Stayed over the past weekend. It took 30 minutes to check in although there was no line. They stated the internet was down and this was the cause. When I finally reached a manager on Thursday she states there were no complaints about the Internet being down — umm ok, so why was I waiting so long to check in? There was also no available parking on Friday night — I had to park in another lot. There were several disgruntled guests at check in asking to check out due to the noise. When I headed upstairs to the 2nd floor there were over 10 adults in the hallway having some type of party. They appeared to be there for a baseball event — so while it was difficult to fall asleep due to the adults at night — I was woken early by screaming kids running down the hall. The police were even called due to the behavior. I asked to speak with a manager both Sat and Sun, even leaving my cell number. The check in papers state to notify management prior to leaving to resolve complaints. That was impossible. On Sunday, staff stated they couldn’t even get in touch with the manager on call and said they had the same problem I did. Shows the kind of professionalism to expect from this place. I called Monday and was told both managers were in a meeting and someone would call me the next day. Again I had to call and couldn’t get a manager until Thursday. The only type of apology given was that upon booking they informed that there would be a large group staying. So I guess it’s my fault for the lack of Internet, parking, noise, and availability of management. I will be contacting the BBB. Stay at the Hampton Inn next door. The manager I spoke with, Brittany Ramirez, was completely illogical, and clearly flailing in her role. This place is in serious need of a management overhaul.

The place is fine. Nothing special. You get what you pay for, which in my case, wasn’t a whole shed load. Which is good. The rooms are what you expect and somewhat in need of an update, but they are clean. The AC unit works very well, which is key. And the bathroom soaps and shampoos actually smell, well, decent. Problem for me was the hotel was under renovation and my room, on the first floor on the west end facing the parking lot, was apparently by the one entrance the workers used to enter and exit the building — and they were far from quiet. Also, as I stayed here two nights, on my first night, someone decided to play furniture moving olympics at about 1AM, then again at 4:30, and appeared to be conducting some sort of martial marching program wearing hobnailed boots. This did not make for a restful night’s sleep. Upon complaining to management the following afternoon, she said she’d report this to the night manager and, lo and behold, said noises stopped. Breakfast was fine although I could do with more fresh fruit offerings. Upon check in I was given a voucher for a free dessert or appetizer at Schuler’s, a nice local restaurant. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I’ll stay here again but hopefully the renovations will be completed.

Pretty disappointing compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses. I feel that it was over priced for the condition that it is in. They will be renovating soon so hopefully that will change it around. Unfortunately, there is only this one and Hampton Inn next door to choose from. Continental breakfast was good though.

The hotel is very well suited for family and business travelers. The staff is accommodating and helpful. The rooms aren’t overly plush, but are large enough to spread out and relax without feeling cramped. The staff will help you find a place to eat and provides great directions. I’d stay again. Don’t miss the cookies

Fabulous stay here! The rooms are not posh but are clean, relatively spacious, with all necessities provided. The gym and indoor pool are clean and nice. Breakfast provided with a nice variety of options available. The desk staff were so friendly, I almost wanted to move in! Besides the free breakfast, throughout the day they were continuously offering free snacks at the food bar(fruit, pizza, home made cookies) which is conveniently located across from the desk as guests enter the front door. The hotel is located in a somewhat rural area, just off the expressway. Just a few miles to a very charming little town where there is a nice bike path and quaint stores/shops. Very down home feeling here.

As a Priority Club Rewards/IHG member, I have had it with Holiday Inn Express! Their rooms are getting smaller and no fridges. But the main rub is their pricing. In Marshall, MI. there is a Holiday Inn Express and a Hampton Inn in the same parking lot. Same age, comparable Hotels. As a member and as a Military Member. I went on line and Holiday Inn Express had a HIGHER Government RATE than their Best Price and that prices was $ 119.00 plus taxes, Military was $ 129.00, Are you kidding me? And this is not the only Holiday Inn Express in the US that does this! HAmpton Inn, right across the Parking lot, Comparable Room, $ 89.00 Plus taxes. AND A FRIDGE!!! Hampton Inn filled up that night, Holiday Inn Express didn’t!

Everything was good except the thickness of the walls. I heard the person in the next room snoring all night long. Then come morning, the doors opening and closing through the whole hallway. Not a good night sleep.

Finally! A respectable hotel brand that never fails to deliver!!! I checked in here for the night. Hotel room is covered by a college where i have been invited to perform this evening. I exhaled as i walked into the Lobby. There was a warmth and comfort that i haven’t felt in the last few days on the road, where i have been staying at luck-of-the-draw hotels no-thanks to Hotwire. Holiday Inn Express is consistent good service, quality rooms, with great amenities. Ironing board and iron in the room as well as hair dryer and all necessities you’d want at home. Beds are comfortable, towels are plenty, pillows are fluffy. There is a gym, a business center, a breakfast room, a pool. Cable tv on a large flat screen television, and relatively fast wifi service. Close proximity to some restaurants such as Denny’s, Subway and KFC, a CITGO gas station and not even 0.5 miles from the 94 Freeway which makes it convenient if you are traveling through. I am not paying for the room, the school is, but i did have to sign in at the front desk and saw the rate is $ 86 per night. This doesn’t seem too bad to me for the quality and consistency of the services received.
