Best local burger in town. Owners are also great. Highly recommend if your looking for a GOOD burger. Gotta try the fry sauce

Reminds me of the homemade burgers my dad would always grill outside. Fresh meat, vegetables, etc. my favorite place for a burger. Dipping sauce is yummy too

The burgers are good like you’d want at home. Could use more seasoning the be great. The best part was the strawberry banana shake I got was amazing! Fast burgers homemade quality.

This place has amazing specialty burgers. The jalapenos fresh and grilled something that you don’t see everyday. They have a great burger and an amazing selection of sides such as fried pickles, fried mushrooms and chili cheese fries. The staff was amazing even when we showed up 30 mins before closing, something that always scares ME. It’s a proper hole in the wall hamburger place and I’m sorta bummed that they aren’t closer to my house. This is a local business owned by a family which is a huge plus in my book.
Would I eat here again? I’d definitely be a regular if I liked in Marysville.

Pretty darn tasty burger. My husband had been here several times and said it was good. I finally got to try it and it was yummy. Got a double bacon cheeseburger and it was really tasty. And it actually had some pink in the meat. Hooray — since most places seem incapable of cooking a burger properly and leaving some pink.
The fry sauce is excellent. The fried pickle chips are too salty for me — but the hubby loves them. The fries are just frozen crinkle fries — so nothing super special there. But I would go back again for the burger.

Don’t expect any fancy food, it’s just simple American meals here, but they’re good. Especially those milkshakes!
The couple running the place are extremely friendly and make sure to give you attention any time you visit. The customer service is great, the time it takes for food is relatively quick, and the prices are completely reasonable.

I was so surprised at how great this place is. Pretty tasty burger and fries. Service was nice and quick. A step down from a red mill burger but still really good. Can’t wait to try their shakes and fried pickles!

I’ve tried this place twice now. The first time we ate at the restaurant. The food was good especially the clam strips and fries mushrooms. And they have great burger and side options. The second time I got take out and I felt like because it was take out they didn’t do that great of a job with the food and it tasted like the fries had been fried to short and in oil that had just been replaced. Overall I like this place and will return but I don’t suggest take out

So arrived here at 5pm on a Thursday and left at around 6:30pm. During that time there was never any line and we received our food within about 5 – 10 minutes of ordering. The restaurant seemed clean and had enough tables for everyone to sit down.
My order was the following: Double cheeseburger. Fried pickles. Cookie dough milkshake.
The total for that order was: $ 14.22
Double cheeseburger: The bun tasted like it was purchased in bulk at a grocery store. That was a bit disappointing. The patty was alright but nothing special. So it was pretty expensive for a mediocre burger.
Fried pickles: I’ve never eaten fried pickles before today, but I liked them well enough. Though I wish they had offered a smaller size.
Cookie Dough Milkshake: This milkshake tasted great. As other reviewers have mentioned they seem to use syrups for most of their flavorings. While that meant my milkshake didn’t have any bits of cookie dough in it, it also means there were no pieces of cookie dough to clog up my straw. I would go back for the shake, and if this place only served milkshakes I would probably give it 5 stars.
The people I ate with were of the same opinion for the most part. Go for the shakes, skip the rest.

Having relatives who live in Marysville, when we visit we always make sure to stop by AJ’s Burgers.
Let’s start with the service– great. AJ and his wife (only employees) treat everybody like regulars. Striking up conversation, while also providing amazing explanations of the many options available at the restaurant.
Food– amazing. The burgers are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, and for $ 4.99 for most burgers you are definitely getting your money’s worth. Their fried pickles are to die for as well, even more so when paired with their well known fry sauce. Lastly, the milkshakes offer the perfect consistency (not too thick and not too runny) while also being the perfect compliment to your meal.
Overall, AJ’s burgers is our go to spot whenever we visit the quaint town of Marysville. I hope they stick around for a long time.

I bumped this from a 2 to a 3 beacuse the prices are decent relly good service the owner’s where a relly nice cupple it’s better than fast food. the Hawaiian chicken sandwich was small with very little pinapple I had the bacon cheese burger where the bacon was cooked in the morning and than thrown back on the grill and over cooked the burger patty relly relly small but the flavor was good had the deep fried mushrooms not that great maby I’m just spoiled being from califorina with in and out

Burgers are great as are the fries and shakes. The meat they use is very well seasoned, but a little lean for my taste. I personally prefer a little more fat in my burger, but then again I’m a fat body. The onion rings are wonderful as is everything else they fry. Speaking of fries, the fry sauce is pretty tasty; I smothered my burger in it and ate my onion rings with it.
The restaurant is clean and service is fast for a freshly prepared burger and fries. The staff is friendly and were very nice.

My favorite burger spot in Marysville. It isn’t because of the burgers themselves, but because they have such delicious shakes! They aren’t chunky and they use the flavor shots coffee places use for Italian sodas and other drinks. I’m always left satisfied and the two gals who work there are kind and sweet. They never fail to leave a smile on my face! If you are in town, you should definitely stop by.

I’m always happy when I order here. Being vegan its nice that they have a veggie patty.
They are very friendly and I am always full when I leave.

I’m seriously confused. This place was VERY average. The reviews suggest this place is amazing and to die for. It’s not.
First off, the staff were very nice and professional. Also the fry sauce was really good. Unfortunately that’s about it for me.
The ingredients were very wholesale, ie Costco walmart specials. Traditional sesame buns, fake American cheese and so forth. I got a bacon cheeseburger, the bacon was very over cooked and the beef patty was very small. I ordered the fried pickles that were glorified in other reviews, gezz… Not good. They were very plain, lacking no spices or special breading for the deep fryer.
Their prices were pretty steep for a sit yourself place, $ 27 for 2 adults and 1 kid.
I feel bad giving a 2 star to a local small business, but it just wasn’t good.

Found this place through browsing nearby places on Unilocal.We stopped in and the two employees that were working were great, very friendly, and efficient.
The fried pickles were awesome. My girlfriend really enjoyed the bacon cheese burger and I thought the hawaiian chicken was tasty. We also each got a shake and love them. They let you pick two flavors and mix them for the shakes, the best part is that there is a huge list of flavors to choose from.

I would rate AJ’s as a step above Dick’s and In-​N-​Out, but the same type of atmosphere.
