This is Maupins finest establishment. From the well dressed door man to the high quality karaōke and sometimes a live band, this is the place to be seen at the gem of the Deschutes river. Artistic menus hand drawn by local artists. Elegant hunting trophies. Great décor from domestic breweries. Food lovingly prepared by a dedicated staff. Full bar and well dressed clientele — some with shirts on! Come try and you might be surprised.

Favorite bar. Ever. Patty rocks the house, the crowd is amazing and I have seen things at that bar some haven’t seen in their whole lives… Most which cannot be posted here. :) love me some Bow.

Great hamburger reasonably priced with ice cold beer in a one horse town. Delicious!!! Good service too.

Not sure why no one from our annual Maupin group has written a review but hey, I’ll do the honors. In short the Rainbow Tavern is AMAZE-BALLS. Every year we come to our friends house here, tear up the river on our pirate, viking etc rafts then meander on over to the Tavern for some boozin’ good fun with the townies! Don’t try and get fancy and order a kamikaze, they’ll just have no idea what you want. Stick to the beer and shots or box of wine in the cooler behind the bar and you can’t go wrong in this lively watering hole!

The only place for late night rowdiness! The«Bow» is a must stop after a rafting or fishing trip if you’re staying the night. The weekends are usually packed during the summer, but there is generally live music and a great mix of guides, locals, and rafters. It’s certainly not fancy but the drinks are strong and cheap! There’s a pool table, gambling machine’s, dance floor, and Hamm’s on tap. Winter’s are a whole different story. The patronage consists of the locals and the occasional group of fishermen or construction workers. Usual pub fair prevails but there are a few surprisingly great dishes. Check out the specials and the dinner menu.

The only place to go as a rafter in Maupin. No, really. The ONLY place to go. But the drinks are around 3 dollars. The barstaff remember what you like even on Labor Day weekend and they’re quick. What more could you want?
