I’m here for business and wanted to find a non chain restaurant. This place is situated in a, small strip mall. It seems to be pretty new and the locals appear to be embracing this Chinese buffet. Very clean and fresh selections. Nothing to exotic for the standard pallet. They also have a hibachi area that is included in the price. Seating is plentiful and is a combo of booths and tables. My only suggestion would be to add more Asia art or décor and turn down the fluorescent lighting. Give it a shot.

By far one of the best buffets I’ve been to. Each dish had flavor. Late selection also.

I was here a little over a year ago and I usually don’t remember a meal so vividly and I don’t mean that kindly. I was in town for the film festival where my uncle was getting a lifetime achievement award. Don’t take this lightly when I say THISTRULYWASTHEWORSTMEALOFMYLIFE. I originally intended to get sake and probably a California roll but that changed quickly. Upon entering the restaurant I noticed that it had not been redesigned since Bruce Lee was alive. The only thing more beige and lifeless than the walls was the food I’d come to learn. As the waiter arrived I asked for the liquor menu, he then responded to say that they didn’t bother maintaining it. They couldn’t maintain a liquor license. This was a big enough red flag to deter me from the sushi, I defaulted to sesame chicken. This too was a mistake as the chicken at Lee Ann Chin has more flavor. I once got food poisoning at a Vietnamese restaurant in Minneapolis but I forgave it because the food was decent(I didn’t return). The person saying this is a great restaurant is either paid, delirious or doesn’t leave Mason City. Thank god for the Pancheros in town, which is the best food I had all weekend there.

This is a very reasonably priced buffet with tons of selection and great quality food. They have everything from fresh fruit and salad to great chicken and beef and finally some awesome dessert and four or five types of ice cream. In addition to the great meat and fried rice, they also have good quality sushi and a drink is included with the buffet. All in all, it’s a great representation of how a Chinese buffet should be. They nailed it.
