Nice little diner just off I-69. As a local, it often goes unnoticed and forgotten but this morning I was craving one of those old time filling diner breakfast and this did not disappoint. I ordered the hashbrown haystack, which is basically all breakfast necessities piled and smothered with gravy served with a side of toast. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and remarked that it was also good, although he would do without the green peppers next time. They have weekly lunch specials that can be found on their Facebook page. All in all a nice little place for a quick, tasty meal with a convenient location.

We were in the area for a funeral and decided to stop in for a late lunch. The food was great! We had the special, which was chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans and a glass of the best sweet tea that I have ever had this far north. Since the service was so great and we weren’t ready to leave, we decided to try the brownie and it was delicious!

Great spot to eat! We ordered the Reuben burger which was delicious and HOT! Rhubarb pie for dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. I would recommend anyone looking for a quick delicious meal!

I wish I could come here again, but we just stumbled upon this place by accident while passing through the state. Don’t let the outsider tool ya. This place is what American Diners are supposed to be like. From the outside you may expect some greasetrap but the inside is just superb. You walk in and get greeted in a friendly way and the first thing you notice is that it smells absolutely clean. The food, well, I was going to take pictures of it but before we realized, the 4 of us had cleaned our plates already. It was just the way we wanted it. Eggs over easy or over medium at exactly the right temperature. Toasts NOT soggy with grease but just right. Country fried steak to die for, for a little over $ 8. Yup, this place is awesome.

Stopped for lunch today after reading reviews here. Service was quick and attentive. Burgers were fresh and hand pressed. Fries were frozen crinkle cut. Had to pass on those. Betting breakfast is a winner here!

Stopped for a coffee on a long road trip. What a delicious oasis! I couldn’t believe how friendly our server Robin was. She pointed me towards the homemade all-beef burger, and I was not disappointed! The place was so clean I thought it was brand new. Highly recommend!

After two years I finally noticed the diner’s sign, high up on a pole driving along I-69. Everyone knows and stops at the Waffle Houses along the way. But having a diner this far north, in Markle? Everyone needs a little bit of help once in a while and, «It takes a Unilocaler’s» review«with color pitchers». Since I already had eaten in Anderson about fifty miles away, I decided to only have coffee with a piece of cherry pie. It was a very good order, for any traveler. What I noticed was how my pie appeared to be homemade, since I did not want it to appear obvious that I might stand out asking to many questions What I did notice was how large the one persons sesame seed bun was with his equally large double cheese burger. Along with thick French cut French fries. The other orders appeared to be equally generous. In my opinion, you would receive a much better quality, and amount. Than you would, at a Denny’s? A very easy example since you may have already eaten there. And yes I think I will be going there again, before some of the Waffle Houses except the one in Anderson, I like the employees there.
