A hidden gem in downtown Martinez! I shop here for all occasions: birthdays, valentine’s day, christmas. There are more than 20 artists represented here so there is quite a range of styles. They have a free Sunday brunch once a month where you can shop and nibble on breakfast treats. Prices range from $ 2 for cards, $ 15 will buy you a beautiful hand made glass hair barrette or painted wine glass! I always buy my holiday white elephant gift here. Every 9 weeks there is a free artist reception with drinks and munchies and all the work is replaced with new work. They also participate in local events like beer crawls, wine strolls, holiday Elve’s workshops and more.

This gallery features works by Martinez-​based artists. One of their goals is to see the community grow culturally and artistically. Portions of the sales from mARTinez Gallery and events such as Art In the Park benefit local schools’ art programs. With funding for the arts always on the chopping block, they are to be commended for their commitment to these programs
I found that the work was well displayed. The art and the pieces in cases change frequently. Nothing really seemed overpriced. I think that the quality of the work is quite good.
