The jet center, the only fueler at the airport, is perhaps the WORST FBO I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. Where to start? They won’t fuel you if you are not there, effectively, because they won’t fuel you unless they get a credit card first. Then, you have to go and get the fuel total from the truck, because they don’t allow «call ins» from the fuel truck, even though they clearly have radio contact with the truck. Finally, if you don’t meet their «minimum fill», they charge you 30 bucks «handling charge», note, not minimum, handling charge on top of the fuel.
When I filled up with them a waited 15 minutes «in line», watching the fuel truck fill a line of airplanes. It occurred to me that nobody was in the airplanes, so I asked them what was up. They were filling a line of flight school planes to put in the hangar for the night. Note this was AFTER I told them I needed to get fuel so I could take off in daylight.
Finally, I noticed that they disallowed feedback on this FBO on the airnav web site, by request from the FBO. Apparently complaints about them have been stacking up and they didn’t like that.
Most FBOs are happy to get your fuel business. This FBO clearly just wants small aircraft to get lost.
AVOID. There are other airports in the vicinity.
