gets frustrated with me and feels like he’s getting attacked. His final words? «That’s the new price take it or leave it» I left it. and will never be returning. Shame on that old man for treating customers like that.

First time here and for me it was just ok. Been to better places. The chili cheeses fries are just ok, nothing to crave again and the cheese burger we got seem to be more bun than patty. Most likely will not be coming back here.

It’s unfortunate to say, but I’m going to… Chris’s isn’t good anymore. The only reason why we keep coming back is because it’s the burger joint we grew up on, so it’s sort of a comfort food. But prices are extremely high for the quality of food we get and the flavor isn’t always that great:(that doesn’t mean we will stop going for a quick burger fix, but when you start exploring real burgers and different areas you realize that what you grew up with or what you’re used to isn’t always good.

My first time here and I ordered the super nachos. They filled up the entire plate. This was easily a $ 12 plate but was less then $ 7

Having to say this saddens me, but Chris’s just isn’t the same as it used to be. 5 yrs ago I would praise Chris’s as the best! Definitely beyond 5 stars, But after 20+ years of my patronage Their quality has diminished greatly. Yes their chilli is the best, their burgers are pretty bombs, the thousand island to die for, but there’s other changes occurring that have really affected this restaurant. Just a few examples; The pastrami just isn’t great anymore, the fries have a weird smell to them(maybe a change in oils caused this) and the original rolled taquitos are gone and replaced with flavorless taquitos and old looking guacamole! You can’t hike up your prices and cut down on quality! I really hope the owner or his kids read this and start making changes because from my resent visits they just seem to not care about their customers and restaurant… I want my Chris’s back!

This is the place to eat chili cheese fries. I’m warning you, when you first take a look at them you’ll think ‘heart attack waiting to happen’ but that is why it’s crucial you don’t have them every day but once in a while won’t kill you. I think the serving is enough for two people I would never try to devour them by myself because it just wouldn’t happen. Their hamburgers I’ve tried once or twice and they were also pretty good! Ive been going to Chris’ for a long time now and they always greet me with a smile! Very professional, and welcoming establishment!

*Lawsuit waiting to happen* I ordered a simple cheeseburger with NOONIONS! I told the girl at the register PLEASENOONIONSBECAUSE I’M ALLERGIC! And even told her I’ve come twice before and always get onions. I decided maybe 3rd times the charm. I got back to work and sure enough the first thing I bite into? Chopped up onions. Not even one small piece of onion. It’s like they took it upon themselves to make sure I had an allergic reaction!!! Also… a diabetic friend ordered DIET coke… seriously what is so hard about getting DIET wrong? Well let’s just say her body didn’t agree very well with regular sugar filled soda in her system. Now I’ve had three lunches go to waste. Definitely not coming back

Mc. Donalds better than this place? Really? I don’t know about that one. Personally, I dislike Mc. Donalds’ food. It’s stale and nasty. Anyway, this is not a Mc. Donalds review, but I figured I would put that out there since I did see that this place was/is being compared to Mc. D’s. Lol. This place is good… yes, it’s a bit expensive from what I use to pay back in the day but everything has increase in prices. Have you seen the price of gas? cheeses! Anyhow, I love their cheeseburger special(no onion please). Their fries are nice and crispy(and I do love me some crispy french fries). They also have the grilled chicken salad, BOMB! It’s a little over $ 6.00 but totally worth it. That’s literally lunch and dinner of how big the plate is. One thing to keep in mind, I believe they charge $ 1.00 extra for using debit or credit card, and drive-thru can take a bit so be prepare to wait.

I’ve been coming here for years. The bf had the hamburger special earlier(around $ 6) and he loves it just as much as I do. I have only eaten the hamburger special, cheeseburger special, fried chicken sandwich(around $ 7), the chicken dinner & shrimp fajitas. The two I will not try again are the chicken dinner(due to the chickens dryness) & the shrimp fajitas(flavorless). The thousand island dessing they make is worth buying(around 75 cents) to eat with the fries! The service is alright. Sometimes its slow(30min) & sometimes its fast(less than 10min). I recommend it!
