Just got my New Year’s hairdo and wanted show some 2015 love for this place. I originally stumbled across this wonderful stylist when perusing Craig’s List ads for hair specials /discounts. Since then, she’s done a lot of different things to my coif — from my favorite crochet braids — to bouncy roller sets — and fabulous flat iron looks.(I’ve never had a sew-in or extensions here but I’ve seen her work and it looks really good.) Personality-wise, she’s kinda quiet — but that’s good because when she’s not talking — that means she’s REALLY listening to the client resulting in the EXACT style you asked for — not a reasonable facsimile. Speaking of reasonable, her prices are VERY reasonable. And she’s really fast when it comes to braiding — like African fast. Lol. She used to be located in Marietta near the Walmart store at intersection of Cobb Pkwy and Terrell Mill — but she’s moved — but that’s not a biggie — because, guess what? She offers mobile styling too! That’s right — she will come to your home and do your hair. Love it! I’ve used a few other mobile stylists before and the prices were insanely high — so I can honestly say her prices are super affordable — especially compared to the typical Atlanta market /prices. She can sometimes be a little difficult to reach — but that’s understandable because I think she’s the sole proprietor /stylist so when she doesn’t answer, I guess she’s busy styling another client. I usually just text her when I need an appointment and I always hear back that same day — and she’s typically able to take care of me in within 48 hours. Thanks, Shaiye! Keep up the good work! **************************************************************************** UPDATE — because I’ve gotten questions about the prices — I’ll offer this info, crochet braids are $ 55 whether I go to her — or she comes to me, because I live fairly close to her(roughly 8 miles). Cornrows for children are $ 25, Cornrows for adults are $ 35. Sew-ins are $ 60. Anyone over 15 miles away and she charges $ 0.56 per mile(IRS standard I’m told). I discovered this because the other day while she was installing my latest crochet braids(with marley hair) — a potential client texted her about doing crochet braids and the client lived in Cumming. Using Google directions app she determined that from her address(301 W I Pkwy Dallas, GA30132 or 301 White Ingram Pkwy Dallas, GA30132) to the client’s zip code — the total round trip was 106 miles — so the client would have to pay $ 59.36 for travel, while the service itself would only costs $ 55. In these instances, I can only imagine that the client will opt to come to her.
