If your looking for that southern fried flavor, keep looking. If your looking for that Asian flavor you may like this place. When they can make a 16 pcs in 6 ½ minute you now it’s gonna be tasteless. Seems this has gone through some changes.

They have a very extensive menu. I wasn’t very impressed with their buffalo wings. We also ordered a tub of chicken which was not as crispy as fried chicken should be. The crinkle fries were good and the highlight of the meal. It was bland. the service was friendly and fast which was a plus. This location has obviously been around awhile and could use a degreasing throughout the restaurant. Iam willing to give it another try but for now 2 stars it is.

I usually pick up Buffalo wings from here, and 90% of the time they are great. I’m not a fan of breading on my wings, since I try to keep it low carb. I’ve had ALL of their flavors, which are: BBQ, Honey BBQ, Oriental Sesame, Garlic Cheese, Mild, Hot, Extra Hot I’m not a fan of the garlic cheese, even though I really want to be. It seems that there is just too much sodium in it for my taste buds. The BBQ, honey BBQ and Oriental Sesame are on the sweet side. Lately the Oriental Sesame has been my goto flavor. I would have given them 5 stars since they are super fast getting my order ready; they really boggie behind that counter. But unfortunately, I’ve opened them up at home only to discover the wings overdone and dry. No amount of BBQ sauce can bring those suckers back to life at that point. Inconsistency hurts.

Gross. Absolutely gross. Let me start with the way they packaged the food… the Mac and cheese was given to us in just an open container covered over with foil… dinner rolls in a plastic baggy and chicken container was held closed with a rubber band. Then our entire order was precariously balanced in a paper bag. The chicken was not only undercooked but the exterior was incredibly mushy. The mashed potatoes looked like they came out of a box and someone added way too much water… the store itself was dirty and smelled awful. Needless to say no one really ate their dinner and we definitely will not be going back.

First and last time I will ever visit. Place was pretty dirty, my food order was wrong. They gave me macaroni salad instead of Mac and cheese. Grilled chicken wrap was drowning in honey mustard, couldn’t eat it. Oh, and my 2 year old was shocked and got an electrical burn by two live wires they had twisted together and left sitting on their windowsill. All I got was a «sorry». Seriously awful.

I was quite worried that things would not go well here. I showed up to see a line literally out the door at neighboring Scotto’s Pizza, which I knew to be no better than mediocre. Luckily, I decided to go through with it and pick up lunch from Chicken Holiday – it was good enough that I’ve made deliberate choices to come back again. For approximately $ 9, you can get a 20 oz soda, chicken sandwich or wrap and your choice of fried/side item. The spicy barbecue fried chicken is rather good, featuring surprisingly moist fried chicken and a sauce tangy enough to stifle complaints. The Philadelphia wrap – featuring grilled chicken, mozzarella, red onion, hot and sweet peppers – is likewise a reliable option. As for sides, the potato salad, though an incredibly simple preparation, is shockingly delicious. I don’t usually like potato salad but this was perfect on nearly element. The fried okra is too heavily breaded but whouda thunk you’d be able to get fried okra here anyway?

Over the years, Chicken Holiday has passed through about three generations of ownership. And with each generation, my family returns less and less often. The menu changes are only noticeable over a period of about fifteen years, but they’re there and we rue them with fainter and fainter clarity. The fish is still good, the tartar sauce the same(what really changes about take-out tartar sauce?), the shrimp almost as crunchy. But there is more grease, the options are fewer, and Chicken Holiday, which doesn’t deliver & is a bit of a vehicular trek, is less of treat with each dinner ordered there. The salads aren’t so great and the packaging seems to express less effort evidencing the long term defeat.(And yet they remain open, and the mozarella sticks are still good!) These days Holiday has trouble competing with daily giants like KFC and Boston Market.
