The food was ok — We got some type of stuffed pastry and a combination platter with chicken, rice, beans, etc. I didn’t think it had much flavor, but we got good value for money. However, it bothered me that it was hard to communicate my peanut allergy to the waitress. There was a sign right behind her that had listed food allergies, which I noticed while I was eating dinner; kind of ironic. Anyway, the ambience is awful, food is average, and the icing on the cake was the hair that we found in our acai bowl. My sister and I left shortly after that.

Found dirt in empanada Looked like they drop it on the floor & gave it to me. cashier was annoyed that I spoke limited Portuguese. I ate the food ordered from take out, then had bad diarrhea. Never going back. Eat at your own risk!

Authentic Brazilian in a mom and pop, very unassumiing diner-style restaurant, nothing fancy, but very nice service. Have had the fejoada and the oxtail stew — both were good. The kids’ menu is so-so, I would stick to the traditional items.

Felt very uncomfortable here… I do not speak portuguese, and our waiter spoke no English– I ordered x tudu and he kept saying he did not understand me. Geez… We are in America!

We ordered delivery for dinner from here last night. We ordered the churrasco tropical. The delivery took over an hour and then on top of taking forever they charged a $ 2 delivery fee that they did not tell you about. The meat was cold by the time it got here. It did have very good flavor but being cold just ruined it. They also did not give you a lot of onions, peppers and tomatoes with the meat as other places do. I also got a passion fruit juice which was very good. The plus to this place is that they do deliver and they are open very late. It is a very small place inside. I will definitely go to the Framingham location going forward because the food at that location is 100% better than Marlborough.

This place is amazing. It was my first time ever trying Brazilian food, with my Brazilian boyfriend. I’m glad he came with me because… they only speak Portuguese there. Very, very little English. Huge portions!!! We rolled ourselves out of there haha everything was perfectly delicious.

Best brazilian food around. The food is always tasty and the desserts are too. The people are friendly. The place is small and can get very crowded at night and weekends. If you want to enjoy the great food with a more relaxing and pleasant atmosphere I’d recommend their second location which is in Framingham. It is much nicer and bigger, and the food is just as good(And I believe they sell beer & wine there).

I went here with some friends from work. We googled the place and the website looked good, so we went there. The pictures from the website are of the Framingham location. We were a little surprised, but not disappointed. We ordered a few meals for 2 and ate family style, outside on the picnic tables. The service was great, even with their limited knowledge of English, we got exactly what we wanted. The food was also good, we’ll be going back on another beautiful day to sit outside.

It helps if you know Portuguese. And by «it helps,» I mean«Please Learn Portuguese.» Thankfully, I went with a couple dozen hungry capoeiristas, so I was able to navigate the menu and put in my order with only a bit of difficulty. The one cook and three servers in there could not handle the rush of people associated with a martial arts class emptying out, so the service was agonizingly slow. Still, this is a four star experience for two reasons: price and authenticity. Though there are standard American items on the menu(pancakes, lasagne, etc), the Brazilian food is absolutely Brazilian — traditional and served without undue fuss. Well-seasoned steak and bowls full of rice and bowls of frosty acai juice were being served up and hungrily scarfed down. This is not bank-breaking food, and you will walk out feeling full for about $ 12. For what it is, Tropical Café absolutely does the job.

The fun thing about stumbling into a restaurant is you never know what you’ll get. It’s located right at the end of the Assabet Rails-to-Trails bike path, which is why I wound up there. It looks like a diner, but it’s a Portuguese restaurant. And its authentic. They have only vague translations of things on the menu and a woman who works there who speaks absolutely no English. I ordered what I thought was a beverage and turned out to be a pudding-like thing, but it was delicious. My spouse ordered fresh coconut juice, served in a coconut. Also quite good, and not as sweet as the acai bowl I got. As further evidence of how authentic it was, they had large TVs playing soccer the entire time we were there, and half the men in the joint were wearing Brazilian soccer shirts.
