This is definitely a dive bar on the main strip of the town. Not much to it Bartender was nice solid drinks but not much personality. Lots of cops around too beware

Our noses led us to bar/junk foodie heaven! We smelled what could only be described as fried potato nirvana as we were rounding the corner from the parking garage. Despite having eaten brunch a couple of hours earlier, we followed our noses and found the source of the smell that was making our mouths drool and stomachs growl. Was surprised it was the bar on the street that did this, but so glad we went! The waitress was friendly. Bartender was as well. The tv by our table was a bit loud but there were other people in the place watching the game, so not going to fault anyone on that one. Food was seriously junk foodie heaven for me! We got the chicken strips and they were done nicely. Not dry, not oily, little crunch. Just perfect! The fries were awesome and reminded me of my favorites at a certain neighborhood bar in Sac! The poppers we almost fought over. But I let the pregnant one win! I will definitely be back! Only then I think we will have to sample some of the other goodies on the menu!

Excellent choice of beers on tap, excellent food, and excellent service. This was our first visit, and we’ll be back often, I’m sure. Ken, the bartender, was attentive but not intrusive. He knew the beer list and menu inside out and made solid recommendations. Good time was had by all.

First of all, they hired way more televisions than actual waitresses. I mean, one waitress and one bartender, really? And it’s pretty fancy of them to give customers plastic plates. But the good thing is, they’re made in the USA. Other than that, I personally think McDonald’s and Little Caesars make better fries and bread sticks. However, the wings are surprisingly big. I guess that worth the one star. Good luck.

I had wings for appetizers and they are MASSIVE… And delicious, one of the wings(the biggest one) was a little pink inside but it was understandable because it was basically the 2⁄3 of my fist and it just proves that they make’em fresh! Taste awesome also! And I had the pulled pork sandwich(bourbon & Swiss) and BEST pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had! It was recommended by the bartender and I’m glad I went with it :))) very friendly staff also.

Not really any complaints about this place other than it is always crowded to the point where you can hardly walk to the bathroom, but I guess that is a good thing for business. The drinks are priced reasonably and the bartenders are pleasant. I have only eaten here once and it was nothing to write home about, but it was average bar food. They have a breathalyzer machine there where if you guess your correct BAC you get a free cab ride home or something. I’ve never used it but it sounds like a cool idea. They have a nice long bar with plenty of seats and then tables if you plan on eating. Its a nice place, and I’d recommend it.

I love the Dog House, most of the time! Good, friendly bartenders. Good bar food(wings in particular). Once it gets crowded though(Wed-Sat, after about 9:00), it’s time for me to leave. It gets a little frat-ish in there, which I personally don’t care for. But, hey, that’s just me! Also, Dog(the owner) is about the nicest guy around.

The waitress was the best I have ever encountered; I had the craving for a hamburger and fries= 5 stars to the mushroom swiss burger, fries and topped off with widow maker beer.

The jalapeño ravioli was average at best; ok flavor but consistency gave signs of being previously frozen. Not a huge deal. The wings, though, were amazing. In my pantheon of wings these make my top 5 all time for being great«all around» wings. The wings were(very!) large, nice contrast between slightly crunchy exterior and juicy interior. I had the hot sauce and it was just slightly hot but with a great tang. It’s probably better that l live about 1500 miles from here or I would have a little bit of a weight problem…

Was there over the weekend. Took awhile for the bartender to get to me as he was busy talking with the regulars. He spilled one of the bottles of beer on the bar. About an 1⁄8 of the bottle ran down the bar and I pulled a bar stool away so it wouldn’t spill onto it. He charged me full-price for the beer and then I looked at the bottle and mentioned that it wasn’t full. He then finally asked if I wanted another-which I did. He then gave the spilled bottle to his friend. Seemed irritated that I asked for another beer. I won’t got there again.

NMU class of ’05. Went here when it first opened and thought it was awesome! Hopefully they still have my mug! When I’m in town, this is the first bar and really only bar I go to. I miss this bar the most! Great beer selection and great atmosphere…

The breadsticks here are very memorable. Delicious warm bread sticks, covered in buttery, garlic, parmesan sauce– and served with these yummy dipping sauces. Up North def knows how to do delicious stix. Bar was happy and fun at happy hour– with groups of friends playing darts and having some beers. Nice crowd!

Dog House is definitely part of my 5 – 6 bar crawl that I do when up visiting family. The wings are delicious, sandwiches are good, pizza is yummy, and they always pour with a heavy hand. They have a dart board but no pool table. Cute bartenders and the 30 something happy hour crowd always has me heading in for more. I do know the owner by association and he is A-OK with me. Great location if your in the downtown area and just want to chill out somewhere.

The Atmosphere is good people and fun times at reasonable prices. the only draw backs being that it can be a pretty tight squeez some nights and that the restrooms are very small.

Great sports bar. The bartenders were accommodating, the drinks were well mixed, and the atmosphere was chill. Tasty pub fare(a friend and I split a pizza and chips/salsa — both were good) and attentive bartenders(they made sure that our game was on a nearby TV and our glasses were full). Age-wise, there was a mixed crowd when we showed up during the late lunching hour, although it appeared to get younger as it got later into the evening. Overall impression: a casual hangout for sports fans and twenty somethings.
