Homemade pies and stickybuns? Yum! Got pastries to go. Ate breakfast here and the people were so nice and welcoming. They have rye bread which was a pleasant surprise. As was their egg quality. Really tasty eggs and bacon. If you think all eggs are the same-they are not-and know that this place is gonna be a regular stop. The food is better because you can taste that they truly care. Clean bathrooms Clean restaurant Lovely staff Doesnt get any better! Cant wait to try dinner!

The worst breakfast i have ever had. Don’t go. I don’t how they did it but, my french toast was almost a rock when i got it. It also seemed very expensive for what i received Will, never go back or suggest it to anyone.

I always stop and pick up a few of the cinnamon and pecan rolls when driving by. They are made well, massive, and sold at a bargain price!

I was assigned to bring dinner rolls to our family Christmas gathering. They were open Christmas day and I got service with a smile! The rolls were affordable, delicious, and a hit with everyone! My only regret is not getting one of the delicious looking cinnamon rolls!

Stopped on our way for breakfast while going through headed up north. Decent food for a decent price. I had an 8 oz sirloin steak, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Service was good and good came out relatively fast. No complaints for breakfast.

The food is pretty good, and the service is good. Prices are okay. I would definitely go back. Portions are decent too. There’s also has a cutesy little bakery and gift shop attached to it, as well as a gas station.

Had breakfast here twice in the last two weeks. Both meals were decent. I asked for onions on the hash browns, they were delicious, nicely browned. Eggs over easy done just right. Decent coffee. Loved the seating area back where it links to the hotel, its done in log cabin motif. They have a gift shop, liquor, etc. Didn’t check the liquor, but the gift shop had high prices for cheese curds, candles, etc.

Fantastic cheese and gift shop, great fudge and deserts. This is the second time we stopped for the cheese and fudge, and this time we decided to have dinner, too. My husband and I both got country fried steaks with salad. I got veggies, he got mashed potatoes. Our son got a corn dog and french fries. The steaks were good, the gravy was fantastic, rolls were awesome. But. the breading around the steaks was too… thick and hard in my opinion. I like more crispy, like fried chicken, this was more of a battered style. My husband thought it was great. Also, the salads were just lettuce with a slice of tomato, which is more than fine by me, but the dressing wasn’t that great. We had coffee after dinner, and it was probably some of the best standard coffee I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back.

By comparison Wendy’s across the street is gourmet. Salad dressing was watery. Baked potato likely baked three days earlier then zapped. Was unedible. Had eaten here once before several years ago, decided to give it a second chance. BiG mistake!

Note to self and others… Don’t waste your money. Definitely one of the most foul, disgusting meals that I have ever been cursed to eat. It is not often that I have ever felt so strongly about a bad meal. I love good food. It doesn’t have to be fine dining, it doesn’t have to be gourmet, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, it just has to be good. I’ve had bought good food at truck stops, hole in the walls, off of a cart and out of a little igloo cooler. This… I would not give my dogs. The Mauston Park Oasis Restaurant and Bakery is conveniently located off of 94. They feature a gas station, a convenience store, a cheese and sausage hallway and adjacent hotel. The restaurant décor is outdated. A mish mash of several design ideas gone awry or leftovers from a bad garage sale. A few faux Tiffany lamps, some hideous art, license plates, fishing and hunting memorabilia, stars, middle America 2nd hand. They also had that tired evergreen carpet with carnation pink that makes you think late 70’s, early 80’s. The bakery did not look fresh. Many over-sized misshapen cookie mistakes that were frost painted to resemble farm animals, and other unsavories. That ought to have been my first clue… but we were starving and gave them the benefit of the doubt. My second clue that something was amiss was the stacks and stacks of pre-plated salads in the jello cooler. I worked in the restaurant industry over 2 decades ago, and even back then, that is an absolute no no. This indicates that the salads are not fresh… and there was no way that the business there even validated why they could not take the 30 seconds to plate a fresh salad. I stupidly ordered the special. Beef Tips. I did not want the salad so opted for their baked potato soup. Soup was congealed. I suspect that is was leftover sausage gravy with chunks of potatoes. Taste was bland and starchy. It was one of those situations where I forced myself to taste it 3 times because I could not believe how bad it was. The special? Oh boy. Wow. It was more like chipped beef ala dog poo. Flecks of a beef like substance… the texture was off putting… kind of like meat goblins. The potatoes definitely from a box; it had a gluey thick taste. I really couldn’ bring myself to eat another bite. Wine? If you don’t mind a twist top. Sadly, from where I sat, I could hear the daily goings ons… the complaints regarding other customers, and I could see the staff texting behind the counter. This was one restaurant that desperately needed to be loved, their menu revamped and their chefs trained. The one beacon was that the man who appeared to be the manager was genuinely a nice friendly guy. I wish him well.

Exit #69! I, for one, will never forget to stop here again while traveling. And, let’s be real people, this is essentially a truck stop. Granted, it’s my favorite one in the world now. My group stopped in on our way to LaCrosse, and also stopped on the way back. We had breakfast on the way back, which was just what the doctor ordered. Their eggs benedict was the best I’ve had at a truck stop, and the hash browns perfectly prepared. One bad note from breakfast was the sausage gravy was perhaps a bit bland, but was remedied by applying some extra pepper. Problem solved. We had great service from our server. I’d definitely recommend this place to any traveler. Let me run down the list: — Excellent selection of Wisconsin cheese, including some very niche and unusual types of cheese.(Chicken Noodle Soup cheese, anyone?) — A bit more limited, but still impressive selection of sausage type meats. Elk and Buffalo Landjaegers? Yes please! — We managed to arrive a mere couple of hours after their most recent delivery of fresh cheese curds from Carr Valley Cheese. The woman was still separating the packages in the back. So squeaky and delicious! — Great looking bakery. Though I did not sample, the selections looked great. — Clean bathrooms! — Friendly staff throughout. Enthusiastically recommended, especially given what it is: a gas station/truck stop in the middle of BFE. PS, there is also a sepate retail location for Carr Valley Cheese right outside this place. Be sure to check that out for more awesome Wisconsin cheeses!

Oh no. Not good. Not good at all. Stopped here on Sunday mid-day on the way back from the Dells. Wife and I had the specials. Pork was fatty, dry and nasty. Turkey was unimpressive. Everything was from a can and cold. Son’s pancake was burnt. Daughter’s bacon was undercooked and fatty. Rolls we stale.(Seriously, how do you screw up rolls?) Waitress was MIA as we were choking down the slop, so we asked the bussboys for refills. Waitress then chewed him out for helping us. Actually headed to Wendy’s accross the street to feed the kids. I like trying out local places, but aftyer this experience my family won’t be letting me do that anytime soon. Bad.

I love how all the Mauston reviews are from Chicago people! So we stayed at the attached hotel and since they offered no breakfast we tried the restaurant. We tried the Southern Breakfast and the Corn Beef Hash special. Both were pretty good, but small portions. I did like that there was real corn beef in the hash and not just that weird canned stuff. My husband did try that giant monster Chocolate Cream Éclair. It was immense. And kind of scary. And still in the styrofoam box it came in. I have a feeling it would last until the end of the world if we left it in there.

What a great place! I had a late dinner here. I had the«Park Oasis Clubhouse». This is a club sandwich with a burger patty, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. This was a very good sandwich. They have there own seasoning on the burgers and it was very good. I don’t normally have desert, but couldn’t resist just for the fact that it is also a bakery. If you don’t normally have desert, save some room for desert. I had the best Chocolate /Cream Éclair. The people were also very nice and made great suggestions. If I’m ever back in the area I will be returning to this restaurant.
