The Pet Stop

While I respect the Pet Stop for having a large selection, fairly reasonable prices, good sales, and good hours, it’s almost a pain to go here as you have to deal with the people who are working. Typically there are 3 to 5 college-​aged hipsters hanging around the desk, bitching about something (loudly) the entire time you’re in the store, including while you’re checking out. A few of them of them don’t even have the decency to tell you your total, they will just continue talking and make you feel like you are a complete burden to them. Some of them are more knowledgeable than others, but if you have a question about a product or a pet, you’re better off doing your own research.
The Pet Stop does have a large animal selection (fresh-​water fish, rodents, and birds, particularly) and usually has some adorable kittens or ferrets you can watch scuttle around. They also have a large variety of pet foods. I think they also offer grooming now.
