The Tap is my go-to place for wings and drinks, it’s what I want from a dive bar, the staff is friendly, casual and knows what I like. Highly recommend!

My family and I go to «The Tap» a lot. It’s our local place for good wings, beer and watching a little sports. Invariably, we always run into someone we know. But last night(a Friday night), The Tap really hit a new low. Practically every beer that we wanted on draught was out. We went through three or four beer choices: Out, Out, Out, Out. We laughed at our table that the name is Suburban Tap and not Suburban Bottle. C’mon guys – as the weekend approaches, you should have every«Tap» full and ready to go.

Zero stars would be the most appropriate rating for this dump. Old, smelly, sticky, can’t see anything inside. Terrible food, awful staff. Was here on 7÷31÷15 and will definitely be my last. Half-hour wait time for a pitcher of beer on a non-busy Wednesday night. Rude bartenders. I honestly can’t wait for better competition to open up in East Cobb and put this place out of its misery. The sooner this place is out of business, humanity will be better off. Heres the thing: I really want to like this place. It is close to home, good location on 2 major roads, and somewhat decent local crowd. However everything else is a deal breaker. Stay away, far away.

It is rare that I spend an evening OTP, but this was one of those rare occasions. Kelly was having a girls night, so me and the boys decided to head out for some pitchers and wings. My friend Clay had been to Suburban Tap and sold us all on heading here for the evening. The night we went, I believe it was a Wednesday, was half price wing night. There were three of us that night and we ordered two lbs of boneless wings and two pitchers of beer. Each of us paid a whopping total of $ 15 a piece for dinner and beer, hell of a deal to say the least. The boneless wings were really good. They offer a lot of different flavors and we went with the hot, lemon pepper, buffalo and St Louis bbq. All of them were great, but the St Louis bbq were at the top of my list. It’s funny because each of us ranked our favorite flavors while we were there and each of us had a completely different ranking. This is a very casual joint and it was trivia night. The crowd ranged from hipsters to teenagers. Smoking is allowed on the porch, which is where we sat. Inside there was a pretty decent sized bar. This is not an upscale joint, but that is not what we were looking for. All in all, I see us going back for a boys night in the near future. That’s my word and I’m sticking to it.

The food is garbage! Order the club sandwich and philly cheese steak sandwich. Both were bad and had very little meat. Would not feed it to my dog! The waitress ask how everything was, we told her how bad it was and she spoke to the kitchen and bartender, they did absolutely nothing but bring us our bill. While walking out asked the bartender for the manager and was told that there was no manager there at that time. I called two hours later to speak to the manager and he said that he was there when we were there. Knowing this made the situation worse because if he was there he should have come to our table to see what was wrong. The place also smells like smoke and looks dirty. I would not recommend this place or ever go back. Tried to speak to the owner who I was told was tony they told me he was on vacation

They’ve made changes to Suburban tap and I dig them. This place is a dive bar, and set up the way a dive bar should be. They offer plenty of seating and high tops-that’s where my crew prefers to set up camp each week. This place is ideal if you want a place to blow off steam after work, the bar food is your average bar food but they’ve added a few decent menu items recently. I am told their burgers are pretty good. I might have to try one soon. Munches: They’ve changed out their appetizers and brought in new ones. The Chicken Wings are still good, the Mozzarella sticks aren’t bad either. I tried the fried Shrooms and they tasted great with the white dipping sauce provided. The Southwestern Egg Rolls contain collard greens and smoked BBQ-these are by far everyone’s favorite. A must try for sure. On Wednesdays they offer ½ off all appetizers and they always have great drinks specials too. Sometimes they offer loud music but it’s always too loud for me. Overall the service is very friendly, make sure you get what you want right away. They don’t always come back around often if the place is packed.

I came here a few Saturdays ago for Team Trivia. The service was extremely slow. We had to let the host know that we had been sitting for 40 minutes and no one had even been by to take a drink order. Later we found out that the server had«gotten lost.» I have no idea how that even happens. I ordered the steak skillet. It was very soggy — the peppers and onions were literally half covered in water. There was also absolutely no seasoning on the plate. I hope that they just forgot to season my dish and that that is not how they serve it normally…

Love it for what it is: a dive bar! My friends and I created a drink with our server and he kept em coming all night. Great live music too. Definitely recommend for a good laid back time.

Above average bar food, good service. Great drink selection. Great for family and adults looking to thrown down a few, rare for a sports bar to effectively cater to both.

Service was very bad the night my group visited. There were 5 of us. We waited for 30 minutes before someone came to the table. After waiting for 30 minutes without anything happening, I walked to the bar and asked if we should order at the bar(thinking this may be a place where there isn’t table service for outdoor seating). The bartender took my drink order, apologized, and said someone would be out to the table immediately(even if she were the person waiting the table and working the bar). We waited 10 minutes and still no one came out so I went to the bar again. Bartender talked to someone directly and asked for them to visit us. Going back to the table, no one came for at least 10 minutes. When we did have a bartender, she checked back in us sparingly. Not sure if this was an off night but the service we received was not satisfactory or acceptable. We will not be visiting Suburban Tap again.

Food is pretty tasty for bar food. The real reason I was here was to have a few beverages. That’s where things went a bit South. Great beer list in theory, but fails in execution. Lots of things weren’t in stock, more than really should happen even in a high sales environment. Time to update those beer lists or change your purchasing procedures.

dive bar with ok bar food. Had the burger here but wouldn’t recommend it for that. They had a singer songwrite competition that my brother was in. That was pretty good but I don’t think crowd vote should be allowed. I mean i guess it makes since as a bar because if more people bring their friends then that person will win(and buy lots of drinks) but it’s not a real legit competition. So yeah dive bar, if you want a bear or to hang with friends and you live in the neighbrohood why not. But I wouldn’t go here otherwise. Maybe if i played poker but not for any other reason

I attended a live music singer/songwriter competition which was a lot of fun. It was packed and the event itself was fun. The service was not good but I’d chalk it up to the huge crowd. I tried the chicken tacos and they were very bland… Pretty much the worst taco I’ve had in a long time… And I eat tacos A LOT! First impression says this might be a good neighborhood bar to hang out and have a drink… Expect bar food & super laid back bar– like atmosphere.

Good place to grab a beer. They have some great open Mic nights here. The Top of the Tap competition is a lot of fun!

DOCTOR: «Yes. And there’s no known cure, I’m afraid. Everything just seems shitty, and everyone starts to seem shitty, and everything they say.» STAN: «It just looks like shit to me, a bunch of processed, gooey shit.» south park’s season 15, episode 7 was playing in the background when the bf brought our carry-out food back from suburban tap. ironically, that south park episode was foreshadowing what we were about to eat. perhaps I should have checked out their reviews before givin’ this place a shot. that was my bad. the bf stopped by the place 3 – 4 hours before closing time. the place was slow. he said he saw about 3 tables or so. the staff purposely gave off a «I don’t want to serve you» type of demeanor. they were either absent, slow when present, and looked like they were annoyed that he even walked in. no wonder the majority of their ratings are 1 or 2 stars. there were absolutely no orders in front of ours, yet the 1 appetizer and 2 entrees took well over 30 minutes. wtf? and the fact that they were all easy food items. especially after opening them up and seeing all that they did. yeah, I don’t understand how it took over 30 mins. to prep. aside from the crappy service and delay, the food was sh! t on top of sh! t. literally. nothing looked appetizing. we ordered the. 1) nacho tots [$ 5.95] described as ««crispy tater tots topped w/house made chili, cheddar-jack cheese and jalepenos» OURIMPRESSION: 2 words, hollow and dry. there was no fluffiness inside the tots, and the fact that they were way over-fried made it unbearable to eat. the cheese on top was nothing special, but just shredded, packaged cheese. the jalepenos looked like they were cut by some 5 y/o since they were all inconsistently cut into diff. shapes and sizes. everything dried up so fast that it was so hard not to rip the tots into some messy crap. we took 2 bites and threw the rest away. freakin’ waste of $ 6. 2) smoked bbq burger [$ 8.95] described on their menu as «bbq sauce with smoked bacon and blended cheeses OURIMPRESSION: i’m not sure if someone forgot or what, but I tasted no bbq sauce in my burger. the way that the menu described the burger, you have no idea whether it’s just bbq sauce or if the bacon is cooked with it. or is the burger smoked with bbq sauce? either way, they failed since the bbq flavor never made it through. as for everything else, the burger was sooo dry and burnt on some edges. I never thought a pub or bar could mess up on a burger. it wasn’t even mediocre. it was terrible! another thing that I couldn’t finish =/ 3) lemon pepper wings [$ 7.45 for 6pcs] comes w/either fries or carrots & celery, but we passed on the fries OURIMPRESSION: the wings and drumsticks were kind of tiny. I swear even zaxby’s gives bigger pieces. at least the flavor was decent, but not enough to return. afterall, who can mess up on lemon pepper? all you do is buy the dry rub and sprinkle that crap on. OVERALL, I am truly disappointed in this place. out of 3 dishes, only 1 was finished?! that’s pathetic. save yourself some time and money. and just hit up a fast food joint. you’d at least get good tater tots and a juicy burger.

Yes, I know, a pub is supposed to be dark, fueled by junk food and cheap liquor, and– although controverse– smelly as well as populated by weird looking bar tenders and customers. But as to all in life– there is a limit. This place has nothing to extract as a good thing amidst the ‘gross-yet-cool’ realm, which, for example, I would classify Taco Mac(it checks most categories above, but has good beer, burgers and wings. Yeah, and cool people, depending on location). Staff sees customers as a burden, food is mostly out the cheapest costo staples and settings are… well…just gross and not cool. Love it? Well, this is the place for you! I’ll pass, thanks much.

I visited this restaurant/bar last night after not having visited it for a couple of years. I stopped going because I didn’t see much interesting in their menu, and I also found the service a little sluggish. I tried it again last night and was pleased with the experience. I sat at the bar and got some fairly decent service, although the bartender seemed a little stretched to the limit with the number of patrons she was serving. The bar is pleasant to sit in and there was a good crowd. It looked like there are a lot of regulars who come here to the bar, and then some families in the restaurant. It’s kind of an unusual mix of patrons. The layout of the place is kind of weird with televisions spread out in different parts most of which have some obstructions depending on where you are sitting. You might need to turn around to get a good view of a screen. I did not have dinner, but did order an appetizer. I was glad that they had something beyond the usual fried, fatty, and sodium bomb pieces that are typical for these establishments. I had a vegetable plate with hummus dip. A little unusual for pub food, but I liked it, although the hummus was a little on the bland side. Their menu looked like it improved a little. I’d like to go back and try it again for dinner. The beer selection is decent and better than average, with 28 or so beers on tap, although about half were standard domestics beers. Half or so were craft beers with several rotating drafts. Overall it was a nice, friendly, cozy place to sit on a Saturday afternoon.

I really want to like this place. Perfect location, great variety, but the service is just so hard to accept. We used to go to Saturday trivia. But we never can get a table, the bar service is so very slow, and their staff just don’t seem to be able to keep up. Nor do they seem to enjoy what they are doing there [granted there are a few exceptions but trust me you won’t have a hard time spotting them out]. .don’t both with reservations the high school kids already have it staked out. I guess high school students must tip really good tippers.

OHMYGOD. Its like the best dive bar I have ever been to. The food is great(for the place it is). The drinks are plenty. The staff is friendly and you never have to wait for a drink. The patrons are colorful(Sure some may be scary to the weak of heart but if your not scared of real people and social to any kind of person you’ll love it). And holy crap, during typical dinner hours they are kid friendly! SCORE. I didn’t give this place 5 stars because they are the crème de la crème of east cobb. I gave it to them because they are hitting the nail on the head for the place they are trying to be. A family friendly dive. At least that is how I look at them. Perhaps the owners have a different perspective.
