Wow, the Stillwell Ranch RV Park is absolutely fantastic! Saying that the scenery here is spectacular is a complete understatement. The RV park itself has great facilities, including showers and restrooms. The RV park store has just about everything you might need, from toiletries and DVDs to booze and ice cream. They also sell propane, firewood, blankets, and air mattresses, just in case you forgot something. There isn’t much for cell signal out this far, but they do provide wifi at the store. We didn’t stay in an RV, but I noticed a ton of electric/water hookups, so I’m sure it gets pretty busy during peak months. There were also a lot of well-maintained campsites, and even some more remote ones if you prefer a little solitude/privacy. The guys that run this RV park are incredibly friendly. They’re also really knowledgeable and can tell you all about the history of this part of West Texas. Don’t miss the Hallie Stillwell museum that’s there, too. This amazing lady used to own the ranch, and she was tough as nails. We also met the new ranch owner, who was a really cool guy. He said we were welcome to drive around the ranch a little and explore on our own. This is definitely a top notch operation. Forget about camping in Big Bend. I’d much rather stay at Stillwell and just make the short drive into the park instead. We will be back for sure!
