My husband ordered pork which is too salty like my lips are burning. While my swordfish and rissotto are too bland feels like eating a cardboard. Oh lord! How I wish Chef Ramsey is here to rescue this place. The staff are great and amazing service. Way too pricey! Not worth for what u pay.

I wanted to like Simpatico more because there aren’t many good restaurants in the Square(so far Thaicoon is the only one we’ve enjoyed). If you give Lonestar steakhouse more than 3 stars then Simpatico will probably thrill you, but if your likes run more towards Ecco and Canoe(mine do) then Simpatico is not your place. Let me say, we did not have a bad meal. It was perfectly edible and I think with some tweaks could have earned another star from me. The dining room is cozy and attractive and the service was friendly and fast. But the food… as I said, needs a few tweaks. Specifically: Duck Tostadas: the duck was good although a tad dry, and the tostada was crisp. BUT, there was so much«stuff» on top that the flavor of the duck was completely lost. If the kitchen would pull back on the goat cheese, lettuce and cilantro I think there is a good appetizer hiding in there. Duck confit is delicious… don’t hide it under tex-mex condiments! If you want to see an EXCELLENT duck app, look at the Maritana Grille in St. Pete, FL(duck wonton). THAT is duck perfection. Chicken Spring Rolls: Ok, but bland. Lobster Mac & Cheese: Too much bechamel, not enough cheesiness, and not enough lobster. I thought the shrimp got overcooked and thought it brought the dish down. And the macaroni was overcooked and mushy. Short ribs: Was more like a very overdone pot roast. Flavor was good but not what you’d expect in a short rib. The apple crisp dessert was really good… the apples were still a little crunchy and the«crisp» was buttery and spicy. We will probably give Simpatico another go, but for lunch, not dinner. I have a feeling their salads and sandwiches will be more successful.

Stopped in for a weeknight dinner and glad we did! Something for everyone on the menu, great wine choices by the glass, and all our dishers were excellent. The bacon wrapped shrimp risotto was soooo good!

We were on the square and stopped in for an early dinner. Everything was very good, prices were reasonable. Only reason they didn’t get five stars was service could have been better. He seemed to neglect us a little toward the end, justifiably they were getting very busy but then he forgot my coffee with desert so there went the fifth star.

I got Married at the little gazebo in Marietta Square not too long ago. My soon to be Mother In-Law let me know that she reserved tables at this restaurant, and I was absolutely fine with that. She has a knack for finding diamonds in the rough! 1st: WOW! Just after the ceremony, I ran into Simpatico and gave the servers and bartenders a heads up that about 30 of us were coming in(from the original 15 – 20). They responded with the best upbeat attitude and prepared their sections for us. I was very impressed with their expedited approach and soon so were all my friends and family! 2nd: We all were taken care of perfectly. Drinks were flowing, then food started showing up! We drank, we ate, we enjoyed! The Lomi Lomi oysters were to die for. I must have eaten 2 dozen just by myself. The Tuna Tartar was exceptional, and so was the Filet Mignon. 3rd: Nothing could have gone more perfect for everyone. We all raved about the ambiance, the menu, and the service. My wife has been on me about getting back over here to eat. I think I will surprise her this weekend. **If you live in Marietta and know of this place, but have not stopped in… YOUAREMISSINGOUTANDNEED A KICKINTHEBUTT! Go eat here! This establishment has something going that many places won’t or can’t even come close to. I look forward learning more about Simpatico!

My friend Kevin Harry is starring as Tom Collins in RENT next door at the Strand Theatre highly recommend you see it. So Simpatico is close and packed right before show time. We got there at 6:45pm the show starts at 8pm so you may want to get there a little earlier. We first walked in and were ignored. Bob stepped outside to scope other prospects. When he walked back in less than a minute later a very nice man approached us and lead us to a table right away. A very sweet young lady named Jesse got our drink order and told us about the specials. When she returned we ordered a duck toastado to start with. It didn’t take long before it arrived. Crispy round corn tortilla is topped with shredded duck, lettuce, and some salsa with a goat cheese cream. It was really good and light. For dinner we ordered two of the special fish entrees. The salmon and the black grouper. The salmon and grouper we both served with the veggies. They were a mixture of sauteed red onion and squash and zucchini. They were not over cooked fresh and crisp. The salmon was slightly over cooked. It was served with a wasabi cream sauce on the side which was really good and helped hide the over cooked texture of the fish. The salmon also came with creamed red potatoes. They were a little over stirred. I wished they had just lightly mashed them and kept some of the natural texture. Maybe even threw in some fresh herbs. The black grouper was my favorite. it was cooked perfectly with a light butter sauce. It was accompanied by a roasted red pepper risotto which was very tasty. Overall it was good and we will go back. Jesse was sweet and fast so we got to the show on time.

I enjoyed my meal at Simpatico so much that I’m trying to recreate it for upcoming dinner guests. The imitation-worthy dish comprised roasted pork tenderloin, polenta topped with spicy pepper sauce, and a row of fried plantains and asparagus stalks.(Clearly, I’m making fried polenta cakes to amp it up a little.) My boyfriend’s fried catfish entrée impressed me as well, particularly the jicama slaw. I thought I hated jicama, but it must be because the restaurant where I nearly gagged on it poorly prepared the white root. Our waitress appeared to be new, as she didn’t know the menu well and couldn’t describe certain exotic ingredients to us, but other than that, the experience was great. The Marietta Square location provided a nice reprieve from the bustle of Atlanta dining.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Simpatico, I was essentially able to enjoy 2 restaurants at one seating. Simpatico is the sister restaurant of Wilie Rea’s, which is a Louisiana style eatery. The nice benefit is, I was given both menus and told I could order off either. I sat at the bar which usually increases the chances of getting good service and it paid off. Brian took care of me and did a great job. He suggested I try the wine before I ordered and he was very conversational. I ordered the PEI Mussels as an appetizer, they were great. The sauce was a little unique in that they use red wine as the base, Brian made sure to make me aware of this nuance. Given the size of my appetizer, I was debating on ordering an entrée and when I asked Brian about the size of the pasta with andouille and crawfish(off Willie Rae’s menu), he explained that they’d be glad to make me a half order. It turned out to be exactly the right size, I loved it. The sauce was cream based but not too heavy. The sausage offered a nice kick. The only negative I might note was the fact that I was sitting at the end of the bar and on 2 occasions, the waitstaff dropped a wine bottle in the trash that was very close to me and it made a crash. The first waiter apologized and the 2nd waitress received a quick reprimand from the bartender. This let me know that they were engaged in the dining experience, so no downgrade. In closing, both menus were full of variety and I really enjoyed the service I received. Simpatico is a locally owned restaurant that’s been around 10 years. There are obviously a lot of regulars who eat here, it seemed like the staff knew quite a few guests by name. If you’re exploring the square like I was, I’d strongly suggest you give this place a try.

Nothing stellar in terms of menu. Food was average but good compared to your options in the area. Service was good and attentive. Overall, the menu was kind of all over the place and I think this place has potential. Not sure what the cuisine is because they make spring rolls, steak, seafood, pasta, etc… I had the crab cakes which was very good Salad– not so good Shrimp Risotto– was ok peach cobbler– was ok anyways, not a bad place but nothing to get too excited about.

Another girl’s night out… and wow, what a meal. I have been hoping to get back there! Everything we ate was fabulous… the hummus was delectable, my steak was the best I have had in ages — I usually never finish a meal when I dine out, and that night I was a member of the clean plate club. All of my dinner club friends also really liked their meals. I keep wanting to head there for a date night with my husband, because this was my favorite dinner club spot. I had a new wine there that I really liked, and my waitress went out of her way to write it down for me, so that I could try to find it. Unlike the previous reviewer, we had FABULOUS service. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Well, I wish I wasn’t the first to rate this restaurant, since my review isn’t a very positive one, but maybe this will entice others to rate this restaurant too – and hopefully there will be some better ones than mine. I took my mother out to dinner there for her birthday when I was in town visiting, because I wanted to treat her, and Simpatico has a reputation of being one of Marietta’s nicest. When we first arrived, there was no one to greet us, nor did any of the servers pay any attention to us waiting to be seated. Kind of irritating, but we thought the hostess was probably just on break or something. It wasn’t busy at all and there were plenty of tables available. Finally, a waiter walked by us and asked us if we’d been helped and we said we were waiting for the hostess to seat us. He said they didn’t have one and to wait a minute. After a FEW more minutes one of the waitresses came over and said to follow her, and she proceeded to take us to the very rear of the restaurant to a table next to the kitchen, when there were plenty of open tables up front. Before I could protest, she walks away and leaves us there with no menus, no water, no attention whatsoever. It took a few minutes to get the attention of another waiter to tell him that we weren’t happy with our table and asked to move, and at least he said, that of course we could sit wherever we want. Well, our original waitress didn’t seem too pleased about the move, and was very curt while taking our order, didn’t ask what we wanted to drink, or if we wanted an appetizer, or if we wanted to know the specials, and zipped away again just as soon as we had ordered, without even giving either of us a chance to order anything else. She wasn’t to be seen again until our food came out. I had to go to the bar and order our drinks myself. The food we ordered was just satisfactory, nothing very special, but not bad either. Not memorable, anyway for the prices they charge. I had wanted the evening to be something special for my mother as she doesn’t get to be treated very often. After our meal we weren’t asked if we wanted dessert, or anything else, they just brought the check and at that point things were just so absurd that we both just burst out laughing, and my mom said, «Was it something we said, or are you just having a bad night?», and the waitress said, «Excuse me?». I said, «That’s OK just forget it», and paid the bill and we left. Since we hadn’t had our coffee or dessert, we went down the street to the little Greek restaurant and had a lovely coffee and baklava, and wished we had eaten there for dinner, as the service and servers were delightful. So, if anyone has had a better experience at this restaurant than us, please leave your two cents worth as well. I love to hear about it.
