This small family run nursery is a gem worth a little drive in the country. What you won’t find are the standard fare from the giant growers trucked in from all over. Instead, Chris and Bill Reid have made a labor of love into an eclectic collection of hard to find natives. Their work represents the cutting edge of the transition movement toward landscapes uniquely suited to thrive in our local conditions in a sustainable way. If your goal is to build a landscape that doesn’t run up your water bill or have to be replaced every year, but just quietly rewards with color and butterflies, this is the place to go. It is a nice drive! They also offer informative free classes, so be sure to get on their email list.
