We visited Solomon Pond Mall on the Saturday of Mother’s Day Weekend and decided to grab lunch at the Bertucci’s in the mall. I wondered a bit while I was there if the mall location offers the options and facilities that a stand-alone restaurant provides. The menu seemed very similar to other locations that we have visited. I don’t feel the restaurant was properly staffed for Mother’s Day weekend. We stopped by early to see about a wait, were told there wasn’t one, and stopped in one last shop while waiting for the wife to finish her errands. By the time we got back, roughly 15 minutes later, the wait was about 15 — 20 minutes. There were many open table inside so obviously not enough servers on duty to cover them all. I ordered the baked tortellini and chicken gratinati. It was good, not great, and I thought the portion was a bit small. Caroline had the Silano pizza with no complaints. Grace enjoyed the four cheese ravioli. Follow-up visits by the staff were not overly frequent, and in the end it took us much longer than I expected. No real complaints, but no big hurry to get back, either.

I came here with a group of five and found the service to be quite good. We had the guacamole, mozzarella sticks and mushrooms stuffed with lump crab for appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were good. They didn’t look like typical mozzarella sticks; they were flat and wide and already in the marinara sauce. All the other appetizers were just okay. For dinner, I had the BBQ Chicken pizza which was tasty. I love a thin crust pizza! Two of my friends ordered the shrimp risotto but the waitress came back and said that they didn’t have any more risotto but they would make it with any pasta of their choosing. They also took off $ 5 for the inconvenience which I thought was very professional. I wouldn’t run back here but I would return if there weren’t any other options.

Been here often have to early on a weekend night or long wait. I have never had server problems as many reviews seem to state here service I have always found great. Food was enjoyable for a chain obviously I went back so I must have liked it. Haven’t had Chicken Parm for a long time. Tried it last night and first bite knew something was different. In the past had nice thin chicken pieces well cooked. When the plate went down I saw immediately that I had three perfectly matched pieces of chicken. A sure sign it was a frozen deal purchases and thrown in the oven or microwave to heat up and just didn’t have the same taste as the homemade kind. Not sure if I will go back for the gratinati which I love but no more Chicken Parm for me.

Food is good, not disappointed. Service leaves a lot to be desired and the kitchen staff needs some serious training with timing meals. Nothing came out together and you have enough time to finish a meal before anyone else at your table will get theirs.

It gets very busy but the staff works very hard. We always seem to arrive one hour before our movie which is in the mall Also. Great food and cold beer. Always busy so sometimes patience is needed. We always tell the staff and we never miss our show. I’ve come at other times Never had a bad meal.

I’m a fan of Bertucci’s. Have been going to this chain since the early 2000s. Good pizza, salad, rolls. However, we’ve eaten at this location two times in the last month. And now we’re done. Never again. The first time, my wife’s salad with strawberries came with rotten, mushy strawberries. She didn’t eat any of them and moved them to the side of the plate. She was too polite to say anything to the waitress. That said, the waitress must have seen them all piled on the side. A good waitress would have asked, «was there something wrong with the strawberries/salad?» Nope. No comment. Awful salad. This time, my wife’s chopped salad with shrimp came with shredded iceberg lettuce that was not that fresh. Again, my wife kept quiet and we resolved never to return. I had the spaghetti with meatballs. Tasted okay but I left with an upset stomach. Feeling better now, but there is no way the food should give you an upset stomach. We ordered some asparagus for our daughter’s meal. It was tough. Not good at all. I complained and the waitress explained it was baked and should taste like that. No, I don’t think so. It was like gnawing on a stick. I have been to WAY too many restaurants to not know the difference. My daughter’s pizza was fine. The pizza at Bertucci’s is consistent. Last, the«little more» pour of wine results in a glass of average wine that costs $ 12.99. Really? I would visit the one in Chelmsford or Lexington instead. Never again.

We’ve been here several times over the years since my original, exuberant, review. The food is always great. Unfortunately, the service is always slow, when its existent at all. For the prices, the service definitely isn’t up to par. As far as the kitchen speed, that varies, but thats partially the serving person, so its hard to tell if the actual slowdown is the server placing the order, or the kitchen. If you have time, and are in a good mood, this would be a valid :) lunch choice.

This was the most horrendous experience I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. From start to finish, it seems like this place doesn’t care about the quality of the food or the experience the patrons have. Our lovely waitress(who’s name we never initially got… We found out it was Bridgette when we got the check) didn’t seem to have an interest in serving our table. She was a middle aged woman with dark wild hair. To start things, she never got our drink orders. She brought 3 out of 4 drinks to the table. Two of those drinks never got refilled even though we placed the empty glass at the edge of the table and they were obviously empty. The waitress looked at the empty glasses and kept walking by. When our food finally came, it was cold and curdling at the ends. The Alfredo sauce in the food was cold and hard. I’d say it was fucking tasty. We had pizza that was soft, cold on the outside and hot in the middle. If I had to do it all over again, I would not come to this location. It would have been better to go to the Olive Garden or the bertuccis in westborough. We had spoken to a manager and he offered a discount and a comment about being«too busy.» My meal and experience should not have to suffer because the old waitress was having a bad day and the manager cannot forecast his business correctly. So my suggestion for this place is RUN! Turn and run as fast as you can!

Weird location but great service. Our server was extremely nice and on top of his game. It was nice to never see an empty glass of water. The appetizer we tried, margarita flatbread pizza, was much less than stellar. I could have made something much more flavorful at home. Of course, the bread and dipping oil here is amazing as most everyone knows and we were also pretty happy with our entrees. I had the shrimp scampi and my friend had the Cobb salad. Both were pretty good.

Never again. Had reservations for 6:45, were seated at 7:10. Fine. Ordered our dinners — excellent waiter btw — and food arrived 40 minutes later at around 8. We had eaten at other locations before, and the food was always good. Not so much at this location. My wife had a steak that was burnt on one side. I had a Pizza Bruschetta, usually good. It was so greasy and over salted that I could hardly eat it. This was the worst food we had in a long time.

I went here just this past Saturday night on a date and we had a really miserable experience and I was greatly displeased. First we show up at 7:00 when the dinner rush should be winding down and were told there was a 40 minute wait which was in actuality 50 minutes. When we finally sit down and are so hungry after that long wait that we put our order in right after the waiter brought our drinks. 25 minutes go by — no appetizers. I get the waiters attention and as he’s coming to the table he sees we have no food so he rushes off to the kitchen. 10 minutes later he comes by to apologize — there are problems in the kitchen and the manager will talk to us. Ok so we waited 50 minutes for a table and now 30 minutes more just to get an appetizer! The manager comes over and is very apologetic and begins to tell us the entire kitchen is in a state of disaster and all orders are behind because of one new person they just hired — really? One person can mess up chain restaurant kitchen THAT badly? I don’t believe it — anyway she told us the meal was on the house — apologized again and shortly after that the appetizer showed up. It was awful. It tasted like whoever made it dumped a bottle of salt on it. That’s all I could taste… salt. Then the pizza came… it was warm but not hot. The crust was perfect to it wasn’t undercooked but it wasn’t hot like just out of the oven and it was just mediocre. Really didn’t taste all that great but since I’ve had pizza from another Bertucci’s before I know their pizzia is good it’s just that this one wasn’t. To end the meal we decided to split a piece of tira misu. It was just awful. We took a couple bites and left it on the plate. I think the problem is they use cream cheese instead of Marscarpone cheese because it’s cheaper but it doesn’t taste right. It was nice of the manager to say the dinner was on them but honestly it was a terrible experience — we didn’t plan on staying out for three hours but between the wait for the table and the wait for the food — that’s how long it took just to get dinner so it really kind of ruined the night. And the sad thing is this is not the first bad meal I’ve had at this particular Bertucci’s. I’ve gone a few times before with friends and once I got pasta so undercooked I couldn’t eat it and the other time I got Chicken Picatta so mushy that at first I wasn’t sure it was the right order. This place really needs to get it’s act together. I don’t know how they’ve stayed in business this long with so many mistakes …

Food is always really good. Today service was exceptional. Had a small issue with a take out order and the manager handled it very professional. She was very apologetic and truly sincere.

I love Bertucci’s; it’s a great restaurant with amazing, affordable food and I always have a better than expected experience whenever I go, but my first and only visit to this particular Bertucci’s in the Solomon Pond Mall makes me irate. It was only a little while after the restaurant had opened when we stopped by for a quick lunch. We were seated in the corner, a couple booths away from the only other customers. We waited about 10 minutes before the host asked if our waitress had come by to take our orders. We told him we’ve yet to see her; we don’t even know her name or what she looks like at this point. He apologized and told us he’d notify our waitress right away. 15 minutes went by and she still hasn’t showed up. The host stopped by again and took our orders for us, all while deeply apologizing for the waitresses absence. We were finally able to see our waitress when she brought our food out to us. She didn’t greet us or introduce herself like most waiters/waitresses do. She apologized for the wait, but it wasn’t genuine and sounded forced. She quickly left without asking if we needed anything else. The food we ordered was good, but we never got the bread that is given in the beginning. That is the only reason why we keep coming back to Bertucci’s and we didn’t even get a chance to ask for it since it seems our waitress was too busy ignoring her only two tables(the other party left about 30 minutes after we arrived). The only other time we saw out waitress was when she dropped off the bill and when she picked it up with a smirk asking if we’d need change for our $ 50 bill for a $ 20 order. The gall that girl must have to think she’d be getting a $ 30 tip for her measly, pathetic service. I recommend Bertucci’s to anyone, but travel the extra few miles to the one in Westborough if you want a complete, satisfactory dining experience.

I went with my family, and all i wanted was some bread, thats all, warm, hot fluffy bread. We asked for it at the beginning of our meal and we didnt get it until she dropped the check… It’s not just me that thinks that is kind of weird right? Like«hey, pay this, but here is the bread you asked for over an hour ago» Besides that the food was okay.

I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants to begin with but when I was to choose between TGI Fridays and Bertucci’s we went with Bertucci’s. In the past we have gone with Pizza(the safe choice) but during this visit I tried the cod, my wife had a chicken pasta dish and my son had chicken park. The chicken parm came with a salad which we had to send back due to the large pieces(yes 2) of hair in it. The cod tasted«ok» the sauce was obviously canned and I got terribly sick on the way home. I am 99% sure I was hit with food poisoning. My wife ordered a dish she used to love and said it was not nearly as good as it used to be. My son is 14, he ate the chicken but said the pasta was too dry(not much sauce). Our waitress was great, she did all she could. It was a busy night. They even ran out of regular glasses and she had to bring our beverages in small glasses. I was not impressed and probably won’t return.

This place has two listing on Unilocal,it appears one is based on looking at the place from the outside of the mall and one from looking at from the inside of the mall. It is the same physical restaurant. This place is part of the mall, it’s entrance is insider the mall. The drinks are good, not watered down like at a lot of places. The thin crust pizza are basically real good, but that is highly dependent on the toppings. Stick with just plain cheese or roast black olives. Every other topping is used in miserly amounts, if you are lucky one piece of topping on a slice. Also they are terrible at predicting wait times. Take any wait time the give you and double it.

I have been to this Bertucci’s restaurant multiple times, and it’s always been a pleasant meal. In rating this restaurant and location, I compare it only to itself and other chain restaurants. For a casual, simple meal… this restaurant is a nice option. For a Bertucci’s restaurant attached to and residing inside a mall, the atmosphere is not bad. It can get a bit loud and busy at times, but that comes with the territory. It’s still a decently sized restaurant, so it is possible to get seated away from the door to assuage this complaint. It’s still the type if restaurant you could bring a date, providing you select the right seating area. The food is superior in quality to other chain restaurants, and in my opinion, has one of the best pizza’s around! My buddy and I also split a pitcher of their red sangria, and I was more than pleased with how good it was; it’s now on the top of my list when I want a nice sangria! I also would be remiss if I didn’t mention the pre-dinner rolls. They’re just heavenly. Coupled with the oil dip they provide, it’s truly one of the best, if not THE best rolls served by any restaurant I’ve frequented. The service seems to be solid at this restaurant. The waitstaff are professional and well-trained, and add to the dining experience. I was happy with the service I received. Overall, a good restaurant whether you’re out on a date, or stooping off with the family for the night. It won’t be a rich, memorable dining experience, but it will be a good meal which will make you happy, and that’s good enough. 3.5 stars

Okay Bertucci’s a good family restaurant. Good quick meal for adults and kids. Can get busy, usually a wait, and the service is fine. Started the meal with bread rolls and also provided free salad. The«Sporkie» flat bread pizza was very good and is highly recommended. The kids Alfredo was a bit soupy. Good place to eat while at Solomon Pond mall, we’ll go back.

Its Bertucci’s. Its my favorite pizza! What is not to love? On this visit the rolls were gross(small and hard) but I have my family on a diet so after one nibble it was an incentive to put them down. Pizza was GREAT as usual. But our server TOOKTHECAKE, ROCKEDIT! And the staff? MUA!!! I have a broken foot and scootered into the restaurant. They found me the right table, and made sure that I was well tended to. On another table, another diner with a busted foot but no scooter(poor bastard, crutches suck, but I think I sold him on the scooter as he oggled mine in envy and stopped me to ask!). There is something to say about a place that takes care of people and put people first. THIS Bertuccis, thats a signature!
