The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. Typical Hampton. The one thing I noticed was the number of toilet flushes that I could hear in the morning. Thin walls or LOUD low flush toilets? Not a big deal. I like to stay at Hamptons and this one was lower price than others nearby.

I was always told that if something is too perfect or if you give it all 5s then it doesn’t seem truthful. The front desk staff at check in was amazing! Katie was exceptional and professional. My room was well taken care of and very clean. I was on the 3rd floor for one night. Breakfast was great, the breakfast staff member never said hi and didn’t smile. That made me feel awkward but she made sure to talk to her coworkers. The morning front desk associate was VERY accommodating, professional and A+(I wish I knew her name) Great job!

Great place. Clean and friendly staff. Recommend it and would stay there again if in the area and needed a room.

Very nice hotel, recently updated. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the breakfast in the morning tasted great and was more than we expected. Would definitely stay there again!

Let me put an updated review on this hotel. The inside has been remodeled along with the rooms and there up to Hampton inn standards as of this review. The property has all the basic needs and a breakfast. The location is next to the thruway and yea there’s a truck stop gas station kiddie corner the property. The restaurant choices are slim but you can find great places to eat within a 30 minute radius. Lets be real folks I know everyone has ventured out to try new places to eat so what’s the deal? In all a good quiet place to spend a night or two. If rural non suburbia isn’t your venue, pick another hotel to stay at. A little research before you book a room wouldn’t hurt either.

I booked this hotel as a way-point on our travel from NC to the midwest. Have been staying at Hilton family hotels for years and picked this one due to past experience with Hampton. This hotel was far and away the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel was in very poor shape for just being«refurbished». The room smelled musty, the wallpaper was peeling and the bathroom was in pitiful shape. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the experience. Have slept better at much cheaper hotels. Stayed in another Hampton on the way home and it was polar opposite to this one. Very nice, clean, professional, everything you’d expect. I’m not down on the chain at all but this particular location is a pass — forever… Wake up Hilton, this place needs lots of attention if you want to keep up your good name.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I was staying in a hotel in a city, next to a shopping mall, numerous restaurants, a movie theater, and just about anything I could want. Now, I’m staying here. With a truck stop across the street, and a few scattered fast food chains being my only options for food and entertainment. Woe is me. Last night I made the drive over to Wytheville to go to Ruby Tuesday for some food… which is about a 20 minute round-trip drive… Driving 20 minutes for Ruby Tuesday food is rather disappointing. :P That said, I realize that the location is not a fault of the hotel… despite the severely lacking options in the general area where this hotel is located, the hotel itself isn’t bad. I do have A few minor complaints which I have at almost any hotel.(Refrigerator was a bit loud, the light on the elevator was out so that I wound up pushing my floor a few times before I realized it was already pushed, No sanitary wipes for cleaning fitness equipment after use, rather thin walls) However, the hotel had all of the basics that I needed for a night on the road, a comfortable bed, internet access, breakfast, and based on the cost… it was about what I expected.
