Great fried oysters and the staff was fantastic. Great seating with nice views of the bay.

Great spot for lunch. Rode the bike out to Tuckahoe and a nice meal of Crab cakes(real crab!!) I had the mixed summer veggies, but there was a hair on the squash so I didn’t eat it. Our server Kimmie was probably one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered. She was friendly and accommodating. We will re turn. Hopefully sitting out by the water!

First off let me say I have to be on a low sodium diet of 2000mg a day. So going out to eat can be very tricky as many restaurants have meals that are more than the daily allowance recommended by the American Heart Association. So when I did a search for a low sodium restaurant this place popped up. It was pricy, I would have ranked it $$$ not $$. But to be able to eat a nice meal out and not worry about going over my sodium level was worth it. I couldn’t have the soup but my daughter and husband did. It was NE clam and they said it was the best they ever had. The view of the water and the setting sun made it a beautiful place to sit. And the restaurant was very family friendly. It would have gotten 5 stars but the bathroom was tired and the toilet had issues flushing, the food took along time to get to the table and my daughter’s pork was burnt. They did make up for that by giving a free desert.

THis restaurant used to be much better than it is now. They just changed the menu and there are no more Side Orders. Mostly all seafood. I’ve had the filet mignon here and it was a little tough. The ice tea used to be good, but now its completely watered down. The back part of the Inn was full and so hot it was unbearable. And it is April. The noise level in that part of the restaurant was extremely loud. The main dining room was cooler. The 3 peice band was very very loud, you could hear the bass even on the back portion of the Inn. Food has declined in quality. Im not native to the area, been here about 10 years and am used to much better restaurants.

Beautiful views and an excellent menu make this venue a great place for lunch or dinner! Cocktails at full bar, or tables are very enjoyable! Private party or dinner for two! I highly recommend this restaurant for it’s clean, quaint, friendly and reasonable prices! Craft beers and a large selection of wines, and groups welcome! I recommend reservations!

We like going there when the weather is nice, and sitting in back right on the water, although you can only order from the bar menu then. If you eat inside, you can order from the full main menu. Good food, fresh ingredients. I usually have a simple cheesesteak or burger, but its always good. The place gets packed during the nice weather seasons, so make a reservation if you’re going during the shoobie season.

I ordered the soup of the day and the potatoes in it were under cooked. I over looked that because there food has been very good in the past, but when my early bird chicken francaise came it was seriously overcooked. Along with the chicken the side of potatoes was burnt crunchy. On the other hand I ordered a bread pudding for desert and that was delicious except for the paper piece I found in it. I would not recommend this restaurant that used to be good. All in all it was 4⁄10.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cape May County ! The food quality it consistently excellent with attention to detail. The staff is professional and the restaurant is very well managed. Honestly, I can’t say enough nice things about a The Tuckahoe Inn. From seafood to steaks and prime rib. many old fashioned classics but done right! The stunning view can’t be beat as it located directly on the Great Egg Harbor Bay. What a fun and enjoyable place to visit. I always feel welcomed ! 2 of my favorite dishes are the the buffalo shrimp appetizer and the black and blue prime rib topped with tons of lump crab meat in a blue cheese sauce. enjoy… I will also add that if you have room for dessert, it’s all home made and the pies are to die for! Kudos to the chef !

We were greeted warmly and promptly and very happy that our group of six were seated with a minimal wait time(no reservation). We ordered drinks at the bar and had dinner. Not only was the restaurant decorated very nicely for the holiday, but the staff(every single person) delivered exceptional customer service! Everyone was pleased with the appetizers, entrees and desserts! I had the filet mignon with crab imperial, shrimp, veggies and a baked potatoe. All cooked to perfection! I have been here many times before, but not recently and the Tuckahoe Inn did not disappoint! Definitely going back. Love the ambiance there, too!

Nice location on the bay, but over-priced, very average food and a disinterested wait staff are major drawbacks. We ordered the Shrimp Vesuvius($ 24.95) and a Vegetable Panini($ 7.95). The shrimp dish was a disappointing collection of mostly rice. $ 24.95? C’mon. The best part of the Panini were the fries. Our water glasses were never re-filled. No reservations, so be prepared for a 45 minute wait if you visit in the summer, during the weekend, after 6PM. Overall, disappointing visit. We won’t return.

Cute building and good food. Our server Andy was nice and helpful. We were comfortable bringing our 4 and 6 year old, and they had a kids menu. Loved the Cape May beer on tap yum!

Very good food/seafood. Worth the prices they have listed. I didnt feel overly full and the staff were very pleasant for my first time going there. It is a little cold in the dinning area, especially if you are not used to AC very often The attire on the website says casual but dressy would be fine as well

This place is notable for its longevity and its commitment through the decades to delivering mediocre food at exorbitant cost — a special combination that one doesn’t see that often, fortunately. If you think the whole good-tasting food thing is a fad and you have lots of money burning a hole I your pocket, then this is the place for you. Whether you are looking for an iceberg salad adorned with mealy tomatoes and watery dressing, a baked potato that has apparently been(boiled? bombarded with gamma rays?) to the point that it shrinks to the size of an egg, or a tasteless, relentlessly chewing-resistant steak that gives your jaw a crossfit-style epic workout, your tastebuds will be amazed… Stunned, really. And the service is unobtrusive; you will not be distracted by your… enjoyment… of your meal by a lot of tedious drink-refilling or bill-bringing. Did I mention it’s on the water? Yes, as gourmet experiences go, this one is definitely water-adjacent. So I look forward to my next meal attempt there in 5 – 10 years, because memories fade and hey, it’s on the water!

Absolutely fantastic in every way possible. We’ve been dining here for years and every visit is outstanding. Lots of history with Tuckahoe Inn, great view from the main dining room and consistently fine food and service. Try the shrimp Vesuvius, the seafood combo or the broiled flounder. Just had the cracked pepper and garlic shrimp appetizer last time in and it was great. Plenty of garlic and drenched in melted butter. Plenty of parking and a good dock if you come by boat. Try the Key Lime Martini or the Grape Cosmo from the bar. Always a good selection of beer as well. In the winter this has to be the warmest or hottest fireplace at the shore. Also, they decorate for fall and for Christmas. Done in a tasteful and enjoyable design each year. Two Yums up for Tuckahoe Inn as well.

We were there last night for a great evening of music from Scott Kirby. Like other Unilocalers in these reviews Tuckahoe Inn could do better. We had chicken fajitas from the outdoor service grill/kitchen which were bland. The chicken looked frozen. The plastic packaging is difficult to understand in today’s restaurant environment. Service is a saving grace. We have eaten inside and agree with other reviews that the food is old fashioned and just ok at a typical shore price tag. This place could be so much more. On the other hand, the locals and summer guests in Somers Point/Ocean City pack the place.

Was here twice in a week. Once Sunday for breakfast(they only have breakfast on Sunday’s), and then Tuesday night for the Prime Rib and Crabcake special. Breakfast left something to be desired(pancakes and sausage links), but dinner, dinner more then made up for it. It was a jam packed Tuesday night and even with reservations(7:30), we had a few minute wait(wait time for walk ins was 45 – 1 hour) I had the crab and asparagus dip app, a side salad and the Prime Rib and Crabcake special(served with mashed potato and zucchini), followed with Devils food cake w/chocolate mousse for desert. I was stuffed! We had seven in our party, including 3 children and they made it flow with no problems. It was delicious, the service was great and I will be back.

Shout out to Tyler, our 5 star server. Food tonight was five star. Stuffed flounder, red snapper, fried oysters, clams casino. Great porch seats. We had a 6:30 reservation and they did not seat us till close to 7. Hey, no big deal and they were busy. Bravo to Tuckahoe Inn for a wonderful night when we were celebrating my mom’s 86th.

I have frequented the Tuckahoe many times over the years. Always good food and nice to have the option of fine dining, the inside porch area overlooking the bay or their outside patio area. The outside has a couple bars including a sailboat bar which is pretty cool. And there is usually live music outside as well. Another nice thing about the Tuckahoe is that you can go by boat. The family and I pulled up by boat and went over for lunch. My daughter forgot her flip flops and my other daughter forgot her shirt to cover her bathing suit. Since the outside area doesn’t start serving til 1 pm, we were in a bit of a bind as we knew the girls couldn’t eat inside due to the way they were dressed. The host was very nice and said he would see what he could do. He ran upstairs and returned with flip flops and a tshirt. Problem solved and a very nice gesture. We enjoyed a great lunch looking out on to the bay! We will be back soon…

Been here before food is good, atmosphere casual right by the water. Nice. Great place to relax and grab a bite. Not too far from Cape May, NJ or Atlantic City, NJ. Overall a good spot to have a bite and relax.
