I would give them ZERO stars if I could. These are the rudest people with the worst customer service. Go to Wilson Brothers down the street. Wilson Brothers are fabulous. I tried to get my ring re-sized and they took 3 weeks longer than they said it would take. Also, it took them 20 minutes to get me an initial price and it was twice as much as Wilson Brothers would be. The owner is just a terrible person who tried to TRIPLE the price on me out of the blue. This place is awful. Don’t waste your time or money. also it is disgusting and smells inside. Terrible quality. Terrible customer service. Disgusting.

Got both mine and my wifes wedding rings here, but that did not give us any«goodwill» on subsequent visits… Owner(male) is totally rude, and the Mrs. is totally spaced out most of the time. Had a bracelet break 2 days after purchasing, and they charged us $ 35 to fix it… wont be back.

Seriously.. Wanted to give them a try despite all the bad reviews I read before going in. I literally just walked in and no one spoke to me for about 5 minutes. I asked the lady«is this where all your diamonds are located?» She looked up at me and said what? So I said” I am looking for your Diamond Collection.” she gave me a nasty look and proceeded to tell me that wasn’t the section I was looking at good enough and had enough diamonds right there in the one small case. Needless to say, I left. People need to know that customer services is number one –especially in a small family owned business.

It’s charming to say the least but not the friendliest people in there. I strolled and browsed and commented on a few things but didn’t get a response. I left without purchasing anything.

This place is awful! I took a watch in to have a link replaced! He said he usually doesn’t work on watches accept to replace a battery(should have been my first red flag) but he could do it. Yes he is rude!!! A week later and no call back I went back to get my property, well they couldn’t find it!!! Called the next day, they had found my watch but it still wasn’t fixed promised to get to it that day. Went back the next day it still wasn’t fixed, needless to say I left that horrible place with my broken watch in hand!!! And the only reason I selected that star is because I had to !!!

My ring still looks great and when we were in Atlanta Gerald re-cleaned it for me. I still get tons of compliments for it.

I went into JOTS to get a broken necklace chain mended, and I was treated well, with friendly service and a reasonable price: The resautereing of my chain took much less time than was initially approximated, and the JOTS chatted with me and were happy to answer any of my questions about their merchandise, which is indeed expansive, and filled with everything from antique pocketknives, swords, and shaving razors, to carved jade miniature statues, framed classic movie posters and art, and meteorite fragments. An all around positive experience!

I love working with Gerald and his wife! I walked into the store during one of the busiest days of the year, and though he was super busy, he agreed to repair my wedding band(eternity band, diamond fell out) and clean my ring and my friends ring. He said that not many people would do so on a Sunday afternoon and I know he was right! My ring was poorly made, unfortunately, and another diamond fell out. Gerald replaced it again, and reconfigured my wedding band so that no other diamonds would fall out again. He said if they did, he’d replace them for free! Such a fun store and wonderful place to shop. I won’t work with anyone else for my jewelry needs!

Response to Allison T.‘s Review: The owner is an A**hole and his shop is beyond dirty with layer upon layer of dust everywhere. Dog or no dog. The jeweler has the worst manners! I used to love strolling through this shop… Until the jeweler actually opened his mouth to speak! I went in to get my ring sized with my fiancé yesterday. While we were waiting, 15 minutes plus since there was only one person there helping anyone, we decided to look around the shop. While looking around I came across the dog that he has chained up in a corner. I asked if he was sweet and got no reply. So upon seeing that he didn’t exhibit any aggressive or scared body language(I’ve been trained on dog body language by the pet store I used to work at) I put my hand up for him to sniff. He gave me a few licks and the jeweler freaked out! He told me the dog would bite and that I wasn’t smart for putting my hand out for a large dog like that. He actually told me I wasn’t smart!!! A customer! I was so taken a back by his rudeness. I wanted to tell him having an «aggressive dog» in a retail location wasn’t smart!(liability! good way to get sued) I was so disgusted that my fiancé and I left right away and took our business down the street to a much nicer and more professional jeweler. The Wilson Brothers Jewelers treated us so much better! We were in and out in a few minutes. Not to mention their shop is a ton cleaner! If you want a jeweler on the square go to Wilson Brothers!

We went to Jeweler on the Square when my husband and I were looking for my wedding and engagement ring. Its a very small antique and jewelry store with a lot of very beautiful… very very expensive things(jewelry or no). Gerald, I presume the owner, is not the most courteous of entrepreneurs and seems very affronted when you ask to see something. Customer service may not be his thing, but it is a place to go see.
