1÷23÷16 We reserved for a group of 25, last night for my friend birthday. So we prepared them in advance for our large group. We arrived on time @5:30 p.m. I believe this was the WORST&SLOWESTSERVICE I have EVERINMYLIFE received from a Red Lobster chain. Our group received 3 waiters every 4 – 5 people. The young lady Jamie that was waiting on us was VERYUNATTENTIVE. We had to ask her for water, she brought the water without the straws. It took absolutely FOREVER to receive our food, we didn’t get our food until about 7:45 — 8:00. I ordered the honey glazed salmon & shrimp. Out of my entire group I was the last one to receive my meal. Like how long does it take to cook salmon? NOTEVEN10 minutes. So when they brought it out it was burned & over cooked. By this time I am furious. I just waited 2 hours for my meal, so I asked to speak to a manager(Holly). Holly came over to the group table & I put in my complaint & told her how horrible our experience is being. She apologize & sent the salmon & shrimp back. 20min later they brought out a plate with just a piece of salmon & a corn on the cob. On my original plate I had Salmon, shrimp, mash & corn. Again our waiter Jamie never came back to even check to see if there was a problem. I waited & the shrimp never came out. I requested for Holly to return to our group & showed her what was sent out to me, just salmon & corn. I asked her where was my shrimp & mash? She said I will have them to bring them out to you. SHRIMPNEVER came even after a 3rd request speaking to Holly. Then let alone our server Jamie never returned to the table neither. We had to utilize another sever Chris that w evening. as helping 5 other people in our group. Chris was the BOMB. He basically took care of the group of 25 by himself. So since the shrimp never came we requested for our check because we were ALL ready to just GO. We did not leave up out of there until 10:20. 5 hours later. This is no lie, I have my receipt with the time. I LOVEREDLOBSTER, but I will NEVER return to Matteson location. If I do I would call 1st to make hell for sure Holly & Jamie is not on shift for the evening.

I like this place, but there is no wow factor. It’s a pretty standard Red Lobster. The food taste just like every other red lobster that I have been to. It’s sort of a cookie cutter experience. You know exactly what to expect. Which can be good and bad. They have good customer service. Sometimes it takes a while to get food, but that’s on the busy days. It gets really busy on the weekends(of course) so be prepared to spend a little time in the waiting area or the car. If you have a large crowd call in advance and let them know. Overall a nice place to go and be able to talk and catch up with friends.

Good was average red lobster but our waitress was great! She was on top of it. Kept our drinks filled, answered all our questions and had a great attitude! Server was Serena, she did fantastic.

This was literally the worst visit at a Red Lobster ever. We were prepared to just really enjoy ourselves tonight. I should have took the fruit fly flying away as we say down as a sign but… my fault. We were seated right away at 8:56 p.m. At no point were we told who our server was. At 9:16 the server(who we had seen the entire time in our area) sashayed to the table and says«do yall want anything to drink»…(huh) no greeting, no sorry about the wait, no hi my name is? I instantly got upset because horrible customer service should never be tolerated. he didn’t tell us any specials, couldn’t tell us simple things like vegetables offered so attempting to place our order was difficult. My husband got upset and went to see a manager to request another server but that wasn’t any better. While acknowledging what he did was wrong she never apologized. You could clearly see that we didn’t even have biscuits, water, or silverware. We decided to leave. I’m not sure if this is what red lobster is becoming but it’s definitely why I’m spending more money to go to other seafood places. Will never go back to this location. You can’t work for tips and act like that.

Several friends and I wanted to do something special for my husband but it meant ordering 6(of the same) lunches for the next day. Not only was I told NO, but the person answering the phone was rude and snarly, and instead of saying she was sorry they could not do that, said NOYOUCALLTOMORROW, LADY I called another business close by. They were delighted to help me. No problem at all. You won’t catch me or my friends in Red Lobster anytime soon. Not if this is how they train their staff to treat customers.

They’ve raised their prices and their portions are less. It is as if I am paying for a gourmet restaurant when I am getting a 3⁄5 star chain restaurant. Anyways, the swordfish I had was good. However, I asked for the swordfish flavoring on the side, the salad dressing on the side, and for my green beans/vegetables to be plain. None of these requests were fulfilled. The calamari we ordered for an appetizer was probably about 1⁄3 calamari and 2⁄3 breaded vegetables. It was a horrible experience overall and I plan on never going to a red lobster again. The only reason we went was because my dad got a gift card for Red Lobster for father’s day.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I’m still trying to see why this location is still open for service. Let’s start with the service. It sucked. As I was being seated, the waitress came over and asked You ready to order now? I was like I was just seated with the menus and you didn’t even introduce yourself. I said give me a few minutes, then she asked you drinking? Right there and then I should have left, but I was craving shrimp and didn’t want to drive to Orland. I’d ordered a top shelf margarita with a side car of Patron. Well, that took about 20 minutes and when it arrived it was watery because I know it was just sitting on the bar. I ordered a lobster and shrimp dinner. Let me tell you how small the shrimp were. They were the size of salad shrimp. Just pitiful. My asparagus, I can tell were freezer burnt, but they tried to steam them, didn’t quite turn out right. Long story short, this location need to be closed. Service and the food sucked. Then the waitress had got an attitude with me because I left her a dollar tip. I said if your service had been a lot better, then you would have gotten a better tip. But here’s tip for you, maybe being a waitress is not the job for you. I will rather travel the distance to Orland than patronize this location again.

Dined in with my husband and our waitress was so nice. Both of us got the endless shrimp and she let us take some to go. Will visit again!

Vegetable Alfredo! It’s not on the menu so ask. A GREAT non-meat option! YUM! It is filled with some of my most favorite veggies: mushrooms, broccoli, red peppers, tomatoes, and onions in white alfredo sauce. It was a bit of at the bottom so don’t order it if you’re watching calories. The portion is enough for me to eat three servings, especially with the garden salad and raspberry lemonade. The server was polite and attentive, so no issues there. HE was not happy with the small size of the admirals feast. It looked dinky and definitely smaller than I recall. HE is contemplating not returning because of the quality. The service manager stopped by and the visit resulted in a coupon for HIS meal. We didn’t ask to see a manager. She was walking around surveying customers so we shared our thoughts when she stopped. It was awkward when she came back and I asked who she was since she didn’t give a formal introduction on her first visit. She could have been a friendly diner, or just a strange one, either way a formal introduction was needed when walking up to someone’s table. Bottom line, not high end by any means but Red Lobster can answer the call of the seafood crave(that’s not what I had… just hungry).

Gave them another try. Although the steak was tender and cook correctly and the lobster lovers dream was perfect. The service still leaves a lot to be desired. Slow and unfriendly. Had to ask for water which was never delivered to table. The food however was very good the steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I decided to order take out from this Red Lobster restaurant because I did not feel like dining in and because my previous take out experiences were okay. Although it has been years since I last ordered take out here, I thought it was safe enough to do– bad decision. Let’s get right to the food, shall we? I ordered the shrimp linguine alfredo — cajun style. It’s one of my favorites from their menu. First, the shrimp linguine… terrible. The shrimp were as small as salad shrimp. Say what? Yup. Miniature shrimp. And, the linguine tasted bland and a bit coarse. The sauce was edible and the cajun seasoning was carelessly tossed on top. The caesar salad… Besides the fact that they gave me WILTEDICEBERGLETTUCE topped with mounds of little annoying cheese strips, I was not given ANY salad dressing! Who does that? Mean, heartless people I tell you! Here is the humbling part… I really wish I had pics to show you. I could provide you with irrefutable proof of my poor experience, mini shrimp and wilted lettuce. The truth is that I threw the salad away, yet I ate every bit of the linguine. Not one morsel was left. I am not a hypocrite, I’m not. I was just hungry! Don’t judge me. Never again will I come here again for the sake of convenience. I will drive the extra thirty minutes to Orland Park or to Schereville, Indiana.

Once I was seated and my food came. The service ended there. Kathy never came and asked if I needed anything. Never offered beverage refills. Nothing at all! And some tall skinny dude brought me my bill. I was so disgusted. Food was great though.

I went here for lunch with my family on a weekday. This Red Lobster always has a filled parking lot at night and seems to be a neighborhood favorite. I was presently surprised that it was very clean, and that there was no food on the floor from the night before. I have been to several chain restaurants where food was stuck to the floor and it smelled of overused bleach water from«wiping» down the tables. The food, typical Red Lobster fair. The biscuits were fresh and our food came out hot and well seasoned. I wish I could give 3 ½ stars instead of 4. There were out of apple juice and chocolate milk, so my son was highly disappointed with his meal. I will probably go back for lunch only, I’ve seen the parking lot at night dont want to deal with the crowds. Food: 4 Service:5

This place sucks, my drink was watered down and tasteless, the chef burns the food including the biscuits and my crab cakes. I never go to this one except for 10 years ago and they sucked back then too, no improvement what so ever. The waiters were droping plates and breaking them, waisting food all over the floor. The table next to us was a large group and they just let their 2 kids run around the place screaming and playing, who wants to hear that?!? The manager and staff did nothing, and didn’t care either. The shrimp they serve for the endless shrimp are super tiny, no bigger than a quarter, and they don’t tast super fabulous either, they only thing I really want are the biscuits. The crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms are good but not as delicious as Olive Garden’s. The crab cakes were ok but they din’t taste freshly made, it tasted like they were the frozen kind. Even the frozen crab cakes I get from Sam’s Club taste way better then the crap I had. The manager of the place made a poor attempt of going around to each of the tables to say hi, I see why the place is the way it is because she looked and carried herself just exactly the way this restraunt is ran. I went to the one in Oak Lawn, and it was way better, I will definetly got to the one in Orland Park next time. Take my advice, don’t go here, waist of time.

This place is a joke. We got there at 4:15 on a Saturday and it took an hour to be seated. Ok, no big deal I guess. Our server, Linda, came to our table and without even introducing herself said«you know watchoo want?». REALLY? When we all looked at her with our WTF looks, she hesitantly said«oh…my name is Linda, I’ll be taking care of you today». Epic fail. Don’t go. Seriously.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner one night and we were incredibly disappointed. We’re a young couple, but we are not nuisances when we go out, mind our manners and act like mature polite adults when we dine out. We don’t sit on each others laps and feed each other like some people do. The way we were treated here was bizarre to say the least. Our waitress seemed less than interested in waiting on us. She never refilled my drink, refilled my boyfriends once. I asked for my salad dressing on the side and was given a salad drown in dressing anyway. I still ate it, as I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. Half way through our dinners, neither of us had anything to drink, and she didn’t come back to our table for a half hour after we were finished eating. This is not an exaggeration, it was literally a half hour. She had walked by 4 or 5 times but wasn’t close enough to us to where we could catch her without having to yell, but she addressed her other table as if they were her best friends, laughing, and having 5 minute conversations. Refilled the woman’s lemonade, brought them extra butter, etc… This was the same table where a couple was sitting on the same side of the booth, talking loudly about having sex and just being loud and obnoxious for all too hear, but nobody cared. Not really something you want to hear when your eating dinner. Anyway, we were sitting there, clearly ready to leave, needing a small box, and had nothing to drink for pretty much the duration of our visit. When we did finally catch her, she seemed annoyed, didn’t offer us boxes or the check, we had to ask her for everything. She just said, ‘Oh, doing ok?‘ The manager came to our table and asked us how everything was from a scale of 1 – 5 and we said 4 just to be nice because we were afraid we would be treated worse if we said 2. We were more than gracious and shouldn’t have been treated that way whatsoever. We won’t go back here ever, the servers in Bourbonnais are much friendlier and attentive. I am not a racist person, but the lack of professionalism, and carelessness made us believe that since we were the only white people in her section, that we didn’t deserve the same treatment as the idiots sitting on each others laps behind us. I’m only giving this a 2 because my food was ok. Otherwise, It was insulting and a waste of time.

I used to go to this Red Lobster all the time when I lived in IL, because really there isn’t anything to do there but eat and shop. If you hate the type of restaurant where every couple you see is sitting on the same side of the table then this isn’t the place for you. We get it your a couple so you don’t have to basically sit on your s/o’s lap to prove it. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive, cool place to kill time & drink margaritas.

I’m always surprised when a chain restaurant doesn’t suck. I arrived early — 5pm — on a Friday with a small group of friends. They had $ 8 margaritas served in very tall glasses with a short of Grand Mariner. I ordered Savingon Blanc and got Cabernet Savignon. Oh well… red, white, the waiter heard Savignon… My lobster pizza was surprisingly good. It was a flat bread with fresh tomato, basil and chopped lobster. My friend shared her Caesar salad and it was quite nice. Our bill was $ 98 plus tip — a bit pricey. For the money I would skip the chain but still, not a bad meal.
