Arrangement Florist of West Port

Well, I get to be the voice of dissent here, unfortunately. I read a so-​so review on Google, but saw the very positive reviews here, so I placed an internet order from NY state for a friend whose wife passed away in St. Louis. First, I did not know the arrangement I chose «Beautiful in Blue» was a Teleflora arrangement. I thought it was an original design by Arrangement Florist. I thought it was beautiful and perfect as shown for a sympathy arrangement. «As shown» is in fact wording used on the website, so I really thought the arrangement sent would look somewhat like the arrangement on the site, keeping in mind availability would be a factor and they had the right to substitute flowers of equal beauty and value as per the sales agreement. My sister in St. Louis saw the flowers at our friend’s home and sent photos to me over her phone. I was kind of flabbergasted that the arrangement sent lacked a visible focus, was full of greenery, lacked the blue vase shown in the photo (wouldn’t have cared about this if the arrangement was otherwise satisfactory), and seemed to be mostly full of inexpensive flowers. The website described the beautiful large white lilies, roses, alstroemeria, and a gorgeous blue hydrangea shown in the website photo. What was sent, visible clearly in photos were loads of alstroemeria, two irises, some daisies and loads of greenery. I left a message after-​hours on their «customer service» voicemail the same day saying I was not happy with the arrangement, but ended up phoning the next day at 11:00 a.m. as I had not yet been called back. The woman on the phone was friendly but said she had not gotten my message. She was familiar with my order. She explained it was about availability as some of those flowers are unavailable (white roses? really?) and that they had substituted the Irises, some white orchids which were indeed expensive flowers. I told her the arrangement just lacked a visual focus and did not have the impact of the flowers shown on their website. Despite their website saying they had a satisfaction guarantee, this woman was not too concerned that I wasn’t satisfied. After going back and forth a bit, I guess we agreed to disagree? She didn’t offer a replacement or refund. She just kept saying the line about certain flowers being unavailable sometimes. To me the arrangement they sent resembled a bouquet I could pick up myself at the grocery store for $ 15 and looked NOTHING like the one pictured on the website, though perhaps the «value’ of the flowers» was the same. Moral of my story is, if you find a Teleflora arrangement on a website you like, you might want to go to another florist. Arrangement Florists may be just dandy for original creations or specific orders over the phone, but not the best choice for internet orders of Teleflora designs. Last thing. On the bottom corner of their website it says they are a proud Teleflora partner, but I did not notice that until after the fact. The «Beautiful in Blue» page doesn’t say Teleflora anywhere that’s noticeable. I’m not sure why, but it makes me think they want to appear to be the creative source behind the design. That’s fine, but if you are indeed not going to make that design in reality resemble the photo, why use the Teleflora stock photo of the arrangement at all? Have they ever made a «Beautiful in Blue» arrangement that has ever looked like the photo? I’ve included photo comparisons. Not saying the arrangement in «View 1» doesn’t look attractive. It does, but not for a sympathy arrangement, not at all like the photo from the website.

My family has used Arrangements Florist for years, and Mayann is an absolute artist with the arrangements. I’m not a big flower person, but the arrangements she made for different occasions for our family were pure art. Mayann created the arrangements for my wedding reception, and they were perfect. She helped me figure out what style and what types of flowers I liked, since I had absolutely no idea where to begin. Using those colors and types of flowers, she made these stunning center pieces that were a mix of really tall, medium, and table level so that each table had a unique setting on it. The venue coordinator even said they had never seen such awesome flowers. She also suggested a lighting color to complement the centerpieces and it was stunning. Truly a pro, so easy to work with, and you will always get unique and exquisite arrangements from Mayann.
