This place is THEBEST. I don’t quite know where to begin, so I’ll start with what happens when you walk in the door — immediate grinning greetings(by name of course if you’re a regular) from the Peking service team. I have eaten here probably 50+ times as I’ve lived in Martinsburg over the years and not once have I not received the warmest welcome. Peking is a community staple. If you’re new to the area, it should be on your ‘top 5 must visit list’. The food is delicious, and I am very surprised they more Unilocal reviews don’t reflect this. I have eaten a lot of Chinese food in 29 years and this place is literally THEBEST — fresh vegetables and flavorful sauces! The crunchy noodles they serve are addicting(don’t be ashamed to ask for another bowl!). The tofu & vegetables in medium-spicy brown sauce is my go-to order. Other traditional favorites include the vegetable lo mein and Szechuan string beans. My husband(meat eater) recommends the mixed vegetables with chicken in brown sauce. Also, to help all the deliciousness go down, you MUST order a Kane Special — this drink is Martinsburg’s most notorious and celebrated cocktails. The perfect subtle blend of fruity spirits — you won’t be sorry… well, unless you order more than 1 and try to drive!

Solid standard chinese food — good hot & sour soup, reasonable prices and a nice dining area. The bar at the back of the restaurant is one of Martinsburg’s finest hidden treasures — go see Kane and let him serve you a cheap drink that just may knock you on your ass.
