Yikes. How is this place even in business. $ 8.00 basic sandwiches with no fries. Watered down coffee. Cheap ingredients. Whacky staff(yelling match). Nope, never again.

Food is pretty good but the guy working the grill and microwave has a lot of attitude. I spending my money elsewhere

This is you’re traditional run of the mill breakfast spot. Luke warm friendly service and always filled with locals and the old timers. It can get busy as most places do and may take a while to get your coffee, esp refilled. I often look to have several cups of coffee but if the waitress doesn’t come around and i’m done, i’ll pay and leave. Even with a nice tip they don’t seem overly thankful or appreciative. They have a few tables outside where you can eat when the weather is nice out. The food is fresh and of good quality. As I always say eggs are eggs. But the bacon is good, the toast, and home fries aren’t bad(could be more crispier, maybe seasoned). Have yet to try the pancakes or french toast. That’ll be next. This place won’t blow your socks off or leave you gasping for more, but it does the trick.

This is a great spot to grab a quick, tasty, traditional breakfast on the cape. It is very casual and the service is fast. The food is delicious and just what I would want on a summer morning while enjoying my beach vacation.

Lousy food, horrible service. It’s busy on Sunday mornings, if you don’t like your customers you should go into another business. Overheard the owner come out of the kitchen and say nasty things about the customers who are paying his bills! Had an over cooked dry omelette. Don’t bother to go here. Lots of better places nearby.

Went with the wife & kids. Great breakfast and ample servings. Limited seating availability so I’m not sure what it would be like at busy times, but still an excellent experience.

I’ve been driving by the Picnic Box for quite some time, thinking it was just a sandwich shop. What I found was more. The menu has a number of seafood items like scallops, fish, etc. Homemade Meatloaf was the special on the day I visited, and there are a number of other entrée choices. There’s also a full breakfast menu. I left with a Crabby Patty and a Fish Sandwich to go. Both were basic but quite tasty. The fish sandwich was especially good, not at all greasy, yeah! The cook offered a couple of home-made, still warm chocolate chip cookies to go with the sandwiches, which I gladly accepted. There were a number of regulars having coffee or lunch providing plenty of local flavor. It was kinda fun to just sit and listen to them chat.

As a breakfast place this is subpar. It seems like a local hangout spot that is frequented more for the conversation than the food. The menu is small and the prices were somewhat high for the quality. The place was full of retired men arguing about politics and talking about their football bets. Not my style, and it didn’t seem very clean either.

CLARIFICATION — SUSHI is in the evening only the regular breakfast place operates in the morning(they sublet to sushi guy) — no idea what breakfast there is like. SUPPORT the sushi guy he is good. He used our fresh scallops and whipped up some maki! Bring your sake beer heck even your juice box or water! UNAGI!

And, now, sushi at night! Ya can’t get more eclectic then that. It’s a transpacific picnic box.

Good breakfast food, won’t blow your mind, but still pretty good. As the dude at the next table said, in a heavy Mass /South Shore ahhccent, «this beats Dunkin Donuts anyday.»
