A small place where servers are quick and efficient. I ordered the Mexican omelette and it was very good. I liked that it didn’t have an overload of cheese. All the ingredients were nicely balanced. My girls ordered eggs and pancakes with bacon, and they ate it all, so that’s always a good sign! My husband ordered the seafood omelette and he said it was delicious. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in the area!

My husband and I decided to try this place out since it had such high ratings. Got there around 11 for a late breakfast. Took 20 minutes for someone to even greet us. The person that finally came to take our order walked passed us probably around 10 times before even saying hi and to get our drink orders. Besides that our breakfast was delicious. But I didn’t like getting ignored for more than 15 minutes. Very rude.

Smoked salmon eggs benedoct was super good but the hollandaise sauce was a little sweet and the country potatoes were dry and more like fries. Huevos rancheros was amazing and large, i couldnt finish half of it. Reasonable prices for the amount of food youre given.

Great food, great customer service. This is a hidden gem in Marina. My son in law brought me for my birthday. I had Ticos egg breakfast with sausage. The sausage was to die for. I will be back.

This is a really good little place. The location is definitely a little confusing and weird at first. It’s sort of hard to find on the side of an Asian strip mall and is kind of hidden by the market next door. Once you find it and walk inside, it is pretty charming. It is almost always pretty empty but many of their customers seem to be regulars. Service is very friendly. Nothing over the top or professional, but nice and attentive. It is a family business so everyone seems to care about the food and service, for the most part. Food is good. I was surprised by the quality and taste of the food the first time we ate here. I expected mediocre diner food; however, their food is far superior to that. Items are fresh and of high quality. Their breakfast specials are awesome! We had mango pancakes the first time we were here and they were amazing! We have also been here for prime rib dinner night and both entrees were very good. Was it the most amazing prime rib I have ever had? No, but it was $ 30 for a nice cut of prime rib, two sides, soup, and dessert. So, the value was awesome! Everything here is just good. Nothing pretentious or stuffy. Just a very good casual restaurant.

Very nice place, serving breakfast anytime. Eggs Benedict was pretty good! I will be back to explore more of the menu. It looks like they have nice specials.

This is a cute little family run place with very good food. We had their specials… Mango pancake and sweet corn omlette which were both delicious. The warm veggie sandwich was also very good. Great place for vegeterians. Would recommend theis place for breakfast and lunch.

No other words. It stunk so bad when we walked in we had to leave. Filthy market next door. Maybe the health department needs to look into this place.

Solid 3-star local spot for breakfast/bunch! Wysiwyg, diner style food, coffee and traditional breakfast. Eggs Benedict was great and hollandaise was freshly made.

Pretty dang good. Maybe not the absolute best brunch I have ever had, but for a small place it was delicious. I ordered the mushroom omelette which comes with hollandaise sauce on top. They skimped a little on the hollandaise sauce but it was so good as a whole dish I didn’t really mind. The potatoes were a little heavily seasoned for my taste, prices were fair. 4 stars!

Best biscuit & gravy I’ve ever had on the peninsula. Amazing omelettes! Super fresh fruit, too!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Marina. I love having breakfast here because it is small and intimate. The service is always kind, always has big smiles. The food is always consistently good. My favorite part of this place is the atmosphere. It is small and very homely!

First time having brunch here, and the food was amazing! Service was awesome and quick but the restaurant itself is on the small side however it was cute and the décor was cool. We ordered the Nova Scotia egg Benedict and fresh seafood omelette, and we are so glad we did. It’s the first time in a long time we had really good breakfast food. Portions were right and the food is like I said… AMAZING!

I’ve been here a couple times for brunch with my boyfriend, and we’ve absolutely loved everything here! The décor is cute and has that«I’m in my grandma’s kitchen» vibe. The food is reasonably priced, considering the quality of the food and how big the portions are. I got the croque monsieur and it was sooo good! It was very flavorful without being too salty at all. It also came with fruit on the side, and it was so fresh and sweet. I remember I was raving to my boyfriend about how good the fruit was, and he ended up eating half of it –__– My boyfriend got the crab cake eggs benedict and he really enjoyed it as well. He’s a pretty picky eater, and eggs benedict is his favorite brunch food, and brunch is his favorite meal… you can imagine how picky he is with eggs benedict. However, he actually loved it here! His meal came with potatoes, and was extremely filling. I had to take one star off though, because the service is pretty slow. They’re quick to take your order and bring out drinks, but I swear we waited like 20 – 25 minutes last time, when we were the only customers there at the time. I know the food is freshly prepared, but it was a little much.

Skip. The quaint in-kitchen dining feel & the impression of a home-cooked meal might endear you to Tico’s; what we actually got was slippery floors, food prepared without much thought(or love, if we’re sticking with the home theme), & slow, distracted service. My friend’s coffee cup was only refilled once & that was after several attempts to flag down our waiter. As Tico’s is touted as a breakfast spot, I expected more oomph from my wild mushroom omelet(with swiss & hollandaise.) Perfectly blah. Skip.

I just don’t get reviews in the Monterey area, and certainly don’t get the food. Each time i visit my family here from Vegas i look for something different to eat in hopes ill find a gem. I saw Tico’s with solid reviews in Marina where my family resides and grabbed food to go for my grandparents and I. Simple food… 2 cheeseburgers and a club sandwich. The burgers were in the top 3 driest hamburgers i have had my entire life, and the patty was small. The club sandwich was just a basic minimal meat club. The fries were crispy but again just nothing to write home about like all the other reviews. Ar $ 10 each item… im gonna stop going to small business and taking my money to the chain restaurants which is sad just to say. I will not return.

Outstanding!!! Everything… food and service! We tried a side of the apple fritters based on Unilocal reviews. This perfectly fried little apple dumplings are superb. Served with a side of syrup. Yum! I had the eggs benedict. Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had. They make the hollandaise sauce daily. It’s perfectly creamy and full of flavor. The eggs were the right amount of runny on the inside. Perfectly toasted English muffin with a nice chunk of ham toped with the egg and drizzled with the hollandaise. Served with their country potatoes. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, seasoned little cubes of potatoes. I don’t usually order orange juice but I did today. Why? Menu said fresh squeezed. Off the hook!!! I had to control myself from drinking down the whole glass right away! I can’t wait until we’re in the area again so we can eat here!!! Oh…and if the food wasn’t enough reason to come, the service is top notch. Not once was the coffee empty or dirty dishes left. Everyone is very attentive-even when busy!

My husband and I were taking a day trip up to Carmel and decided to stop by this gem because of its raving reviews, and Tico’s did not disappoint! This is an adorable family owned restaurant hidden in Marina, CA. We ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice and ordered the Nova Scotia Benedict, which were both oooohhhh sooooo good! They have the best hollandaise sauce!
