Gates Mills Place

The worst management company ever. I will never rent from K&D again. I would rather be homeless. They don’t take care of their properties at all. The hallways are dirty, the elevators are dirty and the stairwells are filthy. The parking is terrible. They offered at Gates Mills Place for you to pay an extra $ 20 for a garage spot which we did, and you have to leave it on for the remainder of the lease. We got one and when it rains the garage leaves rust stains on your car which they of course don’t take responsibility for. The pools are rarely open and the outdoor pool costs extra money which is ironic because when they advertise it as an amenity they don’t mention that part at all. The weight room is a joke and there’s never even a pin In there to adjust the weights. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. We asked them before to come and fix something but to wait until we were home but of course they entered anyway. The list goes on. And you will never EVER get your security deposit Back even if you leave the place cleaner than when you got it like we did. We regretted it instantly. Not to mention the weed smells in all the hallways that travels through the vents as well. Please I beg you, if you respect your property and don’t want to be miserable, pay a little more money for a management company that respects their property and their tenants. If I could leave zero stars I would.

1. No hot water in the middle of winter.
2. Broken elevators ALL the time.
3. Crappy customer service.
If I were you, I’d look else where.

These apartments are advertised as luxury apartments and they are far from luxury! I live in the north building which is what everyone says is the best building and in my opinion it’s probably the same as the others but it’s appearance may be a little better. This building still has outdated appliances and roaches so don’t get caught up in the hype! I saw 3 roaches and I’ve been living here for 6 months. I called customer service to get an exterminator and she replied «(laughing) if you saw 3 roaches in 6 months I don’t think that’s anything to panic about.» So I had to let her know that if you’re a person who’s never lived with these disgusting things than yes it is something to worry about! She should be ashamed of herself! I’m sorry I’m not dirty enough to let the situation get out of hand before I address it! This place is a joke! They also lost my rent check and 5 days later put an eviction notice on my door!!! I called and they just said ok we got it… no apology at all! I can’t wait to move!
The only reason for the 2 stars is that I don’t hear a sound when I’m in my apartment (which is a big thing for me). I hate thin walls so they can get 2 stars for that in my book.
