What a find! Yes, a short drive out of Montpelier, but close to so many fun things to do in rural Vermont. The proprietors are young entrepreneurs who make your stay comfortable with a good breakfast available. We highly recommend this motel.

I have stayed here several times, particularly because of their dog-friendly policy. The basic, very clean, comfortable accommodations suit me fine. Breakfasts are fantastic. The setting is gorgeous. The pup and I shall be returning!

This place is run by a kind, helpful couple, and features your typical, old school, 70s décor motel. So, the décor is not super fancy or modern, but it’s all spotless. Very clean. The #1 very best thing about this place… is it’s view. It stands alone, separated from the rest of the town, and overlooks a small river, and has an expansive view of the mountains. The owner mowed a small«nature path» near the river where you can go on a great walk(with close toed shoes) near water and see all kinds of wildflowers and animals. In addition, the location for a traveler is great! You are literally 5 miles west from cabot creamery, 15 miles east from Montpelier, and even closer to Bragg’s maple syrup farm. Plus, the owners make breakfast in their main house each morning with all local ingredients. They have a menu, and you have to pay, but it’s cheap! Three huge blueberry pancakes, plus 2 eggs, one coffee, and one tea for $ 7.
