Angelo’s has awesome pizza, apps, and dinners. Worth the drive is you are not local to the area. They have been there for years and never disappoint.

Always order from Angelos. When new to the area, we tried multiple places and they simply have the best tasting food. Pizza is great, meatballs are A-maze-ing. You won’t be disappointed!

Had their plain and pepperoni pies quite a bit from this place. The pies have a nice flavor and lunch special small pies are around six bucks which is a good price. Not anything super fancy, it just your run of the mill pizza place pumping out a decent traditional pie. Pies are always consistently good every time. All I’ve had was the pizza and have not tried any other items off the menu. If and when I decide to try a few more items I will updated this review. Until next slice keep it real!

I have to say my review here is a tad biased, only because I’ve been eating here since I was in the womb. Angelo’s has been my family’s go to spot for –decades– and I have to say for a while I did not order from here because they didn’t take credit cards until recently, they still need to get on the ammex bandwagon tho. C’mon guys, its 2015. Like I said, I’ve been eating here my entire life. The only slice I will even think of in the same light… is pizza town… but they dont have full meals there, just pizza. I’ll admit, The pie hasn’t been the same since Rosario left– again, eating here forever — and going in in person without him there isn’t the same– as said in other reviews, sometimes perfect and crispy, sometimes a little thicker-sometimes its more well done(which I personally like) but, its still Angelo’s, and the food is what it is, and will always be the family spot… Mario’s just isn’t the same… and Angelo’s is a Maywood institution. Every year(or at least they did for a while, having left maywood I don’t know if they still do this) they have a special sale where there is a crazy crowd as they sell pies at the same price as the year they opened, which was WAY b4 my time, but still a good oppurtunity to order a few pies if they r spot on and freeze some for when I want comfort food, but don’t wanna go out or it’s really late. Over the years of course I’ve had a lot of things from here, some I like, some I dont… but the Pizza has usually been solid, The lunch specials have always worked for me(even if you can’t get them delivery). I really like the cheese steak here. It’s always packed and oversized… and what sets it apart… I try to avoid wheat(rolls), it really doesn’t agree w my stomach usually, esp w fried meat… but here? none of that. That roll is going down and my stomach can deal. On top of that… Angelo’s has the only pizzeria lasagna that I’ve ever liked. Having a man that is lactose intolerant, this isn’t a food I get to eat often… but if I have the opportunity, I’m ordering it here. I also really like their chicken parm, but again, I’ve been eating it since I ate through an umbilical chord. For a local, townie favorite on one of Bergen County’s quainter main streets(seriously, check out seafood gourmet too!), it wins out. They are always friendly when I call, they get here(The other side of Hackensack) in a reasonable time, and its always still hot… and if going to my family’s house… if I gotta bring food, I know what I’m bringin that everyone will be happy with. I def recommend it to people, but remind them, its a local pickup spot– They have a dining room, it’s not big, its def not fancy– but def does the job. The staff has always been friendly.

Excellent pizza, wings are spot on always very crispy. Nice people there, used to go to Mario’s up the block, never again. Angelo’s is so much better — I will be giving all my local Italian business to them. Also will be ordering from them for my Super Bowl party.

Go for lunch. Where the hell in north Jersey are you gonna get a delicious full size, heavy count sandwich(meatball, sausage/peps, Italian, grilled chicken, cheesesteak) on real bread or a generous sized personal pizza WITH a beverage for under $ 6? Nowhere, that’s where. Honestly, best bang for your buck lunch option in all of Bergen county.

My local go to pizza spot. The pie is always good but not life changing. The garlic knots can be good but are inconsistent. The sleeper is the Garlic bread with cheese always really good! Don’t bother with the wings they are awful. Totally not made there just thrown in a fryer with some bottle of wing sauce if even that. Usually don’t have any wing sauce on them. The delivery is always great and everyone is always friendly

After several attemps and initially liking this place, They are just too inconsistent with their pizza. One time it is delicious, perfect and crispy, the next time it’s undercooked, oily and pounds of sauce. They swear it’s the same cook everytime… but there’s no way if they are that inconsistent… I can’t deal with wondering whether or not I’ll get a good pie, and another one bites the dust…

Ordered a sandwich and told the girl what I wanted maybe three times and she even read it back to me. Got the sandwich came home and it wasn’t what I ordered. I called back and I had to tell the girl three times why I was calling. they still had the ticket order and had the right thing written down but still gave me the wrong thing. Said they would bring it over right away. I live right down the street and it’s been 30+ minutes and still haven’t gotten my order

We are usually Mario’s customers and we are happy with the food. The last few times the wait was really long for delivery so I thought I would try Angelo’s. We ordered a sicilian pie and it was horrible. The bread was thin and over cooked. The crust was completely burnt. That pizza should have never sent out.

Their extra thin crust is awesome and the customer service is amazing. I actually enjoy ordering on the phone. Usually now a days when ordering food the person on the other end treats you like they are doing you a favor. Bravo Angelos for your food, fast delivery and awesome staff.

I ordered from here for lunch yesterday, the 6-in-1 sub, which is basically the equivalent to Subway’s Italian Sub. When I first unwrapped the sub I was really unhappy. The entire thins was coated in oil. It looked like my sandwich was wet. The top of the bun should have nothing on it. Instead, covered in oil. The edges of the roll were also soggy. I blotted the sandwich(isn’t that only for pizza?) and ate it but was irritated by the excess. As for flavor, it was what you’d expect from lettuce, provolone, ham and salami.

In a word«delicious». Delicious sauce on a thin crust. The lunchroom was packed but I chose to stand up while I read the thank you notes and customers handwritten comments on Angelo’scatering. The gal who got me my pizza knew every single person walking in and greeted them by name and had such a nice warm down to earth approach it was clear why the customers love this place.

Always a favorite, been eating here since high school, fantastic Sicilian pizza and the lunch specials are a great deal, CLT or 6 – 1 are always good! The dough is really good for brining home & making your own pie too!

Finally, a great slice of pizza that doesn’t skimp on the good stuff! Just ordered a couple of slices, and fettuccine with white clam sauce and black olives… It was fantastic. Everyone goes on about Rays, but Angelo’s put them to shame considering I ordered late on a Sunday and it was still absolutely delicious. Oh the staff was very courteous and friendly. The portions are huge and ill have pasta for at least two more meals and the slices are a decent size and like I said before, they use great ingredients and don’t cut corners with skim or low fat cheeses. Reading the menu, my mouth is watering even though i’m full. I cant wait until I can try more of their menu. Angelo’s has won itself a new fan.

I’ve been coming here my whole life, my uncle worked here, various family friends, and cousins. They spruced things up a bit in the last 5 years. I go for the slices or the linguini with white clam sauce. The slices are always fresh, crisp crust, light sauce, a good amount of cheese. They have various lunch specials and the service is usually good.
