I ordered food from Greek Bites for pickup. Little did I know I called the other Greek Bites location. I asked for my order when I came to the shop and they explained the situation. They happily called their other location and told them to cancel the order. They apologized and then took my order when I arrived. I told them I was in a bit of a rush, in which they replied«no problem.» And had the food prepared in less than 15 minutes. I ordered a hamburger and mozzarella sticks which were pretty good. The restaurant was clean and was nice for its size. They also put a nice greek pastry in the takeout bag as well. The cashier was very nice and friendly. Excellent service, not bad food.

This place is great — a quick stop for a mostly healthy and affordable meal. The kids were happy with the kids menu and also the chicken parm sub. The veggie(spinach, peppers and cheese) sandwich is very satisfying. Greek salads were also pretty good. Although the desserts are okay, we always hit the magic fountain afterwards.

Great food, we had gotten the chicken platter. The staff was extremely kind and even made me a Greek coffee even though it wasn’t on the menu. Great service and food, would definitely go back!

Good stuff — hard to come by good Greek food on the North Fork, but these guys deliver even if it’s on a fairly limited menu. The souvlakia and gyros could hold their own against ones you’d get in Queens, which is saying a lot. Even better is that(during the summer at least) they stay open relatively late compared to other restaurants in the area, which is a score when you’re hungry and it’s 9:15.

I ordered takeout and the food was fine. The hummus is pretty tasty. My biggest complain is the employees. When I entered the restaurant to get my meal it seemed like the angst filled teens/twenty somethings couldn’t be bothered to do their job. They were too busy chatting. I felt uncomfortable in the 5 minutes I was in the store. A «thank you» and«have a good night» from me was met with no verbal response, just the cashier turning her back on me to talk to her friends. Disappointing!

Mediocre Greek food. :( We ordered take out. The chicken souvlaki was dry dry dry. The rice tastes like it comes out of a box. Definitely not an authentic Greek rice pilaf I was hoping for. My hubby had fries with his and they are frozen crinkle fries. The only thing I really enjoyed was the tzatziki and pita bread. The process to check out was also confusing. There were two customers ahead of us that were having issues with their checks. The two employees behind the counter were arguing with each other and there was another girl behind the counter just playing with her hair and not helping anyone. The chef was also being rude to the employees. I haven’t found a good Greek take out in the Riverhead /Hampton Bays area. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to hear!

Don’t bother the food is awful and the service even worst. The guy there is anti-American and just plain nasty. Turned my stomach. Why pay for attitude and crappy food. Miss this place

Everything was great. Can’t beat their lunch special can get a gyro side and soda for ten bucks. Place is clean and food seems fresh It is kind of tight if you do decide to stay in and eat. Other wise this place is great. Hope it sticks around for a while this store front has changed A LOT over the years

Haven’t eaten there yet, but will try. They deliver to area which will be great since the north fork is sorely lacking in delivery options! However, we did stop in after the movies and got a couple of pieces of baklava. It was AWFUL. DRYDRYDRY Hope this isn’t indicative of their other items !

I’m so glad that Greek Bites is closer to home and I no longer have to drive to Moriches for some delicious Greek food. The eggplant dip was amazing, it was healthy tasting, flavorful and very smooth. I think I like it better than hummus and I never know that was possible. If you are a big fan of dessert, get the baklava, it’s seriously the best thing I’ve ever tasted. I believe its layers of phyllo dough, and generous amounts of honey and nuts tucked between each sheet. it’s soooo delicious! Get yourself one. NOW!

Greek food isn’t so easy to come by on the north fork. The Hellenic in East Marion is pretty good, but it’s not exactly just down the block from Mattituck. When I saw the«coming soon» in Mattituck Plaza I was very glad to know that we’d have Greek fare finally available close by. For me the gyro urge is a lot like the«pizza buds’». When it strikes there’s really no other nosh that will do. They do the gyro right. I almost couldn’t finish it. More than ample with works you’d expect. Good to have you in town!!!

Great Greek restaurant and take out. The restaurant is small but nicely decorated and very clean. We ordered take out and it took only 15 minutes to prepare our meals. The chicken souvlaki was nicely seasoned and juicy. The spinach pie was very good and the Avgolemono was excellent. They give you a lot of rice with the take out which was good but more than we could eat. The owners are friendly and they even gave us a Baklava on the house. Nice addition to Mattituck!
