Whoever owns this place has no pride of ownership — or apparently any understanding of basic liability laws. With my clothes dryer waiting for repair and towels running low, I decided to wash at home and use this place to dry my towels. The front glass doors of this place are shattered. There is old, frayed, peeling duct tape in some places on the door which clearly point out this glass has been broken for some time. The place was filled with moms and young children waiting for their clothing to dry. Based on the fact these customers had carry totes with their laundry supplies, my sense is they use this laundromat regularly. I asked them if the door has been like this for awhile, and they said yes. I’ve noticed during my walks through town and other occassions I’ve had to use a dryer there many of the customers aren’t fluent in English, and as such, perhaps are not aware there are state and city laws and ordinances which require the owner of thsi business to provide a safe and liability-free environment for his/her customers. While I was there long enough to load my towels in a machine, I counted 14 times a child under the age of about 10, pushed on the broken glass to get into the building. The door in is a «push door», and this is the shattered glass-door. Inside, you will find an enviroment that has seen no upgrades; has no amenities; and clearl does not show pride of ownership. I can’t speak for the«dry cleaner» side as this was locked(closed for the day). Tomorrow I will try to reach an owner about the front door — after I call town hall to report this issue. People of Maynard, you have the right to safe businesses for you and your children. Speak up. Make phone calls. Leave a message for a selectman. Call the local police non-emergency line if you see a child in danger because of some deliberate ignorance on a business or homeowners part because they don’t want to spend the money or take the time to properly replace broken glass or secure a piece of heavy equipment or whatever it may be. Shame on this business owner(s). This isn’t your Grandparent’s Maynard anymore. Step up or Step Out.

First off I work here as of writing this. This place is very old & although there have been 3 owners in the past 12 or so years with the newest only 1 year ago there have been very little in the way of upgrades mechanically or cosmetically. There is a full-service facility here which also cleans clothes for a number of other stores owned by the same person but some are named differently. This facilty covers 7 or 8 other area stores so if you are unhappy with the work you might want to ask where its done so you can avoid the same problem(s). The manager is a super nice Brazilian man who goes out of his way to make his customers happy but he has a very thick accent & is sometimes hard to understand. He’s been here longer than anyone else at any of the 18 stores the owner has. The company/owner likes to take shortcuts & is outright cheap so always inspect your garments to be sure that«dry clean» cllothes have been cleaned instead of washed. If you ask for starch or no starch, it’s a crapshoot & often these requests are completely ignored. Although this all sounds like a nightmare this place is pretty good but I strongly advise you too inspect everything. Its no question that the manager & people like the sole emplotyee at his Boxborough location are the people that keep his stores profitable through their personalities & willingness to put the customer first.

This is your basic, standard laundromat. Nothing to write home about — some of the machines are seemingly under constant repair, there’s no comfortable seating, and you’ll occasionally see someone walk in that makes you want to put your wallet in your front pocket just to be safe… but hey, it’s a laundromat. It gets the job done if you don’t have the fortune of having laundry at home. I’ve tried several in the area, and this is my go-to joint.
